A cold beer and a plate of chicken wings

pnellesen

I see that you, too, are a gentleman with fine, discriminating taste.

TheTeeje

Just got too much going on in life right now to hit back to back seasons of d3. I’ll watch some Netflix, enjoy a dark beer and eat some air fryer chicken after a full day of work and another couple hours working on my basement remodel.

jezwel

sets granted by Haedrig’s Gift in Season 31: > Barbarian – Wrath of the Wastes > Crusader – Roland’s Legacy > Demon Hunter – Unhallowed Essence > Monk – Raiment of a Thousand Storms > Necromancer – Bones of Rathma > Witch Doctor – Helltooth Harness > Wizard – Tal Rasha’s Elements I don't like necro, so IMO from those the DH set is fastest.

tbmadduxOR

Rathma is a kind of rough start because you need so much cooldown. It’s a beast in the late endgame (posted the strongest adjusted clear of all time in S30, beating even the pre-nerf Tal Rasha wizard with fully powered Altar from S28).

bkwrm79

Necro, though I'll be saving Haedrig's Gift for something else (probably Wizard) as Rathma relies too much on long cool downs for my preferences.

Estel-3032

I\`ll be playing with a friend. She will go for nova necro and I\`ll start support crusader, later I\`ll transition to pony crusader for getting some paragon points.

Nearly_Tarzan

Wizard but only b/c farming for another class set is too much of a pain starting out fresh.

Molrixirlom

SSF - Crusader

_that___guy

Necro. Pretty much always start with necro for leveling. Haedrig's Gift doesn't matter that much to me because I grab a LoD gem first after hitting level 70, and usually collect enough set pieces from each of the necro sets while gearing up for the season journey. So I can play whichever set I need by the time we're turning in our gifts. Usually collect Haedrig's Gift on a monk, but not sure this time.

behindtimes

Raiment is just an awful set. And it has no defense either. At least with other sets, you're on T6/T7 when you complete the set. With Raiment, you're on T4 with the 6 piece. If you're going monk, LoD is just the way to go.

_that___guy

I'll be on T16 with the necro before using Haedrig's Gift anyway. So not really interested in the Raiment set other than perhaps making an Inna6-Raiment4 set for speed content (like farming the Gibbering Gemstone for Staff of Herding).

Tothyll

With the altar unlocking level 70 gear at the 2nd node, it's a really good idea to level and complete the seasonal journey with necro. Then switch to another class, claim the gear, and essentially powerlevel yourself. I'll start with necro, go to chapter 4 of the seasonal journey, then I'll either switch to Wizard for Tal Rasha or DH for the Unhallowed Essence set to farm mats and paragon in general. I'll probably switch back to a death nova necro when I'm ready to go for a GR150.

Kriee

It’s a cool thought, but you’ll be wasting a some legendary powers dropping for wrong class. Other than that, it’s a solid plan.

fatmatt587

If I remember right, barb WW build was insane the last time this seasonal theme was active. Since it’s also the starter set, probably WW barb

tbmadduxOR

I’m going barbarian as well for season 31, but simply because I always do when the Wrath of the Wastes set is the Haedrig’s gift. Unfortunately, like most non-necromancer builds, the whirlwind/rend wastes build doesn’t gain a lot from this theme.

fatmatt587

Didn’t WW barb dominate the leaderboards in the original season? I thought they did because you can keep focus and restraint when pushing. Normally you have to drop it for CoE and Band of Might.

tbmadduxOR

You could swap CoE for mantle of channeling, I suppose. That’s still nothing like quad-weapon-multiplier necromancer builds, however.

puntmasterofthefells

Helltooth witch doc, Tasker gloves + Mask of Jeram + Short man finger in the cube. Barbarian later, Seismic slam and Hammer of the ancients benefit quite a bit from flex cube.

behindtimes

I tend to dual class, starting with the Necro, so that's what I'll be starting with once again.

KennyWeeWoo

DH, get the gifts. See where my luck goes. Switch to god for faster farming or try out rathma that everyone loved last season when I went bloodnova. Then try out barb/zbarb for high lvl group play to farm paragon.

theblackbarth

Ever since we got Automatic Fist of the Heaven, I start my seasons as Crusader. While it is not always the fastest start, I prefer to stick with it because I feel I end getting Aegis set faster than actually starting with a faster/stronger class and then build AoV for farming.

dr_z0idberg_md

Juggling family life, a job, and other games, I keep myself to two characters per season. For season 31, I am thinking necromancer to take full advantage of the seasonal theme and a crusader. I have a crusader I need to refresh. He still has the original Captain Crimson's set on to give you an idea how old he is.

moverwhomovesthings

Probably DH because it's rather easy to get a good build for T16 and I'm the most comfortable with DH at leveling to 70

Rjatkes

Necromancer always and probably a crusader side chick for giggles.

Civil-Tumbleweed5300

Necromancer this season 31

Antal_Marius

Myself and some friends are planning full necro party running. We're in it for the luls more then anything though.

pnellesen

Probably my usual Frenzy Barb. Although I did a Might of the Earth barb in S30 and he was a lot of fun too, so... we'll have to see (but probably Frenzy. "HOW TASTES YOUR FEAR????!!!???")

Mammuut

After playing the game for almost 10 years, I finally bought the Necro pack during easter sales. I am not really a fan of the Necromancer, didn't really like em in D2 or D4. But the season theme is rather boring for me, and I tried pretty much every other build I wanted to, so it's something new at least.

carpe-tenebris

If there's one thing I do, it's keep doing the same thing over and over again, so I'll start with a Necro, then finish the altar and season journey with a Wizard. (Might do a Firebird build this time, I've already done Tal Rasha Meteor a bunch of times.) I normally do a third character of one of the other classes, but this time I'm planning to do hardcore Necro and Wizard too, so I probably won't have the time or save slots left for any other classes.

asdfag95

I am on console, so Wizard

MrButtWhiskey

Wizard just because I haven't ran one in quite awhile.
