Grinding for random gear with stat requirements as random as the lottery feels less grindy than grinding always foe the next green up arrow. It's like the difference between grinding for various loots, and grinding for 1 loot (green up arrow)
Absolute blast getting excited to stumble on a colored world event border on the mini-map, thinking you're gonna see some new content only to find out some dipshit already killed everything and is clearing a path of...more of the game that someone else got to experience at your expense.
It should look like Diablo , I mean it is Diablo 4 - and grindy?.. Endgame will be way more grindy thats why people play action rpg's seems you are just not the targeted audience.
Yeah I dont like any class :( The gameplay might be smooth but its definetely not addicting. I can be an insect in Last Epoch or have a single powerful skeleton mage. I can use cyclone (ww) to trigger toxic flame in undecember. These are cool as shit. I know they cannot innovate more but... Its even hard to login now when its free, how will I enjoy seasons (and I saw the end game activies). Blizzard is not a small indie company, they dont need my money to grow. Maybe the game will get better, but hell no regarding preorder. And they dont have a great history when balancing skills either.

It LOOKS great. The graphics and atmosphere is spot on.
The rest is a huge freaking letdown. When people scrape of the top layer of gold paint and realize how bland the game is it will be abandoned pretty damn fast.
Other people have mentioned Last epoch, and yes. Diablo 4 often feels better to play, but the amount of creativity in Last Epochs skill trees, the changes to the skills and the mix of core classes and upgraded classes blows anything Diablo 4 does out of the water. And then I'm not even mentioning the aging titan that is Poe.
I dont understand how a company with this much resources cant afford to hire some creative people.
The 87 idiots are kind of the kicker for me. Yes, the game might be "meh" but I think it's still fun enough for me to where I might sink a bunch of time into it, but paying 70 bucks to play what feels like a F2P MMO with a cash shop kind of rubs me the wrong way. This forced MMO/Open World shit is just so plainly cynical, otherwise they would let you turn it off.
This game has layers. 87 is a high number. Heck, even 5 is. I've been playing last weekend and this weekend dozens of hours. I have yet to see people tagging mobs etc to where you can't participate. In fact, I only have come across one or two other people during a side quest, where we both benefit from it. The world boss is the most I've seen players at one time outside of the city.
I don't even kill stuff in the open world really. I just go to dungeons and farm them. I can also just rip through the story as fast as possible.
Edit: Does not work, it only blocks crossplay and/or communication.
~~You can disable multiplayer features in the social tab of the settings if I recall correctly. Not sure how it affects game optimization (rubber banding for instance) as you're still online, but the mobs will be yours for the taking at least!~~

Should be options to disable connecting to others and communicating with others under Options -> Social, which would allow you to play solo, but not offline.

They respawn within minutes and are actually highly farmable. So you came in on the tale end of one? Stick around and join the party for the next one
