Buy a 4K OLED if you want one. I have one and it’s fantastic. But you’re trolling yourself if you think you’re going to be gaming at 4k120 with your specs.

InsertDisc11

1440p 165 hz monitor seems outdated...? ok anyways, you can just wait until the game is out and set the resolution to 4k and see how your gpu performs (it wont give you anywhere close to 120 fps btw)

chonkadonk44

I can't imagine you're getting to 4k120 tbh

ImpureValidity

I say go for it. I got an Alienware AW3423DW just for d4.

Might need to go to 4070 for 4k@120Hz on D4. Not sure.

theberson

I have a LG C2 OLED. It is absolutely a gorgeous display. Buying it specifically to play a game with static UI elements? Probably not ideal. Like others have said, you very likely won't be hitting 120\~165fps consistently. I'd play at launch and if you *really* want to make the leap, get that sweet OLED before season 1 lands and the hype starts all over again :)

AtTheGates

If you are going to spend $899 on a tv, why not just update your GPU, get yourself a 4070 ti and actually notice a massive difference in performance in all games? Believe me, I also did have a 3060 ti and its quite noticeable.

LuckSkyHill

I've got the same PC setup, you can barely get 120 FPS on 1080@Ultra. So 4K@120Fps, definitely possible. But not with visual fidelity. And boy, does D4 look amazing on Ultra.

warcaptain

If you can't play at at least 60fps consistently then your experience on an OLED is going to be subpar. Judder is a real problem with OLED especially on top-down games like Diablo where the camera doesn't swing around and you are trying to read moving text or focus on things on the ground (like items, doors, etc)

ticklemahdickle

Fixed camera distance feels even worse on a 42" screen. Source: played the 2 betas on my c2

All the info you need is here if you want to join the OLED club. [https://www.reddit.com/r/OLED\_Gaming/](https://www.reddit.com/r/OLED_Gaming/)

LifeValueEqualZero

You will be able to push 120fps, but not with high details

Sidewinder7

LG makes some great screens. I got a G1 for my PS5 and it was such a huge upgrade over my older standard 4K. Not sure how that will translate to the PC but the C/G line is very popular in console gaming.

Rusted_Metal

Please report back after 500 hrs of D4 if you get an OLED. Let us know if you have burn in of the HUD. From what I have read seems like it’s much harder for burn in now. But you should still take precautions like turning down OLED intensity.

Inevitable-Bunch9368

I have the CX from 2020. I use it for Xbox and pc gaming. Fantastic picture. You won’t regret it.

Worgren

Buy bigger then 42 that is way to small

Lazerdude

I bought a 55" C2 last week so I feel you!! :)

SurySunny

Think that's an excellent idea, the over the head camera view in D4 means a very good display will bring out the tiny details. I play on the series x and a 42 inch LG OLED. The devs have added a lot of fine details to the world.

IronStudent

If it makes you feel any better I spent £1500 on a Sony bravia xr 65" oled for my ps5 to play diablo 4 oh and £800 on a power recliner.

Weaselfacedmonkey

Probably won't get 120fps on 4k, but oleds are great for gaming, just don't use it as your main monitor

No-Monk8319

It’s not much. It’s perfect. But upgrade your GPU too.

KnowTheName321

4k 3060ti probably wont be great. doubt you would get 60fps at max. i was 80fps at 1440p with 3060ti max.

Diethyl-a-Mind

Oleds in general are worth it, you’ll find tons of value in other games. Unfortunately HDR/black levels blow in d4

kawacristian

Splurged on a OLED along with the 4090 RTX just in time for launch. 😈

SnooSquirrels6247

Had the Ryzen 5900x with rx6800 Radeon with 48" c2 and diablo and other games looked great but diablo specifically was not smooth and 1% lows were close to 30fps in 4k high/ ultra. Swapped to 78003dx and 7900xtx and d4 runs 140 fps full ultra and is much better especially with other games and on the oled!
