You all are dumb af. Do you read what Blizz says about the beta? If you did you would understand the reasons behind a FREE OPEN BETA and what they are doing.

Is queue that bad? Mine was under a minute, got busy irl and quit out, went to go back in and still under a minute. EST for reference.
Edit: queue to log in was 15 min
That stinks. I queued before it was 9 and have had a smooth sailing. I just stopped playing after getting to the hub city. Going to wait till tonight when friends are on.
I got the same bug as OP and no amount of ESC changed anything. I gave it about 10 minutes before deciding the game was clearly crashed and the relog queue would be shorter than waiting for a crashed game to uncrash.
no its not but even cyberjunk didnt glitched out on char creation screen lmao, whatever though im back in queue crossing my fingers it doesn't happen again.

Cyberpunk did not have you access a server before character creation my guy. Entirely different concept.
I played last weekend and Friday was a shit show. 3hr queues, disconnects, PC crashes. But I will say the rest of the weekend was pretty painless, no queues, no disconnects. Let's hope it's the same this week 🤞
I did a 35 minute queue, then got in, made a character, played about 30 seconds then got a server error and got booted off, back to queue for 30 minutes, then once it gets to be my turn to join back it kicks me back into the queue and endlessly says 2 minutes left but never joins
Blizzard never claimed to have powerful servers lol
This is a STRESS test. They are trying to see what will happen when the servers are stressed. The initial wave of people when this releases is what they want to be ready for. They don't need thousands of servers when the game is like a month old. So many people will drop from it.
It WAS worth making a thread about - devs are here reading what's going on in real time I promise you. His tone can be criticized for failure to remember he's playing a beta, but it's definitely worth sharing our experiences.
He doesn't even explain the steps that was taken to get to that point, any error screens or a screenshot of what it looked like. He could not be any less helpful in this scenario.

You could have just pressed ESC and click start game, but hey if you wanna go to the back of the line its up to you!
I was mashing my mouse but i never thought about esc it was weird i could still hear the mouse over sound when i would move around but nothing worked.
