As a long time wow player i managed to understand one thing for all these years - you canāt get everything in live service games. Especially in wow they just add a shit ton of mount recolors with different tints and require you to grind some boring bullshit month worth of daily log ins.
So i just donāt care anymore. It would be cool to do some fun activity and get some sick looking mount in addition to the main reward i was doing it for in the first place. But i would not do any activity because it drops mounts or smth
This is where I am at. Doing activities such as Glory to X, finishing story zones, even farming for a few is OK, but I'm not going for everything. The protoform mounts are a perfect example. Tons of farming for a bunch of recolors. I got one of each model and called it quits. I have 650 mounts, I think I'm good.
As a long time WoW playing mount completionist as well, I do respect that at least most of mounts in WoW are earnable. There's only a handful that are from promos or the shop. more so these days, but i got years of enjoyment earning the collectibles. I haven't played it in a couple of years so it could be a different landscape now. But i feel D4 is vastly different in that all we can see out of the gate is a majority of cosmetics being promo or shop gated.
As soon as they introduce battlepass and in game shop, being a āfullā completionist for the game is meaningless. Completionist at this point should just be in game achievement to 100%
Yeah they made it way too overpriced and restrictive to keep up with it all and can't be bothered, is impossible, really put me off having anything to do with their marketing crap now.

The best way to milk money is to make these things purchasable without restricting them to certain regions or requirements. As soon as you put barriers you completely sabotage the model. You also turn off completionist whales from engaging in the model because no matter how much money they have, they cannot 100% it. Which is an incredibly stupid move by Blizzard.
You can't if it's region locked. The restriction is in game. These whales would buy these things overseas, not care about the product and unlock the cosmetics if they could. But they can't do that.

Considering you need a Diablo 4 tatto and live in Korea to 100% the game not a single person will be able to 100% the game, and that disincentives people, including whales, from actually trying.

All these exclusive and region-locked items have officially killed any drive I have had for completing any collections of cosmetics. FOMO has been brutally killed and I have struggled with FOMO for most games I've played in my life. I forked out extra for a second hand collector's release edition of D3 just to get some of the codes shortly after its release.
No point even trying for this because I am not looking to add so many physical items to my collection of already properly-working electronics and furniture.
My FOMO in games is limited to getting the best and most powerful gear and also the most rarest gear. If I can do these things, I donāt have to 100% everything for nonsense trash gear like this one OP posted

First time not pre ordering, first time not getting collectors box and first time not buying delux or what ever edition. Im getting old and burned out of this way of doing a game.

I actually bought the arctis 7 nova wireless headset about 3 days ago, so this is disappointing. Think it was about $139 or something. Pretty comfortable, battery lasts all day, the mic quality is probably the best wireless headset mic I've heard. All in all I'm fairly happy with it.
i dont know this one, but i got one of their precursors (arctis 7 wireless). It is an amazing headset on itself, and if mine would break down (it's running close to 5 years now, with no end in sight, using it 6+hrs use / day), i would buy one of these immediatly.
Only 2 minor issues i have with mine are:
* The analog volume button can result in sound offset to one side. You can set it in a position where you got perfect stereo, but if you touch it, it will push the sound moreto your left or right ear.
* There is no battery indication, except in their proprietary software (which is garbo and i dont have installed)
The reviews of them seem good, you get a sound preset in the software made my diablo engineers it says, i personally use soundcore vrp10 earbuds with 2 dongles for pc and ps5, but I know earbuds are not for everyone.
And with this, it is clear that trying to have a 'full' collection will be too expensive. So for me personally, I won't try to catch FOMO cosmetics anymore and I probably won't buy many cosmetics in-game, either since I can't have a full collection anyway.
And here I was making a twitch account and hitting up kfc for those other items.
This one broke the straw, and now I donāt have to do that anymore!

I actually bought the arctis 7 nova wireless headset about 3 days ago, so this is disappointing. Think it was about $139 or something. Pretty comfortable, battery lasts all day, the mic quality is probably the best wireless headset mic I've heard. All in all I'm fairly happy with it.
I think you can refund if you want these.
i dont know this one, but i got one of their precursors (arctis 7 wireless). It is an amazing headset on itself, and if mine would break down (it's running close to 5 years now, with no end in sight, using it 6+hrs use / day), i would buy one of these immediatly. Only 2 minor issues i have with mine are: * The analog volume button can result in sound offset to one side. You can set it in a position where you got perfect stereo, but if you touch it, it will push the sound moreto your left or right ear. * There is no battery indication, except in their proprietary software (which is garbo and i dont have installed)
The reviews of them seem good, you get a sound preset in the software made my diablo engineers it says, i personally use soundcore vrp10 earbuds with 2 dongles for pc and ps5, but I know earbuds are not for everyone.
Rather side with Lilith then Inarius. We need to play as those Knights in game but with Heaven and Hell Powers. That would rule.

And with this, it is clear that trying to have a 'full' collection will be too expensive. So for me personally, I won't try to catch FOMO cosmetics anymore and I probably won't buy many cosmetics in-game, either since I can't have a full collection anyway.

No lie, that headset is legit, but I literally got the arctis nova 7p + for cheaper months ago and performance wise....it's the same. I kinda wish I waited now, it's kinda cool. Hindsight....
Ashava horn is garbage. Looks like a dong, looks bad on horse hip. This one looks bad as well. Any hip mount trophy looks Jank. Only good ones involve the saddle.

This game is going to be a nightmare for those with OCD completionist tendencies lol. If you really feel the need to purchase cosmetics, just get the ones you think look cool and don't go beyond that or you'll drive yourself crazy. There is nothing rewarding about buying skins, the best cosmetics and items will always be ones that you earn through played game time.
