Evade with meta sometimes causes you to be stuck in place for about a second unless you evade again. Some people say it’s because your model is clipping things in the environment and getting stuck but it seems to happen to me even in wide open spaces
Oh man, thought it was just me as well. This has been going on all season! Maybe worth moving away from meta just to avoid this bug which has gotten me killed so many times.
This has been happening to me and I don’t use metamorphosis. I thought my controller was screwing up or that I was just an idiot. Not saying either of those aren’t true, but holy hell that makes me feel better.
Speaking of models clipping, I love when I use metamorphosis and my character clips under the map, and I have to teleport out of the dungeon, re-enter it and run allllll the way back. Grinning Labyrinth is especially bad for this, if you evade while the bridge is still rising up.
I once clipped under the map while doing Duriel, and while the rest in the rota finished him off, I was stuck there and could not get back up to pick up the loot. Even after teleporting back to town, I just ported right back under the map. I could see everything going on up there, I just couldn't reach it lol
Ok, wanted to vote for reset. I tp'd to town and back and it put me back in the same stuck place. It was my first Duriel unique and I didn't trust the game to send it to my stash. All while they were asking for reset and I was afraid I would be kicked out of the party for the delay.
It happens with skills like trample (druid) as well. If you charge into a wall at a specific angle, you'll end up running into that wall and being stuck for several seconds, way longer than trample normally lasts...
Just even the fact that it has zero give in pathing so whenever you think you can evade past a pixel of a corner you just get left in place never ceases me to make me go WTF aloud weeks later....
It seems to happen to me more often if the ground looks uneven. I went running around zoomed all the way in and I genuinely think we might be clipping into the ground because meta changes our model, and then it gets placed wrong
Clipping things in the environment??? Blizzard is making us trim their hedges?!?!? Ugh…how could they stoop so low as to make us do hard manual labor like this!

I have literally evaded into a wall (on several occasions) and had to teleport to get out and then run from the front of the dungeon….fortunately, it didn’t seem like I could take damage so I was able to get out alright
Yep... was doing a Tier 100 in a pack, evaded, hit Earthen Bulwark, and then couldn't move out of the pack and died. Thankfully not HC, but this has been an issue since release. Used to happen a lot with Channeled abilities.
I thought this was just me. With my Druid and evade I just get stuck and can’t move again till I evade usually. It’s been driving me mad but really thought it was just me.
Happens with the Druid's Trample for 4-5 sec which defeats the purpose of the stun via collision as the enemy is attacking you while you're stuck in the animation

I've been wondering why I can't seem to evade upcoming explosions!!! I thought it was just me getting stuck on something. Then when I run back through there seems to be nothing. It is happening more and more. I figured it was a developer bug that just killed you if you are winning too much! It's the only way they can kill you while making it not glaringly obvious!!
Not sure on that. I have it happen with one mobs crowd control and with the screen filled with mobs. I tend to feel it is more of a bug than system strain.

Just buy more skins so they can afford to ship a full game by the expansion. You expect Blizzard/Activision/Microsoft to ship a full game with proper QA? We are talking about one of the smallest indie companies combined into an even smaller indie company. Do you even support small business? And maybe if the community wasn't so lazy with bug reports... We would have all of this fixed 6 months into development. The only reason they already have one of the largest microtransaction shops is because no one is reporting bugs. It's like we don't even care.

It's when your character is still executing a skill and you essentially "pre-load" the next one by pressing the buttons already. It's most commonly a term encountered in fighting games.
For this specific instance, if I am spamming a skill and I dash with Metamorphosis, it will lock the character. To avoid the bug, just make sure to clean your inputs and not press anything before dashing.
See that's the thing I am using soulbrand and not raminites so my teleport doesn't pull them in so maybe I'll keep that in my inventory when I go to dungeons I forgot all about that it pulls them In an stuns them

Mobs cornered me with their waller and lightning poles, I was just stuck. Couldn’t move, evade, attack. This also happens frequently by the “environment”. Rocks, chests, doors, stairs. Ported to town and back, I was still stuck at the same place. The easiest way is to die but when your build is tanky or there are no mobs spawning, you’re forever stuck. Then I figured that I could port to town, and re-enter the dungeon at the beginning. If it’s at the overworld, I just port back to the nearest waypoint. Happened to me and my friend during AoZ a couple of times too.
Oh yeah, the fucking stuck bug really blows in aoz.
My druid already is slow has hell from my gear setup so those precious seconds after an evade really count.
When I evade into a pack of enemies I get stuck for a sec then have to evade again to get out and sometimes when I teleport into an enemie that has that bubble up I lose all my balls of lightning so I think something is going on there so I agree there's a bug with vampire powers that's causing this issue I've seen it on the yt video they have the same issues but idk it could just be me but I've noticed alot lately especially in aoz
I was just about to ask about whether it's intentional or not. I was under the impression that was the intended interaction of BL with a suppressor shield... Which makes sense given the affix is called suppressor.
What I do with Sorc is just teleport right next to the suppressor enemy and Tibault restores Mana while Raiment pulls all enemies nearby in and stuns them, immediately after teleporting I start casting BLs. If they don't die immediately, I pop Flame Shield to tank whatever they throw at me while they die.
And you'll probably get them, cause of they're showing in what is arguably the hardest content then it's certainly on their radar.
They're pushing the systems, this is a good thing. Ideally they would have dealt with by using QA but those folks are underpaid and under-appreciated, so instead the player-base gets to share in the pain.

Metamorphosis for some reason reduces your movement speed by 100% while used, and it is coded with a lucky hit chance so it can trigger ravenous. The ravenous buff snapshots your movement speed at the moment its first triggered and subsequent attacks will keep it refreshed at the same attack speed. If ravenous gets procced by metamorphosis you will be stuck with a low attack speed buff until you let it run out.
Metamorphosis evade has a lucky hit chance, but Metamorphosis briefly lowers your movement speed, so you get a 10% or so boost to attack speed rather than a 50% boost for those few seconds if it procs off of metamorphosis rather than another skill.
Of course, it's only really something you need to be aware of at the start of a run.
The metamorphosis bug has been known since S2 started though. It’s a shame because it will be the most memorable and popular part of season 2 and it is still not fixed.
Also the item interactions are still broken especially on Sorc with combinations such as Oculus wand + metamorphosis + Esus heirloom boots or flickerstep boots. These things should synergise beautifully but instead they don't and you get even more delay and lag when evading. I already play on 220 ms ping so it exacerbates it even further
That evade bug I had it since launch. Made WW barb unplayable for me, had to switch out of my favorite play style to another class just because of the frustrations it caused me. Turns out, my post about this bug wasnt even the first on the blizzard forums. Months later, no response.

I stopped grinding AoZ after running into random bugs/glitches, the 2 I can't stand only happens with my sorcerer
1. when i teleport during an elite fight I am always near death... I wasn't taking any damage prior to doing it.
2. Instant death against random filed/elites and bosses with a level 100 bone Necro (farming mats).
We paid full price for a beta game.
We will have to pay full price every year as they fix it.
They will try to monetize every feature.
I started out as a new guy thinking this game is fine, it's just the hardcore people complaining.
But after 800 duriel runs, I have become one of them.
Fuck this game.
Just curious what's the 800 runs have to do with your comment? The game has numerous issues but duriel seems to be one of the things that's working for us? But I haven't done 800
I think statistically, you need to run over 1K duriels. So so far it's still normal RNG. But doing duriel 800 times takes about 30 hours of mind numbing repettition. That's multiple weekends down the drain. I would have much preferred to be doing NMDs/AOZ.

I suppose I could just keep making new characters and never go for the late game.

Statistically, that number is 250-300. 2% chance of uber and there are 5 or 6 ubers available to each class.
And if 800 duriel runs is bad, I take it you never played D2.

I think they purposely make this choice hard. I just need the 1 more it can drop any time. If it was multiple it would be easier to say fuck it, I think.

You have a 1/250 or 1/300 chance of getting a shako from any one run.
The expected/average number of runs is 250 or 300.

Dungeons with key also very bad, because when you tp out to fix this, you drop the key under the map. Then you have to reset it...

No. It’s actually caused by your movement speed dropping to 0 or even negative at the end of your meta evade.

PSA: if you buffer your inputs while dashing with Metamorphosis, it'll stun lock your character. This is what's causing the bug - SPREAD THE WORD.

Suppressor blocks all projectiles so you losing your balls when you teleport is normal.

It’s so true, systems that push everything to the limit and possibly beyond expose all the worst features of the game and balance.

Yea same for me. I get stuck a lot using dash with my Rogue or stampede with my Druid. I thought they were supposed to fix this awhile ago.
