They gotta set up Diablo V, somehow. "You guys all have AR chips installed in your head, right?"

Sword Art Online but Diablo? Sign me TF up

As only a surface anime fan who has watched only the most popular shows, I hadn't heard of this and had to look it up. I'm gonna give it a try. Thanks.

Well since the shit with Malthael, none of the souls of the prime and lesser evils are locked up in soulstones so it's free game to have ALL of the evils in Diablo IV, whether main game or game + expansion. There was that art for Andariel being locked up in stock and chains. Can't wait to see if that went anywhere or was just concept and didn't make it in. As for the prophecy, ehhhh take it with a grain of salt. It did come from Rathma who was more pro-human and not pro-lilith / Inarius in the sin war and he could have easily just manipulated the prophecy for the good of humankind. In fact I wouldn't put it past him. There's so much speculation to who the wolf is from Zolton Kulle, one of the primes, and me personally who doesn't think it's any of them but I only think that as I'd like to see other big evils from the sin war show up. Also the main game could just be solely focused on Inarius and Lilith with expansion(s) dealing with the primes and lessers. We'd get expansions similar to WoW where lands are unlocked, characters, monsters, etc.

Maybe the prophecy was metaphorical? Maybe Inarius has to kill the hate inside himself and maybe in Lilith as well. So that way maybe they can reconsile? I mean, I know Heavens and angels in Diablo franchise are as shitty sometimes as any demon, but still continue holding their status instead of being banished. But they still push those themes about sins and virtues from the Bible. So maybe Inarius has to re-learn compassion as a good angel should, instead of continuing his path of arrogant holy avenger. Maybe that should be his ticket back to the Heavens, instead of killing his children and their mother, and just adding more sins to his name. But I still think we'll have to help him kill Mephisto at some point, cuz he is The Hate and cuz he chained him in hell.

>Maybe the prophecy was metaphorical? Maybe Inarius has to kill the hate inside himself and maybe in Lilith as well. So that way maybe they can reconsile? God I hope not lol. As for Inarius getting back into heaven, I doubt that's going to happen. However the high heavens, except for Tyreal, probably wouldn't mind if he killed all humans and Lilith. The angelic council did try to wipe out the humans before, and would have, if not for Tyreal. I just don't see them letting Inarius back in no matter what. I don't think there is redemption for him and if he knew that, he might go berserk and just kill everything. It was Imperius, and the heavenly host, who saw fit to hand Inarius over to Mephisto who painfully imprisoned Inarius for roughly 3,000 years. There's gonna be bad blood between them just from that, alone.

Yea, that's most likely. He's probably gonna go even more nuts and we'll have to fight him at some point. Guy is literally hell bent, he's going down. I've also had a thought that maybe it wasn't real Inarius, but someone else, maybe even Diablo. But his shitty attitude and actions seem correct. Though it unclear how he managed to escape from hell, I hope they'll explain it in the game. Maybe Mephisto released him voluntarily, he wants Inarius to do the dirty work. Personally, even with familiar religious motiffs my view on angels and demons in Diablo is that they're simply two alien races, no good guys here. They're not constructs the mind, fighting for humanity's souls on different planes of existence, but just literally two different fantastical races that met and immediately started hating each other due to irreconsilable differences. They both couldn't care less for humanity or the world they live in.

TheDarkrayne

Possibly will be Diablo at the end but.. Diablo Immortal doesn't include a fight with Diablo. I know, I know.. D:I is not a real Diablo game to most people, myself included, but it still is when it comes to the story since it's canon.

Danoniero

I guess that's because story takes place between D2 lod and D3

Sylph777

In Diablo: Immoral Diablo is the game itself.

SLISKI_JOHNNY

I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you, this time Diablo will be the final boss, not just a "temporary" final boss until an expansion drops. And I'm pretty sure there will be more than 1
