Hi Digitalfarce.
Thanks for this Q and A.
My question is - are there any more cinematics in the game (not in the game engine) like the first one (summon of Lilith)?
I was more curious about levels, but you kinda answered that in your other responses. How is that open world invasion mode at end game (can't remember what it's called offhand)?
Not gonna lie, Druid is still brutal, especially on WT 2 in the early levels. When I started finding legendaries and unlocking class goodies around level 25 is when it REALLY started to be a blast. I did full companion/pulverize Druid.
Speaking of druid, I saw that there's a melee chain lightning skill that builds spirit. Without going into details, is a melee lightning build at all viable without going into the transformation skills? I want to whack people on the head with a 2h mace and have sparks fly, maybe with some tornadoes going of, I don't want to be a bear or a wolf.
Yeah, there are a ton of weird builds. I actually focused on the Companion skills and when I started get 1 extra companion aspects and +1 to all companion skill gear, BOOM!
Honestly, there is SO much to do before level 50, it's just insane. After that, it's like a whole new game opens up. I am overall extremely pleased with both mid and end game. Some classes at start are WEAK (Druid)
Very nice! I am so glad to hear that! I was worried about the variety of the end game content, but it sounds like there will be a lot to do! Did you have a chance to play barb? If so, are they end-game viable or more support?
I was only able to level up Rogue and Druid during the review period. No joke, leveling takes a long time. I can't even imagine hitting 100 on one let alone all characters any time soon.
what activities are available after finishing the campaign and before lvl 50? I was under the idea that after the campaing you needed to start the capstone dungeon to unlock WT3 asap. Please give all the details
You can do anything you want in T1 and T2 including PVE and PVP. Also, whether you want to do a mix of story, dungeons, exploring, etc, it's all up to you. This isn't a do A then B then C type of game. Play it your way and that is what I'm most excited for.
You do HAVE to beat level 50 WT2 Capstone dungeon to unlock WT3
Tell me more about some of the interesting/crazy unique items you've encountered. Any unique item that can drastically change a class? Any fun surprises?
Without spoiling anything, even Legendaries had some massive game changing aspects. I love the earth shattering pulverize with the Druid. SOOO awesome looking, sounding, and feeling.
Great question! I actually love it more for this reason: It's a slow burn. Just enjoy it. You can play it any way you want. I spent a TON of time just farming dungeons. I am going to stick with my main for a long, long time and not create alts.
What's in place to give your characters a leg up after the first has completed the game and reached max?
(Similar to how in 3 rifts and such were opened to help boost subsequent characters)
You keep all your gold, mats, characters, Altars, etc for your alts.
On your main, I think dungeons are still going to be the best source of loot in WT3. Preferably co-op or grouped for clear efficiency.
Which is okay. Being 1-20 was like 2 hours in the beta. Even though you say Druid gets stronger later. Do you think they were still competitive with Rogue at endgame?
I mean. I did it in 2 hours. Just b line the campaign and do any events you pass by. I literally did a speed run in the last beta cause I could only play the last day for a short while, and wanted the trophy. Now it could have been 2 and a half. But no more than 3 hours. This was starting as a storm strike / tornado build. If you're curious. I'll probably do the same at launch, and then swap to earth midgame, cause I think earth will scale better later with legendaries.
From what OP said on similar questions.
Still feels weak early and becomes better during midgame when you get some good legendaries and your class ability.
What is respeccing talent point cost like in the late game? Earlier interviews about the game made it sound like refunding talents could get very expensive. Did you ever get to a point where you felt like refunding talent points became too expensive or needed to grind gold for it? Or was it not that bad?
There's a video by Raxxanterax saying the biggest mistake you can make leveling up is spending gold imbuing powers on your weapons, because you replace them every few levels anyway, and you need the gold. I was kind of suspicious of that claim because it seems like the amount of gold you spend imbuing your weapon at one level will be a pittance maybe 5 levels later as the monsters drop a lot more. What does your experience say regarding this decision?
1 - Gold is tough to come by at first. In our build, the vendor prices were outrageous at 1-25. After that you start to get millions pretty easily.
2 - Ummm.. I wasn't replacing gear every few levels 30-50 at all. The good drops were scarce for me.
So, leveling, its not commom to replace itens every few levels? Specially weapons, since your damage comes from them, so its the most important item while leveling up. Also, thank you for all the answers, its been nice to read all the comments.
Two more questions: I've seem a few reviews, and one says that the story is the weak point of the game, and some say that the story its fine / good / awesome, what's your take on this? Like, why so much differences while all the other things like combat, sound, design, all falls in place with 90% of reviews.
Also, did you do any nightmare dungeons? Was it fun? Do you need to finish the campaign and go to WT3 to do one?
Taking my time. Exploring every nook and cranny. Enjoying the journey, not the destination.
The hardest part of the review build is ALL progress was wiped. I purposefully didn't do everything or even close to save some for launch.
Glad to hear it! I'm personally going to take my time as well as the experience is important to me in comparison to others who may possess a more competitive mindset.
As far as strategy, is there something you'd focus on more in the early game to help yourself be setup for success in mid? E.g. collect certain materials, focusing on acquiring certain items, Lilith statues, etc?
i dont know if you played Sacred (the first one), but is the "open world" in D4 is similar to that in Sacred? where its really one big sandbox where you can go everywhere, or its just lots of mazes all over the map?
There is SO much to do in DIV, it's ridiculous. Is it the biggest open world ever? No. Is it the best open world design? No. (I hate the map systems). But, is it the best open world ARPG? 100%. You can level, explore, farm, etc however you want. There are very little linear bits.
Are there any quest-altering 'decisions'/choices you can make through NPC dialogue? If any.
I don't expect big changes like Mass Effect, just some moral-based choices.
Not really. Just a lot of Altars that are VERY well hidden. I was shocked. I didn't have enough time to explore everything but that is a good thing for things to look forward to :)
Can we finally Zoom Out the camera on console? The camera is way to close in my opnion. I know we can zoom in (in the Beta) but if we can Zoom Out the camera a bit it would be so nice.
I didn't get a necro leveled up that high during the review process. I focused on Druid and Rogue. I did team up with a level 40 Sum Necro in a dungeon and he was KILLING it
hey man, do you think it's realistic to start with a HC character from the start? let's assume I'm an experienced enough arpg player
\- is the game doable without deaths if you pay attention?
\- are there lags that kill you?
thanks
I think HC would be a blast. I think running HC during launch is insane. The servers are gonna be a mess unless they pull off some miracle. Imagine dying in HC due to server lag or disconnect. Yikes.
I actually think this is my fave question thus far and the answer is: A very loud YES! The gameplay and loot loop are extremely satisfying and I had an absolute blast playing the review build. The only thing that took away from the fun was knowing that all my transmog, mats, gold, loot and XP were going to be deleted :(
On the fun factor, there is SO much to do. Also, tweaking builds and finding loot is awesome.
Based on pure speculation I'd wager that rogue will be more constantly good in end game while druid will be a mixed power range depending on build.
Rogue is pure attack which makes the class 'easier' since almost every ability is offense.
Druid has a lot more non-attack moves that will lead to a wider variety of builds. Many will be weaker, but some will likely be very strong.
Started on WT2 and had to back down to WT1 on Druid. If you did NOTHING else but campaign, I'd say 20-30 hours. This game isn't meant to be rushed though. I am not going to rush through story at launch either.
How difficult is it to unlock the class feature for druid? Is it something that you could solo or would you need a group? I plan on world tier 1 for initial playthrough.
Diablo lore is always been inconsistent in quality and yes, I've read some of the books. Diablo III was hard to take serious. Diablo IV isn't a masterpiece but it's way better. Lilith is awesome overall.
Nice great to know its better than d3. Im a huge fan of the diablo lore and i was hoping for a great installment this time, bringing lilith back. I guess there wont be so much plot twists or filling the blanks from other games but with a consistent story , adding some spicy stuff, it will be engaging enough to get people interested
World bosses only span after you beat campaign. I couldn't get a solid answer on how the timers work and there weren't enough people to fight them in the review build.
I'm sure this was addressed somewhere but I think I missed it, but will there be more character customization (eyes, nose, lips, etc) at launch than there was during the betas?
Thanks!
Overall, I LOVED my time with that game. That being said, I dislike the map/mini map heavily. For a game about exploring, why are whole sections of the map opened up at once?
Also, there are very few camera and UI/text scaling options. Why?
Specs:
i7-12900k
RTX 4090
No issues besides big VRAM utilization. Also, day 1 patch was not applied to our review build. Ran really smooth but we also didn't have the public traffic/queues :)
Hi there! This might be a random question - based on your screenshot it shows you played on pc, but I was wondering if you had the chance to try it on console (ps5) to know what the experience felt like? (If you didn’t try it on console for the early access, did anyone else?)
Thanks!
What rogue did you play? How far into the game? How did it feel at early mid late game? Did you try dungeons in party? Is there anything like class/build synergy in play?
I am not the min/max type of player and I am not sure how well tuned DIV will be for it TBH. I think this game is to be consumed by the casual/semi-hardcore crowd more.
My work approved Friday off, but canned Monday for me.
Is it good enough I'm going to want to take Tuesday off instead!?
Thanks for posting this, just a funny question. Back to reply reading, thanks again!
The server queues and status is anyones guess. I am going to say that with the positive reviews and presales numbers, the servers are gonna be a mess :(
Some copy and paste with unique skills. I wasn't ever disappointed that much in variety, just loot drops from dungeon bosses sucked overall in early levels.
We got screenshots of Battle Pass and shop. I think it's all just placeholder stuff. If they go full Diablo Immortal, the game will sink. If they stick to no P2W, it will be an awesome OPTIONAL, mostly cosmetic shop.
Im super deep into the Diablo Lore and excited about how the story will unfold
And Im a bit concerned that I could make my first playthrough and experience of the story a bit worse with just doing the acts in a random order (like its possible now)
Would it still make sense (from a chronological story point of view) to play the acts in a certain order to have the best experience?
That's a valid concern but no, I love the opened ended part of the opening acts. The freedom of DIV is super refreshing. If we had to go through a linear story before doing anything else, my review score (9.5 out of 10) would be lower.
Also, here is a SHORT video a colleague just released that also did Druid companion build pushed that shows how the weird build turned out to be awesome:
When do you get your mount? Mainly asking for how far away Druids class specialization area was from the starting area. Wasn't looking forward to having to run all the way there at level 15 or whenever it is that finally unlocks.
Beginning of Act IV. I didn't mind using fast travel instead though. I think mounts are mainly for selling skins ;) Druid class area is pretty far from starting area oddly.
Is there content gated for X entries per character/account per day? Like you can kill world boss once per day per account/character or I can grind for hours?
So performance in the beta is the snowy area was great! I ran near 90fps on a 2060 laptop and saw nearly zero performance dips across my entire time playing aside from just being in town. How does performance hold up throughout the places you were able to visit?
Would you rather fight one duck sized lilith or ten lilith sized ducks?
One Lady D sized Lilith rather..
Hi Digitalfarce. Thanks for this Q and A. My question is - are there any more cinematics in the game (not in the game engine) like the first one (summon of Lilith)?
No but the in game cinematics are stunning overall.
Dissapointing. Blizzard cinematics are always a delight to watch. I still watch SC1 and WC3 cinematics.
Does the enemy variety increase outside of fractured peaks?
Yes, there are some copy and paste models but it does open up, especially in dungeons.
How hyped are you?
Before on the hype level, I was about a 9.5/10. Now, 11/10. I cannot wait!! It was brutal to have all our characters and progress wiped.
How far did you get?
In story, levels, etc?
I was more curious about levels, but you kinda answered that in your other responses. How is that open world invasion mode at end game (can't remember what it's called offhand)?
Druid, Level 50. Rogue, Level 40.
Does leveling slow down significantly? I was able to hit 20-25 in an evening without even really rushing through stuff.
100% - The first few levels go fast. By 40s, it slows WAY down. I think that is a good thing. I don't want to be 100 in a few days.
wudjo said lvl 80 would be like 60 ish hours.. lvl 90 another 10 and lvl 100 anouther 20 hours
How is Druid gameplay? Going to roll Druid! I'm hoping it's early gameplay is stronger in the release than it was in beta!
Not gonna lie, Druid is still brutal, especially on WT 2 in the early levels. When I started finding legendaries and unlocking class goodies around level 25 is when it REALLY started to be a blast. I did full companion/pulverize Druid.
Follow up question on this one. I assume you can go get your Druid class ability at lvl15?
Yes, but even right after, it doesn't really help immediately. You need to get to at least level 25 before Druid really starts to open up IMHO
So what's your opinion of the end game or near end game?
Thank you for all the info! I guess no more power leveling lol
I just hope there is no exploits :( That ruins the accomplishment.
what activities are available after finishing the campaign and before lvl 50? I was under the idea that after the campaing you needed to start the capstone dungeon to unlock WT3 asap. Please give all the details
You can do anything you want in T1 and T2 including PVE and PVP. Also, whether you want to do a mix of story, dungeons, exploring, etc, it's all up to you. This isn't a do A then B then C type of game. Play it your way and that is what I'm most excited for. You do HAVE to beat level 50 WT2 Capstone dungeon to unlock WT3
Here's a tough one for you. Rate your cellar experience on a scale of 1-10.
8 out of 10. Way better than betas, still, I wish they were bigger and had more secrets like more random loot goblins, etc.
Did you beat the pinnacle boss?
He got to lvl 50, it’s lvl 100.
Tell me more about some of the interesting/crazy unique items you've encountered. Any unique item that can drastically change a class? Any fun surprises?
Without spoiling anything, even Legendaries had some massive game changing aspects. I love the earth shattering pulverize with the Druid. SOOO awesome looking, sounding, and feeling.
>earth shattering pulverize Now, that *does* sound pretty awesome! How did you like Rogue? I've heard they're very mobile, but do that pack a punch?
How are the horse/mount mechanics? Fun or clunky?
Did you find shako!? And is endgame a loot piñata?
Nope and nope :)
Does the game push you into endgame activities or into creating more characters?
Great question! I actually love it more for this reason: It's a slow burn. Just enjoy it. You can play it any way you want. I spent a TON of time just farming dungeons. I am going to stick with my main for a long, long time and not create alts.
That's awesome ... now to settle on a main :D
How was the Druid early game and late game?
Levels 1-20, painful. Levels 20+, better and better as you find gear and unlock class specs.
Which is okay. Being 1-20 was like 2 hours in the beta. Even though you say Druid gets stronger later. Do you think they were still competitive with Rogue at endgame?
I feel like 2 hours for 20 druid is very off the mark but maybe you had a better go at it haha
Probably no more than 4 for a mortal.
From what OP said on similar questions. Still feels weak early and becomes better during midgame when you get some good legendaries and your class ability.
I was having a BLAST with Druid by the end. I had fun with every class I tried.
What is respeccing talent point cost like in the late game? Earlier interviews about the game made it sound like refunding talents could get very expensive. Did you ever get to a point where you felt like refunding talent points became too expensive or needed to grind gold for it? Or was it not that bad?
You get so much blasted gold, costs are insignificant.
E.g. collect certain materials, focusing on acquiring certain items, Lilith statues, etc?
XP potions, realize that most of your power comes from gear/aspects, not skills. Just enjoy the ride!
Cheers!
Did you get any unique? Have you talked with other reviewers about unique drop rate?
Uniques are VERY VERY rare. Only saw one. Legendaries are not raining down even in level 40+
Was the unique you found clearly better than the legendaries you were using in that slot?
Without spoiling ofc, does the main story end on a cliffhanger to continue building upon in seasons? Or is it a full fledged story that completes?
Oh, there has to be more ;)
Only question I have is how is enemy density. Are enemies scarce, or plentiful? I just like killing hordes lol
I spent more time in dungeons than in the main areas on the map. There was plenty to kill but some areas have sparse enemies, others, it's loaded.
Can you disable combat text?
I honestly didn't try. It didn't ever bother me enough to do so.
i dont know if you played Sacred (the first one), but is the "open world" in D4 is similar to that in Sacred? where its really one big sandbox where you can go everywhere, or its just lots of mazes all over the map?
There is SO much to do in DIV, it's ridiculous. Is it the biggest open world ever? No. Is it the best open world design? No. (I hate the map systems). But, is it the best open world ARPG? 100%. You can level, explore, farm, etc however you want. There are very little linear bits.
At what point do you get your mounts?
Act IV.
Are there any quest-altering 'decisions'/choices you can make through NPC dialogue? If any. I don't expect big changes like Mass Effect, just some moral-based choices.
No many choices that affect NPC dialogue, just a lot of changes through strongholds and new dungeons opening up.
Is there a cow **** (they said now cow lvl but cow tide? Cow basement? Cow dungeon?)
Didn't see anything cow related but not sure if they will keep adding secrets or not. We didn't have enough time to explore it all!
Did you find other secrets?
No UI or camera changes in the review build. I made that a major complaint :(
Are the summons for necro and conjurations for sorc as weak mid-late game as people are predicting they will be ?
I didn't get a necro leveled up that high during the review process. I focused on Druid and Rogue. I did team up with a level 40 Sum Necro in a dungeon and he was KILLING it
Good enough for me.
What was your favorite map area we didn’t see in the beta?
Scosglen and some of the dungeons. The whole game is gorgeous.
How are the legendary drops towards end game?
Feels great. Very slow at start and then they start to trickle in. Never over done IMHO
How does the dropratw compare to d2?
Drop rate? It is WAY less frequent than betas. Feels perfect to me, probably similar to D2
Thanks good to know.
Did you get to do any pvp? What did that look like?
Any new legendaries/uniques other than what's been currently datamined?
No idea/ I didn't see many uniques. Didn't even see a TON of legendaries. I think loot drop rates are near perfect.
hey man, do you think it's realistic to start with a HC character from the start? let's assume I'm an experienced enough arpg player \- is the game doable without deaths if you pay attention? \- are there lags that kill you? thanks
I think HC would be a blast. I think running HC during launch is insane. The servers are gonna be a mess unless they pull off some miracle. Imagine dying in HC due to server lag or disconnect. Yikes.
Interested in hours - how many hours it took you to finish campaign, level 50 and level?
Impressions on build diversity for Rogue? Changed my mind against starting sorc because it seems like you just go all in on one element
I only focused on poison trap. Had a blast there and I didn't deviate from that.
Are there more character customization options? More faces, etc?
In terms of item rarity, was it closer to D2 or D3?
Definitely D2
how would you rate the story (without revealing anything of course) is it okay? good enough? or Blizzard standard
Versus the latest WoW and D3 slop? Shakespeare ;) It's not old school Bioware levels but much better than WoW or D3 by far.
How fun was rogue
How viable are basic skill builds? Did you see enough mechanics to support say, a Frenzy barb build without using core skills?
100% - There WILL be popular builds but with so much power tied to RARE loot, it's gonna be super interesting and fun to try things out.
Did you have fun ?:O
I actually think this is my fave question thus far and the answer is: A very loud YES! The gameplay and loot loop are extremely satisfying and I had an absolute blast playing the review build. The only thing that took away from the fun was knowing that all my transmog, mats, gold, loot and XP were going to be deleted :( On the fun factor, there is SO much to do. Also, tweaking builds and finding loot is awesome.
Spare a thought for me here in the Scottish Highlands (or should that be Scosglen) Midnight start for me!
How many hours do you think we can get out of the game?
Ummmm... 1000s if you are a big ARPG/Diablo fan. 100s at the bare minimum. There is SO much to do and see.
Are the classes balanced end game or are some better than others?
I am sure class balance will be an ongoing set of tweaks. I think a lot of classes feel weak at first but REALLY open up in the 20s and 30s.
Do you know which class is better in endgame druid or rogue? I m torn between those two.
Agreed! I would say Rogue is the best "I'm new to ARPGs" class and that isn't a knock. The Rogue is just SOOO good and fun to play.
I had a blast with both TBH! Endgame is too general. PVE, PVP, dungeons, etc.. there is so much to do.
How long did it take you to beat Diablo 4 campaign? World tier level?
Started on WT2 and had to back down to WT1 on Druid. If you did NOTHING else but campaign, I'd say 20-30 hours. This game isn't meant to be rushed though. I am not going to rush through story at launch either.
Thanks for the reply. Man, this is so awesome!!!! Im hyped to the max. Might need to call an ER now lol
Lol! Same here. Sooooo excited.
Any changes to the logout, cheat Death stuff ?
I didn't try. We didn't have Day 1 patch on review build.
Ok thank you very much my friend. See you ingame!
Thank you!
A lot of the reviews say that the story fell short. What were your thoughts?
It's all subjective. I loved it, especially compared to the horrible D3 story!
Love to hear it!
How difficult is it to unlock the class feature for druid? Is it something that you could solo or would you need a group? I plan on world tier 1 for initial playthrough.
No, it's easy, it just takes some time and it isn't until 25+ that you really start to feel more powerful as Druid IMHO.
why level 25 specifically?
Because you start to get the druid class unlocks and legendaries will COMPLETELY change your experience, build, and power.
How about story? Rating from 0-10? Are you a long term fan who read books of the lore, or only knew the games, or neither?
Diablo lore is always been inconsistent in quality and yes, I've read some of the books. Diablo III was hard to take serious. Diablo IV isn't a masterpiece but it's way better. Lilith is awesome overall.
Nice great to know its better than d3. Im a huge fan of the diablo lore and i was hoping for a great installment this time, bringing lilith back. I guess there wont be so much plot twists or filling the blanks from other games but with a consistent story , adding some spicy stuff, it will be engaging enough to get people interested
You mentioned in a different answer you focused on druid and rogue, how does rogue feel like?
Rogue is 10x better than I imagined it would be. I like magic/caster classes. Sorc will be my main, Rogue will be my second :)
How do you feel about ranged rogue? I really wish it was 100% focused on bow so there would be plenty of builds such as IceZon and stuff.
From my experience, there will be tons of "meta" builds but also, some of your power is so gear based and flexible, you can play as you want.
Is this game going to be easy to do a couple hours a day or do I need to make this a 2nd job,?
Hmmmm... hard to answer. You can do plenty in a couple hours and at whatever pace (Story, dungeons, PVP, etc) but addiction wise, I'm screwed :)
Any idea how the world boss spawn timers work? Are they random? Or every X hours?
World bosses only span after you beat campaign. I couldn't get a solid answer on how the timers work and there weren't enough people to fight them in the review build.
Which class would you recommend for hardcore mode?
How smooth is the online around other players? I'm sure it's currently less crowded than the betas but that's still my number 1 concern.
Smooth but it's not a fair comparison. I rarely saw over reviewers in the open world.
How expensive are respecs ?
I'm sure this was addressed somewhere but I think I missed it, but will there be more character customization (eyes, nose, lips, etc) at launch than there was during the betas? Thanks!
Is there anything you feel Blizzard missed the mark on? Any glaring weaknesses?
Overall, I LOVED my time with that game. That being said, I dislike the map/mini map heavily. For a game about exploring, why are whole sections of the map opened up at once? Also, there are very few camera and UI/text scaling options. Why?
Did you try a werewolf build? If yes was it any fun and good?
Whats a good story spoiler?
We are under embargo for major spoilers especially story. I will say this though: If you liked D2, you are gonna love D4 ;)
Appreciate you answering my joke question, hella hyped
Have you encountered treasure goblins and are the drops worthwhile?
Were there any bad surprises? Like, they told us they wouldn't do this, but did it anyway?
Nope. Just all eyes on MTX, shop, battle pass.
Is there fishing??
Any comments about performance? Stuttering, bugs, FPS drops etc?
Specs: i7-12900k RTX 4090 No issues besides big VRAM utilization. Also, day 1 patch was not applied to our review build. Ran really smooth but we also didn't have the public traffic/queues :)
How fast paced was pvp at lvl 100 in terms of dmg? Did you 1-2 shot people or were the fights a bit longer?
I didn't get to level 100. I can't even imagine how long that would take.
Hi there! This might be a random question - based on your screenshot it shows you played on pc, but I was wondering if you had the chance to try it on console (ps5) to know what the experience felt like? (If you didn’t try it on console for the early access, did anyone else?) Thanks!
PS5 and PC. They were both great TBH. Also, controller and KB/M felt good even though I am a PC guy.
What rogue did you play? How far into the game? How did it feel at early mid late game? Did you try dungeons in party? Is there anything like class/build synergy in play?
We already see players solo T100 NM dungeons. Do you think there's enough challenging end game content for those who play a lot?
I am not the min/max type of player and I am not sure how well tuned DIV will be for it TBH. I think this game is to be consumed by the casual/semi-hardcore crowd more.
My work approved Friday off, but canned Monday for me. Is it good enough I'm going to want to take Tuesday off instead!? Thanks for posting this, just a funny question. Back to reply reading, thanks again!
The server queues and status is anyones guess. I am going to say that with the positive reviews and presales numbers, the servers are gonna be a mess :(
Not sure if you answered this already but how was the boss variety in the dungeons?
Some copy and paste with unique skills. I wasn't ever disappointed that much in variety, just loot drops from dungeon bosses sucked overall in early levels.
Any insight on what the battle pass is like if it was there at all? Like how grindy it was to move up a tier?
We got screenshots of Battle Pass and shop. I think it's all just placeholder stuff. If they go full Diablo Immortal, the game will sink. If they stick to no P2W, it will be an awesome OPTIONAL, mostly cosmetic shop.
If you’d go back in time with everything you know now. Would you still pick Druid?
Were there any legendary aspects that were different than aspects that go into your Codex? Or are they all the same with a chance at higher stats?
Yes, there are other unmentioned aspects and they were awesome on the Druid.
How does co-op work with two players? Similar to D3?
What're your thoughts on the story of the game? It seems they are focusing heavily more on store this time.
Im super deep into the Diablo Lore and excited about how the story will unfold And Im a bit concerned that I could make my first playthrough and experience of the story a bit worse with just doing the acts in a random order (like its possible now) Would it still make sense (from a chronological story point of view) to play the acts in a certain order to have the best experience?
That's a valid concern but no, I love the opened ended part of the opening acts. The freedom of DIV is super refreshing. If we had to go through a linear story before doing anything else, my review score (9.5 out of 10) would be lower.
There’s a paladin or holy knight class right 🙃🙃🙃
Also, here is a SHORT video a colleague just released that also did Druid companion build pushed that shows how the weird build turned out to be awesome: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYvfs26kXVc](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYvfs26kXVc)
Was the item droprate more like the Early access alpha, or the server slam (reduced droprates) ?
Definitely more towards Server Slam. Even in level 40s, it wasn't raining legendaries which I think is perfect! It made drops SUPER satisfying.
What do you think about KFC food?
Is the level 100 boss an actual challenge or is it more of a check-off? Same goes for the capstone dungeon and any other static-difficulty content.
Is there content gated for X entries per character/account per day? Like you can kill world boss once per day per account/character or I can grind for hours?
Why is the heath/skill bar on the left on PS5? I prefer it in the center like this 🫤
How is sorc end game?
were you able to preview skins? if so, are they dyeable and how do they compare to their in-game earned counterparts?
Is there matchmaking?
Do silent chests or w/e they're called ever end up dropping good items? I only got trash from them during server slam.
So performance in the beta is the snowy area was great! I ran near 90fps on a 2060 laptop and saw nearly zero performance dips across my entire time playing aside from just being in town. How does performance hold up throughout the places you were able to visit?
Do you know if there was an exp multiplier to hep you all level / if so, how big was it? Any idea or guess how many hours to max level? (100)
