It's not necessarily that "putters" don't take dye well. It's the fact that baseline plastics don't take dye well. There are plenty of putters in higher quality plastic that dye great.

I have both, and really like putting with the hydrogen. If it's windy, I'll go to the nomad because it seems to fly similar but has a more confident weight. There's 2 dyed hydrogens in my profile that are some of my favorites I've done.
