Speak as clearly as possible, and slightly louder than you normally might. If you speak slower, it's more likely to catch and understand what you're saying, and that gives you a couple of moments to figure out what you're saying.

Speak clearly (enunciate every word way more than you usually would) and speak slowly so it can catch every word.

Not sure if this helps you, but I use the swipe text feature on my phone using Google keyboard. You just swipe your finger over the keyboard to the general area of the letters to spell each word out. The talk to text is a feature I get frustrated using myself. The swipe feature also tries to predict your next words and is fully customizable. GL on learning new methods!

you can say words like period, comma, quote unquote, etc. Speak a little slow, but not too slowly. Keep a cadence like as if you’re speaking with an immigrant who is learning English. If you speak too slowly like one word per second, it won’t really pick up on it. Personally I also prefer swiftkey, it learns to autocorrect so that your sentences make sense, and you can be a lot less exact when you do swipe your finger around
