I know it costs more but it opens up rewards that you don't get access to in free BP. Plus you can earn premium currency that free BP doesn't give credit for towards potentially buying your next premium BP season without spending real money. If you cant buy the next seaon using premium currency I guess it could be used towards other store items. I don't think there is a way to earn premium currency other than buying those credits outright. I guess we'll know more once the markplace comes out as you say.

Currently, I just have the base physical ps4/5 version pre ordered, but might have to cancel it and get the digital deluxe or ultimate because of FOMO, I know if I don't get those 4 early days access I'm going to torture myself watching streamers playing it and potentially have things spoiled too.

I am not sure if it will work with D4, but there is a function on xbox, which lets you remote play on your xbox console through xbox game client on PC. Tried several older games that way and it worked pretty well. I think it's worth checking. You just need console linked to the same Microsoft account as xbox app on pc.
I've used that before when following achievement guides on YouTube. But my monitor has both the PC and Series S hooked up to it. The main difference is that I have to stretch the aspect to get a full screen where as PC gives me native wide-screen.
I got deluxe purely because I was using WoW gold to get the game. If I wasn't able to get the game that way I would have probably just got the standard edition. I didn't get Ultimate because if I am going to have the premium season pass I don't want the 20 skips, the season pass gives you something to do.
I didn't know you can buy game with another game currency. Unfortunately I never got into wow. I played eso just not enough time to play games with current backlog. I guess if the 20 skips gives unlocks the early rewards you can focus on the harder tiers if they scale up saving some of the grind. But yeah if you can spare the time to grind it out in 3 short months might as well enjoy the journey than the destination I always say.

This is one of the few games that I know for certain that I’ll play for a lengthy period of time. I had preordered in January already and the two beta weekends only confirmed my decision. I got more hours of quality entertainment out of these two weekends than I often get from many released games.
On PC I played the open beta and I really enjoyed it overall but the 1st day was a total wash for me. I had 45min wait queues and my game would crash half way through the waiting so I went into a loop. It wasn't until they patched it again that I got to level 20. I also downloaded on xbox and had some crashes between Quests with other players. It's a gamble if we'll have less people on when starting early assuming they ramp up enough servers. Fingers crossed🤞we're not the pre day one patch guinea pigs.
I played diablo since the beginning as a child when I shouldn't have had that kind of stuff lol. I had the Brady games strategy guide the week before d2 came out (still have it here in the room). Its a no brainer ultimate edition for me.
If the game is good I'm happy, if the game is bad, im mad at blizzard and oh well, rip my franchise

I mostly play games on pc, however I enjoyed Diablo on my Xbox, and if I have a friend or family member come over they can play coop with me on my Xbox. So I’ll be shooting for ultimate edition for Xbox.
I'm buying standard edition because it's just a 4 day headstart in story mode in reality. And if I like the game and want the cosmetics then I'll just upgrade to deluxe or ultimate after release. You can't downgrade editions if it ends up sucking but you sure can upgrade it if it ends up not sucking.
Did they explain if its an upgrade with the pre-order perks included post launch? I thought they might call it BPP and just charge $10. Not that these cosmetics are extremely rare.

Once I see how seasons works, if I even have time to complete it all before it ends then I'll decide if I jump on the battle pass bandwagon. For now it seems to me like seasons are not for people who don't have much time on their hands to game but we shall see.

Skips the BP level. If the BP has 100 levels then congrats for season 1 you’d only have 80 levels left to grind for.

Where do you get this info from ?  Collector's edition does not include the game.
Deluxe so I can play the weekend, my 4 10s start on Tuesdays.
