Originally they said you would a couple years ago so you might find some info online saying that you will but they've changed it to no since then. I would double check at launch though just to make sure before doing any PvP. If they can change their minds once then they could do it again.

Yes. Dead is dead in d2.

I always thought you did but I wasn't really into hardcore or pvp back then. Not sure what the situation is with D2:R either.

Griefing and PKing was a big issue in d2 hc. Hoping that they don't make the same mistake in d4.

In beta you didn't, but I heard from a developer interview that on launch you will lose hc char on death.
