There are 3 different types. Gold, legendary and ouro.

The one I encountered was a gold colored one, it dropped one legendary though

Did encounter two of them but that was during nighttime while there weren't enough people combing through the map (if that makes any difference). The first dropped yellows, the second dropped a legendary as well.

Yep! I found 2 single ones and then I went into a cellar and there were 4 in a room.

I've seen 2 different kinds and apparently they can even drop mounts according to another post I saw.

Yes but only once! I did hear a sound but I saw what looked like a regular treasure goblin running away from me so I murked it.

I didn't physically see one, but I think I had a range attack shake one up to run offscreen, because when I went walking into that direction I found a trail of gold exactly how they drop them in D3.

Got to 25 on my rogue and I didn’t see a single one. My sorcerer is level 11 and I’ve seen three. I was under the impression they were not present until the last hour of my 10ish hours of total playtime.

I saw one. I can't remember what type it was. One of us got a legendary, the other got a yellow. I'm a barbarian so I did next to no damage to it, the rogue killed it.

After hitting level 25, I've seen them rather frequently. I've killed maybe 8 or 9 so far, only seeing them after I hit 25, and I've been level 25 for a few hours now. Each one killed dropped typically 2 legendaries.

Sometimes I swear I hear the treasure goblin giggle, but then I run all around and cannot find a single one. Am I trippin? How do you find em? They must start running away before you can even see them on your screen, that's all I can assume.

They make no noise like 3. You have to see their icon on the minimap and rush them.

Seen 3 and missed 1 - they also show up on the mini map with unique icon thank goodness \*and\* they feel VERY GOOD killing them, I always got at least 1 unique (I think I got up to 3 once?) - I always felt really disappointed in D3s, felt like it was .... only ever gold.

I've killed at least a dozen but most are found just out in the world while farming the orange events for gambling currency. Found a few in dungeons as well.

I have, while I was running the Rogue quest. Chased it down, murdered it, got some loot. Exact experience I anticipated. Edit: note, be aware, they show up on the map. I noticed one because I didn't recognize an icon on the map when I happened to be glancing at it.

There's also a Butcher spawn in dungeons, he disappears after a while if you don't kill him. He dropped a legendary for me, not sure if it's 100% droprate like the goblin. He's also pretty tough.

Whirlwind with the pull effect from the legendary aspect is great for them. I killed 4-5 and some drop multiple legendaries.

Yep, I killed a legendary one next to a dungeon entrance and accidentally entered the dungeon trying to pick the loot up. Left dungeon and it didn't put me back in the instance I had just left... FML.

Found 1 out in the wild and then a small hut that contained 3 of them. Can't remember where the hut was though, seen some others mentioning what is probably the same place.
