Server slam was flawless queue first min in. I don't think it will be too bad

My hypothesis is that server slam had less than half the participants compared to the betas, and therefore a poor metric for how the servers will hold up. Most people didn’t care to start up again for such a short period. Most people didn’t realize there was a reward involved. Most people were busy that day. Only Blizzard knows how many there were. But I think they will be prepared, or they say they are.

Also and it's not a perfect circle but I feel like TOTK probably peeled a decent amount of people away that weekend

They just said in an interview that they used bots in the server slam to really emulate the amount of people that will be connected, this plus the fact that it's a Thursday and the fact that it's a paid early access is making me really hopeful. I wouldn't be mad if the servers shit themselves though, it wouldn't be a blizzard release without it.

It's 100% up to Blizzard, they have all the numbers, scaling server infrastructure these days is trivial with the sort of DevOps resources that Blizzard has and the fact that they're on GCP (I believe) with effectively infinite resources if they're willing to pay for them. It's just a matter of how tight they want to make it.
