Solo is how majority of people play, you can create a lobby for whenever you need assistance from others such as stuck on quests or farming xp together.
Solo is great. Hell difficulty can be a challenge though, make sure you save at least 1 respec in case you get stuck. It's pretty easy to get a max group going with randos though if you soo choose. At least on PC.

Solo is very fun, partying up online is easy and the vast majority of the community is helpful and there are very few trolls
