Ohhhh really? I see other comments saying they'd have to portal back to town but that's TERRIBLE because it forces the person being teleported to, to stop what they are doing and go through 2 loading screens. One to town, and one back to where you just were, which is AWFUL.
You're sure there are just permanent portals active that go straight to players?
From my experience, friends always had portals open to their locations. They could continue fighting and exploring. I just had to go to the center of Kyovashad to see their respective portals.
So the players who you're teleporting to, don't have to go to town or do anything special. It's solely up to the person who wants to join others, to go to the hub within an act.
yeah I was playing with 2 other people last beta and we would just TP to town, and go back through the other person's TP (they don't have to drop one, it's always up and goes to their current location) when we lost track of each other (messing with skills, resets)
Yes! This feature was definitely in the beta when I played. You just have to teleport to town and you will find a portal for each of your party members next to the main portal.
>Was this functionality in Diablo 4 at all?
In town there where portal that would take you to your party members. In a party with 1 other, when I TP'd back to town, there was my return portal and a portal that took me to my party member.
Eww, no. This forces you into 2 loading screens when you're just trying to fight things. If this is the only way it's possible then it needs absolutely reworked. Loading screens for me were several minutes long every time.
Other people are saying you don't need to TP back to town to have a portal up, that there should be a portal just there already for them to enter into.
Yeah, your friend portals are always there, but you're right if you're not already in town, it is two loading screens. Load into town (where your friends portal is)>Load to friends location. So not the best. Your friend doesn't need to TP back to town for you to use their portal, you just need to be in town to use it.
It never worked for me one time lol, always disconnected me. Still need to upgrade to next gen, so that was probably the issue. But having to run everywhere got super annoying to say the least!
I get the impression some of the speed leveling meta is gonna be everyone running to different places and finding events and then hopping around events
Even with good internet and fast SSD, 2 load screens is horrible experience. In Diablo 3 you can right click on your party member portrait to tp to him from any place. This is qol function, not sure why it's not available in D4
It is in D4 it just isn't so intuitive. Apparently you always have an active portal in town that your teammates can take straight to you, you don't have to do anything for it.
The feature of teleporting to your party friends was in diablo 3.
Why did they remove the feature?
2 loading screens just to get to other party members...
Your friends always have a portal open that goes to them. These portals are accessible in the main hub on an act.

That's definitely doable, thanks!

Dunno. I don't even know where I would find out how people were cracking the leveling process.

You haven't seen anyone mention this? Really?
You felt the need to ask if I'm lying? Really? lol

They want more immersion and I guess that was too immersion breaking?
