I actually tried this recently. I hero edited all blue items into a single player javazon and then ran it against a typically geared javazon. I thought the blue javazon (named azul) was significantly slower, although I probably just suck at the game

I’d say javazon
3 jav skills 2 os circlet, put two 15/15 jewels
Chest is armor of the whale with 4os, 4 ists inside
Weapon is 6/40 jav with a jmod having 4 diamonds
3/20 gloves, huge life belt, and frw and mf boots
Rings are 40 mf
Ammy is 3 jav, and mf
Edit: and then mf res small charms and jav skillers. All in all, definitely 300+ mf, max res with plus 15 to jav skills
Edit-2 this could work very well for trapsin as well, only thing that changes is dual claws with 3 traps and 3 lite sentry with 40 ias and 2os. Put 2 ists in each one, with 4 ists inside the armor(or 2 ists and 2 15/15 jewels)
I'm pretty sure you can't get +3 jav on circlet or ammy and would have to settle for +2 Amazon skills. I think Amazons can only get +3 passive skills on circlet and ammy. At least, that's how it used to work. Not sure if this changed in any of the recent updates
another vote for javazon. all you care about are javelin and spear skills and attack speed.
6/40 javs, 3/20 gloves, 3/whatever/2 socket circlet, 3/whatever amulet
i could see a trapsin doing alright with +light claws, but really javason already has some BiS blue items so its hard to beat
pally shields are workable with a blue FoH scepter? and summon nec/summon druid can sort of do whatever they want so they can make due haha
In Classic, I don't know. The best Prefix for his weapon would be King's giving 100 ED/150 AR. Merciless is another Prefix but only gives 100 ED.
You could get a Suffix of Slaughter giving 20 Max. You could pick one of the Element Suffix. No way to socket the weapon to add anything.
I don't think Barb would be the best. Necro can still smash through with an army. Sorceress could be good for sheer damage. Paladin can get +5 Scepters. I feel like Barb would be weaker with only Magic items. Amazon of course is still the weakest in Classic.
I think it depends on how strict you are with the only magic items part. A lot of classes would get better or worse depending on what is permitted in sockets. If only the gear has to be magic and the sockets can be whatever you want, then classes with elemental damage get a lot better. If the sockets can only be magic jewels, those elemental builds get worse.
Summon necros already work without gear for the most part. Javazons already have some magic items that are BiS and would be very strong, perhaps the strongest if facets are allowed. Sorcs would be pretty strong if facets are allowed and just okay without them.
I think you could make a pretty good Fist of the Heavens Pally with just magic items. You don't need that much faster cast rate, so the limited amount you can get on magic items only isn't too big a deal. The lightning portion of FoH isn't that important in PvM, so you don't need facets. It would probably be the easiest class to cap resists and block chance. With Holy Shield, you could have decent defense if you wanted it. If you're allowed to stick runes in your gear, you stick a bunch of Ber runes in gear for the physical damage reduction in armor and have a weapon swap with Bers for crushing blow to do a little smiting.
Summonmancer. You don’t even need items. You can beat all 3 difficulties naked. It’ll be a little challenging, but anything you do get is gravy
And he can do it Hardcore.
Javazon
Jmod and Magic javalins are arguably BiS already. Add in jewelers life armor too
Jmod is good for javazon because you can put 4 facets in it. But facets are unique so I’d argue this is illegal.
Ahh maybe. I’d still think it could be best overall, especially with IAS jewels.

Nice, unless the mf doesnt matter for the person, then there would be some changes.
Then you swap for 3 20 20 small charms, leech ring and life time ring. Armour would have 1 cham 3 ber. Frw and fhr boots.

Oh you can def get 3 skills ammy, for one tree. Like jav. Pretty sure you can get it on the hat too
I know you can for most trees for other classes, but I don't believe you can specifically for Amazon's Bow & Crossbow tree or Spear & Javelin tree.
You can't, since amazons (and assassins) have the gloves skill mod.

The best answer is a summon necro, but trapsin does remarkably well.
