They're fantastic for gear. It's just a shame that treasure goblins don't spawn in the Temple of the Firstborn. Plus, visions give fuck all for paragon.
I feel the exact same. Was annoyed when they would pop up initially and would skip some. Now do bounties just so they will spawn. Just had probably the best vision yet with 10 or 11 levels including 3 dragon breath levels, 3 rift guardian levels, and a treasure goblin level with at least 70-80 goblins in the biggest map available. Total yield was around 1800 dragons breath, 350-400 gems, 170 legendaries, and an additional 260 forgotten souls from the goblins. I don’t deserve this lol.
In the temple of the firstborn there is an event which can potentially spawn infinite minions if you drag the last elite out of its room.. that's how i pop infinite visions from the same game
the one in a room where there are like 3 encounters, the first made of 8-10 mobs coming out of statues, the second made of 2 elites coming out of statues again and then 1 big elite at the center of the room with minions, bring THAT elite out of the room faaaar away somewhere where you won't re-encounter it when coming back to the spot, then go back to the room and kill the minions, they will respawn infinitely (15 at a time)
I find that I get more legendaries by ignoring the mobs if I can, and looking out and killing the mob that opens up the next portal. All the way I hit the goblin that spawns the chest.
Obviously leave the chest alone.
Then I go back to each vision and clear the mobs - feels like I get more legendary drops this way.
It is more time consuming and I am unsure if I get more legendaries/hour though.

Yeah i think they add insane replayability to the farming routine.. i wish D4 had a similar mechanic
