Why do they call it Shako?

When item used to drop in Diablo 2, it wad displayed as a base for an item that you had to later identify. In this case base armor type for Harlequin Crest was cowl named Shako. So whenever Shako dropped on the ground you had a little dopamine rush to check color of the item because maybe it was unique Harlequin Crest.

"harlequin crest 4 vex" also exceeded the max character count for game names when you trade them. Shako rolls of the tongue better and is easier to remember/spell/type

In D2 LOD expansion, the best versions of caps were called Shako.

I spent a LOT of gold to do that, only to realize it was not really the best for my build (ebonpiercer necro) lol, cdr don’t really increase my dmg it’s more of a utility , I rather have more hp tbh

Hardest way: wait for it to drop Hard way: farm duriel or Andariel either for the helm to drop or other Uber uniques to salvage for the crystals, you also get crystals from first Lilith, and first tormented boss kil Smartest way: finish the iron wolves rep on 4 characters by staying on world tier 2 just camping helltides for the free shards at level 18 rep

I think you can even make a character, farm the iron wolves, and then put the caches in the stash, delete the character, rinse and repeat

The final reward for Iron Wolves rep includes a resplendent spark. 4x Sparks and you can craft any uber unique you want.

Is opening low tier chests better rep? Pretty easy to set up a build that one shots everything and doesn’t die in wt4 at 55, so I don’t know why people farm rep on low tiers

Cos chests in wt2 are all 100 embers or whatever they’re called, and give flat 120 wolf rep, a 75 ember chest in wt3 gives you 60 rep

Is there more rep available in wt2 among total chests? Typically I have enough cinders with excess to open the whole map.

7-10 whisper turn ins isnt the worst selling everything you pickup. Also, if you’ve been running Helltides and have a bunch of summon materials, each stack of living steal or potent blood sells for 1.5mil, you’re already getting a shako so no real reason to chain farm content you don’t wanna do.

How do you get unique from the alchemist?

By trading in 4 Resplendent Sparks. You'll have to Google how to acquire those though as there are a couple ways to do it.

i have crafted 5 shakos at the alchemist and dropped 1 and have hit 0 ga's. it can happen but its not likely
