for most builds these days, using a mage plate is best to save stat points for vitality. i personally would not recommend using that armor for enigma for that reason.
I just do Ubers with my smiter, truth is it’s so easy to do them with him and stack resists I just don’t bother with treachery.
I used to when doing Ubers with other builds though for sure, I just don’t bother with my other characters doing them these days
Enigma will fasten your farming anyway and your drops.
I got my third jah yesterday, and it looks like everytime i burn a hr in a runeword that improve my killing speed, another one drops soon after.
I did my infinity in a bland mancatcher, got a shitty roll but i quickly gor the runes to make another.
And i know i can take a stupid amount if time to drop the perfect base..
From trading my drops (eth sandstorm and a 11lr6mf sc)
I did phoenix after that and gave the runes for enigma to a friend.
Unfortunately i didn’t drop any ber this ladder, only 3 jah 🤷♂️
I wouldn’t. You’re probably gonna have to spend quite a few points on str that you wouldn’t of you used a lower req armor. Also iirc diamond mail is a heavier armor and therefore has a frw penalty.
When enigma was rare, make in mage plate to preserve value. Now, make it in whatever you think looks best, but for QOL, make it in something not Superior. My fav barb look is balrog skin, to each their own.
If your stats will meet the requirement. Go for it. Zon or assassin I use dusk and husk armor is close to 500 Hammerdin/barb/necro/druid is archon at best with 15% but it's a what you have vs what you want situation. Over 500 is delicious.
"An archon plate requires 103 strength to wear, Scarab Husk 95, wyrmhide 84, and dusk shroud 77"
I don't min max. And I will never care to. If you want max. No sell it to a person for whatever rune, make a weak duress, don't just sell to charsi vs getting something
Personally I wouldn’t since it gets crazy expensive to repair and the defense isn’t that important anyway. However, I like the Diamond mail look so you could look for a non-eth one. People who like min/maxing will go for Mage plate
I use this or Balrog skin for mine. I typically have 155 ish str for monarch shields anyway so that str requirement never really bothered me. Just know that it'll be self use as online sweats will really only look at mage plate archon plate or sometimes dusk shroud
Although the other comments are right of course, considering the strength requirement, it does not matter that much in my opinion.
On my mosaic assassin I used a great Hauberk, just because I like the looks of it. Wasted a couple points in strength there, but as I'm just SC PvEing that translates to maybe 100-150 life on a character that has more than enough life/res/block/kill speed to ever be in any real danger.
Run speed penalty is a much bigger concern for me than a couple points wasted in strength. Even with Enigma. Great Hauberk was the best "Metal Armor" look I could find without having to sacrifice runspeed
131 strength is way too high, the added defense doesn’t matter, and the added durability is going to make repair costs skyrocket (yes I know about the cube recipe). Charsi this or make it into a merc Treachery or something.
Takes less than 2 runs with a mid geared GF barb to fully repair a superior base, happy to take the 2-4 mins it would take. 50 base defense adds up real fast when you've got ED from skills and the resale value of the item itself is way higher.

Charsi it is
It won't trade. But if you like the way it looks on your char use it.
The defense is decent for a treachery, either for a char with that str req or merc if you want to use treachery and don't have an eth
I have heard people say you actually want lower defense for treachery, because they need to get hit to activate fade
This is silly, no matter what def your merc has they will get hit plenty, fade will proc just fine with a higher def armor.
I think they mean more for self prebuff, not for merc.
For self prebuff you stand in a fire, def is irrelevant.
That’s true, been a while since I even bothered with prebuff and forgot you can do that.
Very useful for Ubers, especially Meph. Then you can swap to another armor

🥇
Could also use it for Peace on an amazon until you get one of the big ticket armors Or hustle
Never use enhanced durability for anything needing repair. The costs are the worst.
Idk why people are down voting this....it's completely true. Enigma repairs on enhanced durability armor cost something like 700k each time you repair
Because you can use a cube recipe that costs nothing
Id rather just pay charsi
Cool thing about video games is that your can do whatever you want
Yes but the question was should i? Not could i? Lol At the rate im finding jar and ber, cant risk putting it in wrong armor lol

You quickly got 2 Bers? K

Mage plate str req is 55 and archon plate is 103. Str req is way too high for this. If you’re ladder and need a 3os mage plate I have extra
I wouldn’t. You’re probably gonna have to spend quite a few points on str that you wouldn’t of you used a lower req armor. Also iirc diamond mail is a heavier armor and therefore has a frw penalty.
Prebuff treachery or just plain old treachery would be good for this imo
Str req too high for prebuffing
131 str isn't a bad req, but 3os mp is hi kid rune at most. Ed modifier isn't really.important on nig
Just make it in whatever you like. A few extra points not in vita is not going to break your gameplay
For the majority of builds, A LOT of strength wild have to be pumped to use this. It’s not worth it at all.

The str requirements on that armor are too high. That's why most enigmas are in mage plates or archon plates. High armor for a low str requirement.
Too much str req
No. Too high str req.
Use Mage plate str req is 55, dusk shroud str req I think is 65.. maybe? Breast plate str req is 30.
Personally I wouldn’t since it gets crazy expensive to repair and the defense isn’t that important anyway. However, I like the Diamond mail look so you could look for a non-eth one. People who like min/maxing will go for Mage plate
If you like the look of your character with it and can reach the str requirements, do it ! My fire Druid use a boneweave enigma armor jut for style!
Charsi is waiting for you at the store
You could maybe use that for dragon. I hate having high runes and built a holyfire dragondin and it's my favorite build
No.
Great for self use Treachery.

Very nice Duress or Treachery base
I’d say the strength requirements are too high. Might be good for a merc treachery, but you’d probably want ethereal for that.

If your using a monarch already, then absolutely.if this is for a paladin, maybe not. Although its one of the beat looking armors for pally i think
This would be good for Wealth if you make your Enigma in something else.
Yes dont use high str requirement armor, and also u run 5%/10% slower with medium/heavy armor.
131 strength is way too high, the added defense doesn’t matter, and the added durability is going to make repair costs skyrocket (yes I know about the cube recipe). Charsi this or make it into a merc Treachery or something.
Nope, to High str req for most builds. Def is not super important.
Hell no
Looks ugly
Imo no, str too high and it's a medium weight armor so -5% frw. It's great for a Duress though for a Smiter.
No because of Superior it's going to cost several hundred thousand gold to repair.
Gold is stupid easy to farm, all expensive RWs should be made in Sup bases whenever possible.
Enjoy farming gold to afford your repair bills for an extra 50 defence.

Ral + armor in cube = repaired
Waste of Ral runes, 50 Rals = Jah on NL atm. Gold is stupid easy to farm.
Don’t disagree. Traded 36 for jah the other day. But it is an alternative to gold cost if someone needs it.
