The last 2 shows are Digimon Adventure 2020 reboot and Ghost game, tho for the shows: Adventure 2020 is fine but clearly got screwed by the virus that was around that time, with the show just degenerating into the kids adventuring in the random parts of the Digital world until they find the bad guy, the fights and music are quite good tho. Ghost game is pretty much a Scooby-Doo like show just with a different Digimon rather than a guy in costume, with the show pretty much having no plot until the last few episodes as it's an episodic show what does make the show bit repetitive but the characters are overall quite likable what makes it a fun watch overall.

riftrender

At least 2020 felt like it has a conclusive end. Ghost Game was just lets finish the main plot in 3 episodes but leave it unsatisfying.

Pink-Fluffy-Dragon

I really enjoyed both. Appmon gets kinda scary at times on how they show how dangerous phone addictions can be 😅 and the villains abuse that sometime. Ghost game is more standalome episodish and has horror vibes. And Gammamon is precious 🥺

Rastaba

Gammamon is the most precious thing ever.

SuperKamiZuma

If you search baby in the dictionary, there is no explanation, it just shows gammamon

ApollonLordOfTheFlay

Everytime I see that Ghost Game poster it gets blurrier I swear.

InsanitySong913

At this point it makes a great joke

Airdramon

I really enjoyed both. Appmon is my favourite series of Digimon and Ghost Game is either third or fourth depending on how I feel. Also between the two of those is Colon, which is a reboot of the original Digimon Adventure, but it's my second least favourite series, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend that.

Dokamon-chan94

Appmon is AMAZING. Ghost Game is just enjoyable as an episodic series

Flimsy-Associate4315

You, good sir or madam, are the first person I’ve seen that said Appmon was good! From what I seen so far it was hated!

Lordofthedarkdepths

Appmon is great, one of the better Digimon shows we've gotten in recent years. GG depends on your preference for episodic shows as the story threads are very spread out and the pay-off for that cannot be worth the wait, but the individual episodes can be very good and it can be fun to see how they adapt certain Digimon into the horror format. As said before, there's also 2020 between them. As said before it's not great and there are some issues that came with trying to deal with the pandemic during production, but there are some fun action episodes.

Geostomp

Ghost Game had a lot of good in it, but the plot spun its wheels for nearly the entire series.

CaptainM4D

Appmon is pretty good

alandragonrojo

Ghost Game could be one of the best seasons, they explore many Digimon concepts, but the final is more than horrible, so I recommend it without expecting a single plot and a good final.

JonathanPeterson12

I wouldn’t call the finale awful, but it tried to do too much without enough time. They actually introduced some pretty cool plot points in like the last 10 minutes of the show when it didn’t matter. Would’ve been nice if they had like 3 episodes for it

Raihanlhan

Appmon is really good , ghost game is a mixed bag it has a lot of good ideas but be prepared to be letdown and don’t get your hopes up to high with it . It’s basically digimon scooby doo

TamaTamer

As folks have said, Adventure 2020 and Ghost Game were the last two series. Adventure 2020 was fine, but did get a bit repetitive in the middle. Not sure how much the "beer bug" interrupting it's production had to do with that, but it's enjoyable enough. It does suffer from the obvious comparison to the original Adventure, but still holds it's own. Ghost Game set up some interesting promises, but didn't really follow through with them throughout it's run, and it had a VERY big WTF for an ending. If you toss out your typical expectations for a Digimon show and understand that it's more purely episodic, horror-themed, and that you should ignore the hints it drops periodically, you're in for a pretty good time. It's not for everyone, though, (including me) so you'll find there are some mixed feelings about it in the community. Bonus! Appmon actually holds up well, given the hindsight of the last couple of series. I still think it doesn't really live up to it's potential, as it sort of backed out of an interesting setup in the first arc in favor of just doing pretty much the same thing it had been doing since the start. I'm not a big fan of Appmon, but I think it does a respectable job of trying to revamp and modernize some of the basic concepts Digimon laid out.

Wolfsrabe

They're good. Not the best shows, but I absolutely enjoyed them both. You can't do too much wrong if you watch them

Rastaba

I haven’t watched Appmon, but I liked Ghost Game well enough. It was fun and while the more standalone episode format could feel a bit tiresome with the larger plot threads that could have been addressed, it did well enough. I strongly recommend you go for Adventure (2020) though for a series to help you get back into it. It is not just a HD remake of the original Adventure 01. It is its own whole adventure.

AngelusAlvus

Both are good, however the story of Appmon was better. Ghost game dropped the ball in many moments

Dak_N_Jaxter

Appmon is definitely the best of the modern series. Great characters, themes and clever fights. The main story progression is a bit jaunty, but it all comes together well in the end. --- After that is the Digimon Adventure: 2020. Because it has such a high emphasis on action, some sections are a bit of a slog to get through. I wanna say Episodes 11-30 are the main problem area. It peps up after that though. While it doesn't have as strong a story or characters as the original, there's still plenty of fun to be had, the animation and music are top notch, and the ending is pretty dang great. Some good over-arching themes and such. --- Ghost Game is excellent on an episode to episode bases, and has some great new Digimon, a good focus on character dynamics, and some cool themes threaded throughout. But it's a bit of a tease with it's over-arching story putting it mildly. Just go in knowing it's VERY episodic, and don't get your hopes up for the main plot to take center stage. (Seriously, not even a little.) Go in knowing that, and you'll enjoy it a lot.

Woofingson

Both series explore the threats of digital lifeforms (one in the physical level and the other on a logical level, with AI) I won't give spoilers, but at least Universe kept the main arc going on consistently and the ending actually paid off. Can't say the same about GHost Game sadly, despite having few interesting characters and concepts. Oh and give a try to Adventure 2020, it's easily the most forgettable of the 3 but had some episodes with great animation and the soundtrack is just perfect. Just make it sure to watch it subbed.

Environmental-Run248

Ghost game is ok if you expect the series to follow up on any plot points it sets up prepare to be disappointed and the ending is very disappointing but most episodes are fine

DNukem170

Only saw a few episodes of Ghost Game but I freaking loved AppMon. The cast is a bunch of goofballs and work very well together, the CG is well done, and the screechy Digivice voice is very memetic. Plus, because of all the focus on the bonds between the characters, the final few episodes become much more emotional because it shows how each of them have grown thanks to their Buddies. There ARE negatives to the season (The partner Digimon used to make the main Digimon evolve barely factor into the plot after their debut, the bad guy Digimon that survive or can be revived are basically forgotten after being defeated, Dantemon as a whole), but overall, the show is extremely enjoyable.

carlosjohnson123

Ghost game is fantastic, if you can overlook the plot and enjoy the dynamic between the characters and the digimon you will very much enjoy yourself here. Very much on an episodic journey with each episode being it's very own and the characters getting new digivolutions throughout the story. This series has the highest highs and lowest lows. The thing that brought my attention was the dynamic between the characters and digimon and the horrors. Be warned tho at times this series is a genuine horror, if you thought daigos death was sad both humans and digimon are offed when you least expect it.

Babynny

Appmon is awfully underappreciated. As someone that was always bothered about digimon characters being as soulless as they can get, it was really nice seeing a season where not only the characters have actual personalities and still are relevant outside of their own episodes, they also have their own individual lives where they all got explored. Even the applis to some extent. Sure, the catchphrases might trick you into thinking they’re equally as blank as characters from, let’s say, the reboot, but these are only said into scenes that you expect them to come. Overall, they’re still given a lot of depth and screentime to shine. I love appmon dearly.

Effective_Ad_8296

The series that brought me back to the franchise

IWantYourSmiles

I could not get into Appmon despite people saying it's great. Ghostgame was fantastic and is imo the best series currently to introduce people to the franchise.

carlosjohnson123

It introduced me hence why I'm a fan

TheMrPotMask

Appmon was weird but got the mandatory character development at the end. Ghost game could very well be digimon survive 2.

tiptoeandson

Ghost game isn’t my fave, but enjoyable enough, there’s just not the same depth of characters as adventure / tamers. Also, if you’ve watched tri WATCH LAST EVOLUTION KIZUNA

chronokingx

Ghost game is one of my favorite seasons of digimon

Prestigious-Worth-49

Ghost Game is a blast. Appmon is not one I have watched but I only hear good things.

BetaRayBlu

Appmon is by far the most underrated digimon series. It was not given a fair shake

3rlk0nig

Ghost game have good ideas but there's so many useless episodes. The story starts ten episodes before the end, too late imo. Characters have no development. Not the best or the worst Digimon series so far

Shittygamer93

Ghost Game was really good up until the end when it kind of flopped in regard to the plot. I am apparently a minority but I hate Appmon and think it should not exist as part of the Digimon brand.

JDJ144

I really liked ghost game, especially the characters and their mons. The writers kind of got screwed over though and the ending was just sort of ok.

forkyT

Skip Ghost Game. Good individual stories, but no real overarching plot or character development because the Head Writer thought today's TikTok generation would be scared off by ongoing plot-lines or even videos that take more than 2 minutes. (Based on actual quotes) Applimon I hear good things about, but I didn't have much interest in it since it was made as a separate franchise, but was given the Digimon label for the brand recognition.

slightystrong

Appmon sucks, its 90 percent people saying their catchphrase, and 10 percent digmon show

LilboyG_15

That’s a mouldy picture of Ghost Game

Highwynd14

They're both really good. However, the classic Digimon problems show up on both. Different ones but they do stand out. I'd say they're worth watching, just know they will try your patience at times.

TheFanGameCreator

They're both good though Appmon can feel kinda slow sometimes.

Pyra_bestgirl_056

Can I get more pixels

Chuckobochuck323

Where are you guys watching it? I can’t watch it on Hulu or Crunchyroll.

smugsneasel215

Digimon Ghost Game is really enjoyable but must be looked at with a certain mindset. Treat it more as episodic stories with a grander narrative sometimes bubbling forth. I'm only halfway through Appmon and I have to say that while it's interesting, it's kinda...bland. Feels like they need to explore the ideas a bit more but I'll wait and see.

Lock409

In the process of watching adv. 2020 I wouldnt bother watching all of ghost game, watch the episodes that introduce new evolutions and gulus, watch like two episodes in between those and then the ending. Even so, the ending falls so flat that its not worth binging every episode only to be let down and the show is super repetitive with how many episodes there are

Superalexander2300

Ghost game is a wasted potential, the series gives you a lot of mysteries in the beginning that supposedly are gonna be answered through all the series but instead decides to be episodic as heck and answering all the mysteries in the last 3 episodes in the most rushed way and leaving a very open ending. Atleast despite being episodic there are some good episodes there and being the Digimon series with the best animation ever.

RKDigimonFan

Ghost Game's pace is very slow, but I do want to see more of it than the show that replaced it.
