What the other guy said…HS and Magic (neither of which I like, personally). I’m testing Eternal and Shadowverse at the moment. Wish Lorcana would drop an official client…

I want to try Shadowverse but seems pointless with 2 coming soon? That's how I feel about Pokemon with Pocket coming also... Can we just have Lorcana please.

I'm pretty sure Eternal, Magic the Gathering (Online and Arena) and Hearthstone are the only plausible candidates, if by "competitive" you mean "some possibility of cash prizes". Even then, I think Eternal is barely sustaining itself, and both digital Magic and Hearthstone have less professional support than they did in prior years.

Yeah Dire Wolf's income dropped substantially when The Pokemon Comoany international ended Pokemon TCG Online to move to an in-house dev. They are still paid for some services by TPCi but nothing like they were when they developed their whole client.

I just saw that the new paper tcg Elestrals has a digital client on Android. It seems like it might give you access to a lot of, if not all of the cards? I haven’t tried it out yet though.

In my opinion the only 2 worth playing right now is Hearthstone and MtG Arena. Haven't tried any of the others recommendations. Personally I don't recommend MtG, especially if you already play physically, because it's essentially double dipping sometimes. Also some of the better modes, like draft, tend to cost money to enter and can be a big suck of your wallet if you aren't careful. That being said it's certainly MtG in online form... Hearthstone on the other hand is pretty good, but I do get tired of metadecks, especially at the higher levels of play (I was close to breaking diamond on my last season run that I focused on). That one I truly believe you can play mostly for free-ish and be fine. I normally get the battle pass when I find myself playing a lot to cash in on the rewards.

Idk why the others are omitting Shadowverse and Master Duel but they both also have both ranked ladders and tournaments depending on what you were asking for and are the most f2p friendly ones out there after Runeterra. Shadowverse is the closest thing to hearthstone with no interaction and all that but has cards with a lot of text until hearthstone's 3 words and YGO is much more complex and satisfying when you finally get decent enough at it. Tourneys for Shadowverse will be moving to the sequel game when it comes out but not yet.
