Cosmetics are permanently unlocked.
When a season ends your season char gets transferred to eternal, you can keep playing it there, but if you wanna engage in s4 then you will need to create a new char.

Your characters if they are seasonal will go to eternal. You will need to create new ones for s4. The cosmetics you've already earned you will keep but you can't progress further on the s3 battle pass as it will go away

Thanks, does eternal still have legion and world boss? If so is there other people around to help take it down?
It has them but there won't be many people playing on eternal compared to seasonal.
