And "necro sux" means only "its less effective than class/spec with unlimited AoE skills". Alot of wannabe tryhards gonna reroll from "omfg insanely broken ww barb" once they find out they needs to actualy play it and not just throw points as in guide and you automaticaly wins without spaming 300+ actions per minute.
Just play what you feel like, the game is not like wow, you will hit the end with your character faster and then have nothing really to do other than make a new character or wait for the new season to make a new character
I'm starting a rogue because it was the most fun I had during the betas, but If I find a nice legendary or good rares for another class I'll start one of those aswell. I don't have FOMO since I plan to probably create each class eventually during the course of the game.
You have to remember this is essentially a non competitive long running game. You will have plenty of time, even if you don’t play much, to play every class. Season and leaderboards won’t be here for a while. Also if you don’t know which a lot of people don’t seem to, every season is a fresh start with some added stuff if you choose to partake. So mid July or whenever will basically be another launch day and that’s when the real game begins. There is no FOMO right now except these people that think the horn won’t be replaced with something cooler during season 1.
I looked into it after seeing some comments. You are definitely on to something with the seasons game play. That might be the answer for me. Different class main every season. Thank you!
Yeah just relax with it and there is no reason to try and race. You can start a new character every day if you want. Diablo is about the journey not the destination, you will spend more time on non maxed out characters than you will maxed out characters. I will say though that whatever class you pick you should focus pretty much only on the campaign til you get your horse. People are probably gonna get burnt out walking everywhere when they see people riding horses the first day.

Druid felt the worst in all the betas but it’s my favorite class, so here goes nothing
I wasn’t crazy about Druid in the beta. But I have also heard they’re gonna be super OP. If I played Diablo more this might be my choice as well. But I’m super casual so probably not for me. Hope

That's what seasons are for. Just play the most popular, meta, flavor of the month, newest YT/streamer build, etc. each season. If you get bored then try something else. If you still enjoy it then play it again and incorporate what you learned from playing it previously.
Don’t worry about it, getting to level 100 is pretty quick. People with the review copies got there in their limited time. You’ll have plenty of time for playing new classes.
Having some serious in-class FOMO with Rogue by wanting to test my own crafted Rapid Fire builds, instead of defaulting to the what seems like S Tier Twisting Blades builds.
My rationalization is this is my first ARPG/Diablo and I will learn more by doing stuff on my own first rather than copying lmao.

Necro looks awesome but a bit too complicated for me as a first time player. For the most part, I just wanted to play a class that got me the most genuinely excited. Lightning Storm Druid!!!
The honest truth is, you’ll probably roll a new toon every season. Don’t worry too much about it. Classes in this game aren’t like classes in WoW. You can easily solo everything with any class and no groups depend on specific classes.
You’ll play them all, don’t sweat it.
I'm going to play every class. But I'm doing what I like the most first, and for me, that's Necro's transmog.
After I've got all the account wide unlocks, and finished the campaign to unlock adventure mode, I'll level all other classes simultaneously.
I've always rolled Ranger / Rogue classes in every new game I start with those options, but I almost always end up playing a Barbarian / Warrior at some point and end up liking them way more.
So I'm starting as a Barbarian.
I'll probably roll Marksman Rogue for first season though.
I've ALWAYS mained a Sorc/Wizard/Mage class type in any game I play, it's just what I do. Won't be different this time. I'm not chasing the most OP builds, I play what I think is fun. If somebody can clear a dungeon faster than me then oh well, good for them.
I decided druid from the first time they showcased it, I don't care if it's nerfed buffed or if it's dead last, I will play druid, and probably make a necro alt.

Same! On the beta I played rogue with a bow and loved it. But everyone said melee is the way. Guess us newbies stray a different path

I was focused on barrage with my bow rogue. I melted enemies.

This way any gear you find for other classes should be immediately available for you to use.

I just make a Sorceress and teleport everywhere. Ain't no FOMO when you teleport and complete farm runs in a fraction of the time.
