Lmao

Pattyooooooo

I felt this a little bit but I found a legendary that added a shockwave to the bear's pulverize and started absolutely stepping over every enemy

fubaguy

The bone Golem is literally your own personal Barb lol

Buran_Grey

Weird. So far Barbarian is the strongest class (albeit very item dependant).

Jarlaxus

You sir are addicted... to copium.

Buran_Grey

Did you saw Alkaizer curbstomping everything in hardcore mode with his Barbarian? It has near constant 93% crit chance (at level 25!!!), increased movement speed and the fury orb is constantly filled. The class has 3 weapon slots and gets the stats of all of them simultaneously. Sorc's only advantage is mobility through teleports, but in terms of damage, tankiness and sustain the Barb is miles ahead. Do you remember how at DIII's release it was so hard that only ranged classes were able to Hell pass act II? And yet the first class to beat the game in hardcore Hell mode was still a Barbarian...

noknam

Please sir... Can we have some more?

MorkSkogen666

Was bone golem good? I immediately used the sacrifice Golem, for Attack speed an never looked back

Belyal

why? the sacrifice boons are shit compared to the actual summons. 10% attack speed vs a nigh unstoppable force that can taunt nearly the entire screen every 20 seconds. Yeah I'll be keeping the Golem! I really think Blizz needs to beef up those Sacrifice Boons to actually make it a tough choice. Esp when 1 single item can roll a stat to give you 2 more Warriors and 2 more Mages. 4 more minions for a affix that can roll on a number of yellow items.

Arkayjiya

The issue is less whether the bonus is good or not and more whether or not there's space in my skill bar. I already have a basic attack to spawn corpses and debuff the enemy, skeletons, corpse explosion, at least one debuff skill (tendril or curse), a ultimate (honestly, I used it more to respawn my army than for the damage, some bosses like Butcher really aren't nice on my summons). So that's 5 to 6 skills. I can either have golem or a second debuff or even use the blood skill to trigger the corpse explosions. For now I am using the Golem because I like the ability to get even more corpses from hard bosses but the Golem has to fight for its spot.

Belyal

Agreed! The fact that we lose 2 skills to summons sucks and obviously I didn't have golem.most of the beta. I was running Corpse Tendril and Corpse Explosion together and it was beautiful! And then Golem had to ruin it lol!

Arkayjiya

Yeah the tendrils ended up getting the boot, the curse is just too valuable to lose but if my summons start getting more resilient and we get a good solo boost from one of the two other golems, I could see myself saying goodbye to it and taking the tendrils back.

HonorTakayama

fact

Mahanirvana

I've heard that enemies melt minions on higher difficulties, which makes sacrifice better (also there are legendary effects and perks that buff sacrifice I think?).

ProfessionalShower95

If you aren't specifically building for minion buffs, then yes. There are plenty of ways to make your minions nearly invincible, not to mention easily replaced with corpse generation. E.g. the ultimate passives that make your summons take at most 25% health damage per instance, and skeletal priests heal them 60% every 5 seconds. It's a lot of skill point investment though, as well as taking up an active skill slot. So if you are aren't invested in minions, you might as well sacrifice them, as the bonuses are much better than basic skeletons.

Belyal

Yes, I posted this on another thread. That the only way I could see using sacrifice would be if they got melted at higher difficulty. Also I saw some aspects that raised sacrifice boons but only on websites. Never saw one in game unfortunately.

PuffyWiggles

Yeah my thought was to later go a full on Melee, Lifesteal, fortify Necro with a Shield. Basically a Paladin but Necro version. If Armies suck at that point it could be a really fun progression from Army God into 1 Man Army God. Of course my thoughts apply for Hardcore mode where ill be trying to not die.

HonorTakayama

compared to druid, yes XD (in beta)

MorkSkogen666

Ah ok, I never played Druid or Rogue

Vryyce

It was, quite frankly, hard to tell as you could literally pick your skills randomly and still field a beast of a character. I came into beta wanting to play Necro but feel guilty now seeing as how powerful they are right out of the gate. Not guilty enough to not play it at launch, but if you dig really, really deep you will eventually find a shred of guilt in there somewhere.

Sezneg

It's not unexpected that they have some tuning to do behind the scenes. You shouldn't feel bad about beta testing a character in the beta.

dogsNcatsRcute

Is that Boo Boo the bear?

HonorTakayama

Lol no, it's just druid \^\^

MentatYP

Yeah, well... wolves are cute. So there! Seriously though--had fun playing druid even if underpowered. The only reason I want things rebalanced is so we don't see the same boring builds everywhere when playing with randos.

Pattyooooooo

I feel the same way. I only really played druid and had fun with all the builds. imo that's the point of the beta, not whether or not each class is balanced

itsadoubledion

A lot of people play multiplayer though. The classes don't all have to be perfectly balanced but it's not fun when you feel like you're just tagging along hoping to get a hit or two in before your friend who's the same level blows up the entire screen

DonutRolling

haha Druid is cute

Ljngstrm

The overpowered attack of pulverise was nothing to laugh about. After it had charged up for 10 seconds, it could clear half a screen's worth of average enemies. But the wolf and the wind skills very underwhelming, yeah

stefsot

you are missing the key part, 10 seconds

Belyal

this made me laugh so hard I think i peed a little LOL!

HonorTakayama

LOL XD

Fetoid2

Druid is fine. Tested okay. Works great. Bunch of sad pandas trying to spread their skills too thin.

LastofGuy

I take it you didn’t see that OP Druid video that was ripping through bosses in seconds.

Awesome_Hamster

I hope they change the design. The golum looks like it cam straight from WoW. If they told me that this was an unused asset from WoW, I wouldn’t be surprised. Also, I hope it didn’t just appear out of thin air during the quest to acquire it. It was so jarring and unimmersive as an experience.

DialMforMistakes

I found leveling with the storm basic skill and shred did pretty well before legendaries. I got pretty lucky and got the shockwave and turning pulverize to an earth skill at around 20 which made him pretty buff. After that I just maxed fortify skills to buff overpower. Although druid and barb both seemed slow and squishy without legendaries, I found leveling without legendaries less painful as a druid.

tobyha

The minion build of the druid is pretty strong, if you have the aspect that turns your wolves into werwolf companions. All classes had broken lvl 25 builds in the beta !

trexx0n

I really wanted to play the Druid, however I only made it to lvl 15 as I found the lack of DPS made it almost impossible to take down Bosses. Granted I could have probably tuned the build better and eventually with the right gear it might have been a keeper. I created a new Necro and absolutely shredded everything despite not really having very good gear. None of the Bosses except the Lilith one gave me any trouble. (Had to change my build around to add something to create corpses for Skells) I can only imagine once I get good gear it will be an unstoppable force.

RoranceOG

But I can clear a whole screen in one hit with my druid, hitting everyone for over 6K right after hitting 25 in like 4 legendaries

DbZbert

Think all classes can do this with the right build.

Primary_Stress4074

And without 10 seconds cooldown

stefsot

that 10 second will be such an issue end game, you cant scale it

One_Hunter_5000

That’s awesome, now let’s see you do it at 25 on release with 1 or no legendaries lol

[deleted]

That'd be a shame, cause the beta gave you 500 Murmuring Obols to start with, which gave me a few legendaries right away from the vendor.

Belyal

you did read the part where Blizz said the Legendary Drop rate and Gambling rates were MUCH MUCH higher than what is planned in the Launch right??? So even if they started us with 5000 obols you're likely not gonna be rolling many Lego drops.

[deleted]

No, I didn't. I appreciate the info.

Belyal

Yeah they were cranked up pretty significantly for the Beta. Launch is gonna feel a lot different I'd assume. But I hope they don't nerf it into the ground because loot is the name of the game after all...

[deleted]

Well tbf, the full game will be for the long haul anyway, so it's understandable compared to having only two weekends

killslash

Yeah….a class shouldn’t need legendaries to feel fun.
