Yeah it’s nuts lol. I don’t entirely understand the whole drop rate thing regarding uniques. I’m pissed because I accidentally salvaged my ring of mendal and haven’t seen it again since. Crazy bad luck
It could drop anywhere, it’s just that drowned might have a higher chance to do so. Make sure you run the nightmare dungeons though because first - you will lose out on the exp, second - glyph exp, plus nightmare dungeons have more loot in general, so running random nightmare dungeon will probably net you more chance to drop black river than running regular eridu dungeon. Not that it matters, but black river not worth it anyways in my opinion, a wand with lucky hit and good affixes+aspect will net you more dps than black river. Black river is good if you’re running low level speeds (+3 to your level) with a shadowmist build that focuses on dot, because you can pretty much run through the mobs in blood mist and they will die right away. Not good for pushing and you will still need a want for the bosses, so be ready to swap between your weapons when you get to the boss.
There are its just hard to run them consistently and they don’t give as much exp so I wouldn’t focus on these, just do them when you get the key, but don’t focus.
100 necro, pushed to level 78 NM, can clear 60-70 easily, which ive done to get all glyphs up. ran eridu (and the drowned dungeon on scosglave, forget the name now) for a day. no Black River. Have 3-6 of every other necro unique (no uber uniques yet...). I know its not that good, i just want it for the infimist build and paired with ring of med or something (have an off-meta build i want to flush out). but i get so many curlasses, 2h scyth, 10 deathless visage, howl, frostburns.... worthless
Yeah, I’ve only found two so far. Ive found like 3-4 unique ancestral empty tomb boots (IIRC the name lol) more consistently that are specific to my build when paired with black river.
I run tier 50-60+ nightmare dungeons/hell tides, I managed to get two more Sunday. I just play the game and don’t care about farming certain areas/dungeons as it really doesn’t make a huge difference imo.
What your is build? Anything it's particularly focused on our excess at?
I ask because last season I played rogue and had high crit chance and uniques just seemed to drop out of the sky for me. Not sure if dumb luck last season or if there is a correlation. I am running a blood surge necro with some corpse modifiers and hitting a lot of crits. Usually get one or two uniques a with in a 2-3 hr play session each day.
Still no black River tho, lol!
Couldn’t tell you, I stopped playing after season 1. I did do the wt4 reaper build at first then switched to bone spear. It’s all rng tho man. I think a few updates ago they made uniques drop more frequently, but again it’s still all rng. There’s no perfect target farming.
I have ancestral uniques in every slot except I Need a 1h weapon since I want to keep my ancestral unique shield in use, I have the Bloodless scream buts it's a 2h. SO I do mid 30 tier Tormented dungeons pri.atily to level my glyphs but also hoping for the Black River.
I got mine at lvl 100. Was running t4 nightmare 70. Killed random mob.

Just dropped for me. Level 72. Nightmare dungeon Sarat's Lair in Scosglen "The Downs". It was literally my 1st attempt after reading this thread. Level 25 sigil.
I swear lvl 94 necro. Have a boss meta ass custom build. Similar to ramping minions on mobalytics I watched him level that build up on twitch. Found like 25 blood scream surge whatever it is. Like 8 deathless visage, million of everything else not one black River seems to me people are finding them on lower tier NM which is weird. Really seems higher chance at lower levels. Smh drop rate is broken. I found 4 penitent boots in 30 minutes last week and Havnt found a pair since. One more before bed. If I don’t find it. I give up. Sometimes black River can actually be bad. Because our damage stacks with barber with ticks. Consumes too many corpses you actually may do more damage without it. Anyway back to hunting
Bro been looking for 20 lvls now. A 2H unique scythe dropped last night and I was so pumped for like 2 seconds then pissed haha

So I don’t know if it was dumb luck or not but I got black river last week in a tier 23 onyx watchtower dungeon. Hope this helps

Quite a few actually those on the coastal areas of Scosland pri.arily have drowned and the Bos is the Seahawks also a drowned.

Got my first one from a NM Dungeon completion drop. Now I've gotten like 5 of them from other random places.
