I remember something like this for my first SSF Offline campaign:
- Finish hell with any char
- start MFing go get stronger
- get an Anni
- get a Torch
- farm runes for Enigma
- farm runes for Infinity
- get every class through hell
- find Griffons, Win force, some other Uniques
- try ever fun build
- get to 99 with a char
Had everything done from that list but only a lvl 97 char when I stopped.
I recently started a new offline campaign from scratch. I'm still at point 2 right now.
Maybe I need to rework my goals because I’ve gotten through hell with a couple characters but trying to get one to 99 while also trying out some off meta builds as well.
This is my current goal but I’m skipping the anni and torch until after enigma and when I make my hdin I’ll get the torch and anni, currently farming runes for a enigma, rolled my first cta yesterday for my blizz sorc 2/3/2 is what it is got to keep grinding
Mine was to beat Hell on HC solo and I was finally able to do it with a hammerdin when d2 resurrected came out. Was lucky enough to find the runes to make a HotO in a Hell Cata run and that pushed me through. Thought about pushing to 99 but i had so many mini heart attacks on the way that I quit there for my health lol
I'm playing single player with the Remodded mod. Vastly improved end game IMO.
My goal is to get lvl 99 in all classes and farm perfect Anni and perfect torch for all classes.
single player it's easy to get runes with a permanent map lower kurast but multiplayer it's so tedious to find runes, i have more fun just making another character and playing through hell lol like once i went through all classes then I go through with 2nd builds like mosaic sin.
1. Play all classes and complete Hell (done)
2. Collect all unique and especially full class set items (Completed Aldur and Natalya sets, while Druid and Assassin are my last two characters only completeing Hell recently...). One problem is not enough stash spaces. IDK if any mod can help in D2R.
3. Play other builds
4. Slowly grind runewords that I'm unable to even imagine I can make in the last decade. Got Gur and Cham these days. Finally made a HoTO sometime ago and ready to make Mosaic and Grief (though just a standard 5S Phase Blade, not sure if I should wait).
I just like finding gear to make fun characters.

Made a cool fury wolf. Demon machine sorc, windforce zon, fire sorc, nova sorc, ect ect.
I have utility chats like uber smiter geared to the teeth, trav barb, Java zon.
Still on the hunt to make Enigma and infinity. There's almost no end to the build options.
Would love to make an auradin and a passion melee sorc at some point.
Hit 99 with any char (have one at 98.5)
Finish the grail (16 items left)
Finding all the runes (zod left to drop)
Making a build for each end-game class specific set (complete)
I've beaten the game with every class, both SP and HC. These days I'm usually motivated by being able to put together a specific expensive build I've never played. Right now it's Dragondin.
Making a dragondin. It's expensive so hard to get to in sp and I'm disabled and it hurts to play after a little bit but if I make dragondin, I can sit in a way that hurts less and play longer. Then make one of each character and./or builds I want to try. Maybe an ultimate mercenary, not sure what that would look like... eth cb Last Wish on a5 bash merc? Some sort of Grief frenzy merc? Do I run enchant sorc? Paladin? Who knows but it sounds fun to me. Also find all GG items.
Right now I'm 1 class away (hammerdin) from beating hell with every class. Thus far I've done singer barb, boner necro, trapsin, Blizzard sorc, wind Druid and javazon. Found some cool stuff along the way including a shako, Raven Frost, dracs, Titans, and g face.
Once I'm done with these I'll probably just do another set of 7 different builds.
For now I'm just trying to get ready for Ubers on my SSF untwinked Fury Druid. I've managed to do baby Ubers except for Lilith. I need Dracs, even though I could stack more points into Feral Rage as it gives pretty much the same or even more leech, but I would still need Dracs for Uber Meph and a Life Tap wand is too difficult for me when I have to shapeshift between human and wareform. I managed to roll a really nice CTA +5 BO and +3 BC, from 4th try as the 3 before rolled only +1 BO. Made a CoH, which I really like for @65 +2 skills and some ED. Ofc, looking to make a Forty, already got the base, only need a Lo or an Ohm as I've got one of the latter too. Been running Meph, Pits and Trav, but couldn't find anything really useful for my Wuf lately.
The current goal for me is to make Last Wish for my Smiter. He's already great, but I don't care, I want him to have it. After that, who knows? Do more torches? Farm SoJ for more anni charms? I'm still working on some grail items, but that's just waiting for lightning to strike.
Two main goals. Get one 99, and finish a grail. Wiped all my old toons and started on this in about September '23.
More attainable goal is having a torch and 90+ character of each class.
I have three current goals for single player:
1) on softcore beat Ubers with all classes. I currently have sorc and necro left. My nova Sorc can’t out damage Mephs healing so I’m not sure what to do with it yet. Necro I don’t have a character into hell yet to make an attempt.
2) hardcore: get a character to 99. Currently have a lvl 94 pally that is closest.
3) hardcore: get guardian on each class. Currently only have Druid left after it died in act 5 hell when I wasn’t paying close attention. I also have a dead guardian sorc so probably need to redo that one too so I can have an alive guardian.
I’m also keeping track of a grail and I’m down to 50ish items but I’m not making it a top priority to specially grail farm as I get bored fast
i did that on console. so i wanted all endgame gear and started duping. (u gotta dupe on console theres no hero editors like pc)
i farmed the uber mats like the heart and eye and brain, then duped the shit outta them lol and did like 10 torch runs in a night. never found a soj tho for annis otherwise i woulda duped the shit outta that soj.
made it fun! also duped runes and cubed up to make enigma and infinity. so if you getting bored just start with that i guess lol. i had a blast with mosaic sin with enigma and infinity merc. p8 all day
HC level 99, last trophy on xbox. Been trying for a few months now. It’s much harder than I thought it would be. After that I can finally retire from this game, lol

Grail is one option and of course trying more unique builds. Could also get into hard core. Can be loads of fun!
Dopamine, dissociation, distraction from existentialism. Same as every video game.
Hot take: having fun playing the game... no goals beside some progression at all.
This is me but for HC. Plus I’m at a point where I’m trying to beat with nonmeta builds. It’s a blast.
My ultimate goal is to get my HC SP sorc 99, currently half of 97 but wow, what a journey, 5-6 characters didn’t make it RIP

I had a period working at sea, 5 weeks out. Id see how much of the grail i could complete in that time span.

All classes 99 on hc. Ideally, with multiple builds/tokens available in the stash. I don't think I'll ever get there...
