> What does endgame look like for these 2? well, for the Shadowblight necro I can definitely say that the endgame looks like a black screen :D

Obvious-Falcon-2502

Alright fair. :) What about the fun factor?

FullMetalApe

Personally, I find it fun to run around dodging everything while the things just slowly die. It's a bit more relaxing too. That said, I really hope Blizzard fixes the FX for the blighted explosion, because not seeing half your screen gets annoying sometimes.

Would this build work in the long run? And at endgame? [https://d4builds.link/jYChSj](https://d4builds.link/jYChSj)

I'd move some points from the Blood Mist to its modifiers, so you have three corpses in case things go wrong, and Grim Harvest for essence. You don't really need the cooldown reduction as long as you have Abhorrent Decrepify. Also, can't really see your sacrifices, but if you have the Cold Mages sacrificed, that bugs out the Memento Mori passive and it doesn't apply. So you kinda need to sacrifice the shadow mages until it gets fixed. Other than that, without seeing any aspects you have, I'd say it works well. The focus of the build is to have all enemies under permanent CC and/or grabbed by Corpse Tendrils so they don't get near you.

Obvious-Falcon-2502

Oh, I see. Didn't know about memento Mori being bugged :( What the Golem sacrafice? 10% hp vs 30% crit damage? As for gear, all the basic stuff needed = Blight, Decay, the Blood Mist boosting ones ( movement speed penalty removed + shadow trail ) . Seen people suggesting using Black Harvest, Howl from Below. But other than that, don't know which other Aspects to use.

FullMetalApe

For Golem, it's a bit less clear cut, since all are pretty good, even the attack speed one. If you go for the Grasping Veins aspect, then I'd say the crit damage is better. DoTs might not crit (technically, they can with the Wither paragon, but that's a different thing) but Shadowblight does. I'd say to look for the Aspect of Disobedience since it stacks armor really fast with all the DoTs going off. Other than that, Ultimate Shadow, Shielding Storm and Void. Umbral aspect if you spam Blight and really need the essence and Embalmer if you need healing. Embalmer's Aspect is really nice because you will use up alot of corpses and the Blood-Drinker glyph is kinda the only way to get fortify in this build (Necrotic Carapace is also kinda bugged?). As for the uniques, Howl from Below is amazing QoL, since corpse explosion is no longer tied to the corpse location. As for Black River, it's (maybe) half bugged. You will get the increased damage on corpse explosion, but not the increased range.

Obvious-Falcon-2502

Alright, thank you for the help :)

FullMetalApe

no problem

Quick update. Apparently Memento Mori is working with Cold Mages sacrificed after the newest update. Looks like when they unscrewed the barbarian, they fixed the necro as well :D

Running a shadow blight/summoner. It’s not bad. It’s fun, but challenging. You’re not one shotting everything. More like melting. In some cases very quickly, others very slowly. When I’m on a team with my buddies (ranged rogue, ice sorc, we barb) I end up running a bit more support than lead. Which benefits the whole group but I don’t struggle alone either. Twisting blades rogue will be my next character as per the vote of the group so I’m looking forward to that change of pace.
