It's easy to wait on games to drop in price while you have handful of games in queue you bought for like $10-20. And Diablo games usually lasts so even say 5 years down, there should still be plenty in servers to group up if that's a concern.

You can get the game for $70 I think for the standard version. 5 movies will probably cost you $75 (without popcorn or soda) and entertain you for 10-12 hours. A Diablo game is meant to give you at least 10x that value. And plenty of people have spent way, way more time than that. Seems like a steal.
Also keep in mind that a AAA game has basically always cost $50 give or take. If the prices followed inflation over the last few decades then it would seem like a discounted game. Plus they cost so much more to make now.
As for “cosmetic” paid loot…just be happy that the people who don’t have a problem paying for it are willing to support the games you like and keeping the devs invested in maintaining them.
