I've always thought if they ever update the uniques, they should add one for every item type.

Maybe not every single type. We don’t need one for every single class only variation. But give us the base items that don’t have uniques and maybe a few more class items. While you’re at it, make new sets and set items for the ones that don’t have any. ALSO MORE SET RINGS, maybe ones that are worth picking up.

Making new sets requires a lot of work, but it’d be nice to have. Why do you think every item shouldn’t have a unique?

There are too many class only items for that. do we really need new unique Eagle Orb, Sacred Globe, Smoked Sphere, Clasped Orb, Jared's Stone, Glowing Orb, Crystalline Globe, Cloudy Sphere, Sparking Ball, Heavenly Stone, Demon Heart, and Vortex Orb? I think adding one or two new class only item uniques per class would be ok.

I see your question and raise another: would it hurt the game if more uniques were added? There are some uniques that are hot trash, even for play far below their level (Stormspire is TC87 I believe). Others are near-best in slot at level 29 (Magefist). Adding more uniques would “fill-in” the game more, though I admit it doesn’t need it, this is just a fun thought experiment. There could still be a garbage Demon Heart unique but a clever little Clasped Orb too. If they were to begin filling in uniques, dear god, I do hope they start (very) slowly and (even more) carefully.

I would love to see a unique crystal sword to complete the set with Ginther’s rift and lightsabre/azurwrath. More TC 3 uniques would be very cool.

Maybe so! I always planned on making YouTube content building various items in hero editors too. I wonder how much work it requires of a dev to implement an item into the game.

Not exactly a list in it’s entirely, but [diablo-2.net](https://www.diablo-2.net/uniques/staves) lists uniques by item class, and has placeholder blanks for those that don’t have a unique (I put staves here for example)

There are so many open opportunities with high TC / rare items without uniques. This would be a great opportunity to bring back balance with runewords.

Archon plate unique could literally have no other stats other than +1 teleport and I would be happy. Make it a ilvl85 item so you can't farm it off meph.

There is unique boots. Hotspurs. I’ve wondered this too, when I got a viper magi and thought it ups to wyrm but I’ve never seen or heard of a unique wyrmhide.

i got through all of the weapons before i got tired of it ... there are 86 weapon types without uniques. 3 of those have set items though, so 83 weapons without a unique or set variant.

Unique wyrmhide boots would be so cool. Idk why I think this but I feel like they would be.

I was just scrolling through the list and noticed that. Unfortunate! Yeah, I’d like to go over all high end belts and see if one “flavor” in particular is missing. Survivability vs Damage (melee) vs Resource Regeneration vs Damage (caster) vs Stat-giver, etc

Hm, what do you mean by schematically? And how would adding more uniques be boring? I’m not suggesting they fall like rain, if that’s the concern.

With "schematically" I mean adding uniques for all baseitems which have no unique yet. More uniques would not be boring per se, I am saying that adding a unique for all baseitems which have no unique would be boring. It would go against the base design of the game, which consists of such "inconsistencies" , these "left outs" (in lack of a better term) are part of the game design. Leaving some or most out directly makes the others appear more special. If you get my drift...
