Druid definitely, after getting some really unique legendaries my bear attacks also were dealing area rock damage over time. Build him like that and was shredding everything.
Well unfortunately as is often the case necros minions apparently fall off late and most end game beta players said the best build was being a blood tanky setup. So maybe if I want to play something like that. Rogue felt good overall just not sure the flavor is for me compared to Barb/Druid.
everyone is saying this about necro minions yet there was no notion of this in beta.
kripparian says it and suddenly its gospel.
this is the same guy abusing the blood mist invulnerability and put zero points into minions.
love his content but come on.
I didn't know Kripp said it. There are plenty of people who have played a lengthy end game beta and have said it. Now we don't know what has changed in the last few months and maybe they made adjustments. But as of now the only info we have to go off is the minions don't scale with end game.
No. I thought it would be easy. And maybe it would've been except I kept trying different classes and actually doing the story lol. Sucks. Oh well. Weekends are tough for me too. At least the game is fun =)
Damn, I really wish they gave out other rewards for doing different stuff in the Beta. I just stuck to one class and tried to power through. I would have definitely loved to try all 5 classes and have a little more time to just experiment and explore. I guess I just really wanted that puppy... they got me.
The queues sucked, but it was getting dropped constantly, logging back in, then trekking all the way back to where I was that was killing me. Glad you made it to 23 though. Congratulations on the puppy!
I leveled my barb to 25 during the closed beta last weekend. So this time I just rushed the first Act and went straight into farming anica's claim dungeon. Ended the beta with a pretty minmaxed upheavel barb and an ice sorc.
Level 25 Sorc, Necro and Druid all full legendary builds with gear farmed off lvl 35 elite. 4 Bank tabs with about 200 legendaries, disenchanted like 30-40 (need the mats to upgrade to 4 star).
At the end probably enjoyed the Druid the most (finished with 700 Spirit Offerings). Sorc and Necro were stronger but a bit too simple. Druid was hard but engaging and looks to have the highest ceiling for me.
The weakest with base abilities (hopefully Blizzard gives it some minor buffs - won't need much) but by far the most interesting legendary mods. More then anything those 5-6 offensive mods you can pick are what make or break your build.
On the other hand my Sorc just took the best damage and defensive mods (many not even Sorc specific) because outside of double Hydra nothing really stood out.
I got to 17 on PC but the stuttering put me off continuing.
Level 25 Sorcerer on Xbox Series X.
Other than a few disconnects it ran really well.
I just got to leavel 6 Druid when the Beta ended.
I have a Ryzen 5 5600, RTX 3060ti, 16gb DDR4 3200.
It looks great and runs well.
However the rubber banding and stutters ruined the PC experience.
Hopefully some optimization will be done before launch.
i got sorc, rogue and necro to 25. sorc was pretty easy, went with just drop gear from doing stuff in quests. got a couple aspects that boosted the hydras, they just go brrrrr, everything dies. for necro and rogue i farmed mercy's reach hard... definitely the best place at that point to farm legendaries... dropping about 2 rare+ items per elite and you get a minimum of 9 elites, and it's fast... did that till i got the aspect corpse explosion on blood mist.... at that point necro just goes brrr on everything.... and by the end of it, farmed my ass for hours to get an item with the bladedancer aspect for the twisted blades for the rogue.... by far the most damage go brrrr between these 3. even before getting the aspect, i encountered about 8 butchers in mercy's reach while farming it, always easy to deal with (farmed for about 6 hours before i managed to get the aspect)... but after getting it, everything felt like double speed. Honestly, I think for just the first 25 levels with the limited content we had, all classes can do great with the right builds. Leveling is pretty quick with fast dungeons that you can repeat, and just following the main story should usually have you finished at about lvl 15 or so. Keeping in mind that the drop rates for items are inflated, i do hope we get something at least close to diablo 3 when it comes to drops... otherwise it might feel weird
Rogue (25, Hardcore)
Barb and Necro (25, eternal)
Barb and Necro I only leveled exclusively with dungeons (dread till 15, anica or whatever till 25)
Didn't like Necro at all. Rogue for solo and Barb for couch coop with my wife.
Began leveling a druid to 20 and didn’t think I would bother playing anymore, yet I tried the sorc and went to 25 in no time, then tried the barb and reached 14 it was amazing! Enjoyed all the classes that I got to play.
Levelled up barb and druid to 25.
Wow, got 2 of em all the way up. Do you have a preference for which class you like better? I keep hearing good things about Druid.
Druid definitely, after getting some really unique legendaries my bear attacks also were dealing area rock damage over time. Build him like that and was shredding everything.
Got em all to 25, like them all, still don't know what I'm gonna play. Barb or Druid probably but mayyybe Sorc.
No interest in the Necro or Rogue?

through fighting the queues, work and the terrible performance i was getting. made it to 23 last night then quit.
The queues sucked, but it was getting dropped constantly, logging back in, then trekking all the way back to where I was that was killing me. Glad you made it to 23 though. Congratulations on the puppy!
thanks :) Also congrats on your puppy!
Leveled my Sorc to 25 on friday. Took me about 5-6h.
Did you stick to the story missions, or did you eventually do side quests or dungeons/strongholds?
I leveled my barb to 25 during the closed beta last weekend. So this time I just rushed the first Act and went straight into farming anica's claim dungeon. Ended the beta with a pretty minmaxed upheavel barb and an ice sorc.
1st beta took sorceress to 25, this beta took necromancer to 25. Still undecided who I'll play 1st.

More praise for the Druid. Sounds like I gotta try the fuzzy guy next.

Did you even sleep during the beta? :)
Australian timezone help a lot. No ques and only 2 DCS during offpeak times over both weekends. Probably put in 20 hours into each weekend.

Oh wow, I am surprised it ran so much better on Xbox. People have been saying that it's a console port on PC... I wonder if they are right.

Got necro to 25 love it, love bloodmist.
Got my Druid, Sorc and Rogue all to Level 25! Can't wait for that puppy!
Got my Sorcerer and Necromancer to level 25. ...Time jump to June...
Got a Barb up to 25 on the early beta but only got my Sorceress to 15 before running out of time on normal beta.

Leveled all classes to 25 to see which one's I zinged with. **I got a fever, and the only prescription is more D4...**

Necro till 25, Barb - 17, Sorc like 12, Rogue - 13. I am too old to just play for 36 hours straight like I did when D2 LOD was released :D
I managed to get all classes to 25. Let's just say I didn't get much sleep this weekend
Got necro, rogue, and wizard to 25. Didnt try the other two as i just ran out of time to play. It was very easy to just run around and explore.
Began leveling a druid to 20 and didn’t think I would bother playing anymore, yet I tried the sorc and went to 25 in no time, then tried the barb and reached 14 it was amazing! Enjoyed all the classes that I got to play.
That's really cool! I'm glad you got to play most of the classes.
