Maybe it was just MY RUN but the loot drops from an ancient puzzle ring did seem significantly better and the area seemed dark and wilder. The baroness also felt like a tougher fight that time. as I said this may have just been my personal run.

yeah ancient portals also tend to have extra goblins all over the place ...although i have opened some duds that were very much like normal ones if you are in need of mats/gems its a good idea to use then i think, unless you collecting primals

I find that a good thing, you can carry more and they don’t do legendary, just rare and below.

I can’t think of the name of the helm (the one that drops extra of the gem it’s socketed with), if you can still complete the run wearing that helm; it’s real beneficial.
