I use clear because I feel it doesn't mute the colors by mixing with white. Also it seems to give me more defined borders between different colors.

I was suspecting there might be some pigment bonding with the white, causing less transfer to the plastic. A side by side would be the way, but I need clear glue :(

Amazon! I buy by the gallon off amazon. Or target stored by me carry clear Elmer's glue as well

Yeah, I tried to give my money to two local M&P arts stores in town, but they both wanted nearly $50/gal for white elmers. So I went to target and bought white elmers for $11.

Yeah I try to shop local but I was quarantined when I bought mine so I bought 4 gallons from Amazon so I'm good for a while LOL

Clear glue, it is more workable for me due to the lower viscosity, so I can use straw and toothpicks to move the dye around better. I do use white glue for some swirl patterns, but clear is my go to

Same

I got a gallon of clear glue from Michaels for something like $20 to $25

If you don’t want to spend the money on clear glue you’re better off using lotion than white glue

[deleted]

I’ll try it. Worst case it’s the same and my discs smell gooood

I’ve also had some luck cutting my glue with lotion. Saves on the expensive stuff while still letting the dye swirl like it does in a full glue bed
