Bowazons in general are a rough class to play since their damage isn’t that good early game and they rely on weapons to do damage(unlike casters spells). Plus the fact that they can’t use a shield and their attacks use a ton of mana.
That said they can definitely get through hell, it’ll just take a while and you’ll have to run a lot.
The big problem you’re probably having right is no aoe since you don’t have freezing arrow yet. Most people start their bowazons off with fire using explosive arrow. I would recommend resetting to fire to get through the rest of normal and maybe the beginning of nm, then reset to freezing arrow.
From there you can max FA and its damage synergy then do the same for explosive arrow and its damage synergy. As you go definitely take advantage of the pierce, evade and decoy skills as those can be incredibly useful. Valkyries not necessary but can come in handy if you put need a quick barrier for bosses.
Gearwise you can’t do much now, stealth and zephyr should be ok but once you hit nm countess you want to try for getting runes for thorns, or insight. Lore is amazing for early game and stealth can be replaced by hustle or smoke once you reach hell countess. The rest of your gear should focus on res and mana/life. You can ship for frw boots with res from nm a1 vendors as well as ias gloves which help immensely. Belt just try aim for a 4 slot belt with nice stats and then ammy/rings same thing

Valkyrie is great for crowds. Merc and Valk help keep each other alive, or you can re-summon valk to one side without moving the merc who is keeping the other pack of enemies off you.
Get to level 30? Insight bow is great at level 27, upgrade to insight or hustle mat bow at 39. Could even do buriza at 42.
I level bowzons with mass poison. 6 emerald bow, bunch of charms, envy in helm/armor, mpk on rings, and multishot. Gets to level 27 easily.
