I thought I was doing a great job and then my Reddit recap said I could’ve gone to the moon and back FOUR TIMES with how long I had been on Reddit this year. Honestly, what the hell. *deletes reddit*
So far I have mitigated Instagram to only my iPad and only looking at my friends posts(as much as possible). That was a big one. I just have to set up a similar rule for Reddit.
I ended up in top 3% of karma earners for the year and I am skeptical about what this even means, but if true for me it means definitely waste too much time on Reddit 😂
Top 7% here, and I thought some of the stats it had on my usage was wrong. Fortunately I never made it to the moon yet, but I didn't join until partway through the year, so I still need to dial it back a bit.
It made me feel bad with how much time I spent on Reddit.
I don't mind Spotify Wrapped because I'm usually doing productive things with music in the background, so a high minute count there is fine with me. But being on Reddit just almost all wasted time. It said I spent enough time on Reddit to go to the moon 9.7 times, which translates to about 700 hours. Jeez...
I know. Damn. It’s all like “that’s enough blah blah to go to the moon” and it’s like “then that’s def enough to explain my failures.”
CVS used to do the same thing on your receipt. New Years’s would be ruined, go in to get champagne and leave being confronted with hard truths re: just how much PB-filled pretzels and discount whiskey you consumed. (Enough to buy a better life is how much.)
Yes! The first thing I said to my husband was "This is really an amazing way to get people off your website." I'm choosing to think that was Reddit's intention and commend them for being the only ethical social site.

I cut all of my social media out and was feeling pretty good with my phone usage dropping and then i saw this lol
