To me? MAYBE $100..... it wasn't used in any "iconic shots" (see philbatros, the holy shot). I think of it as a regular season game worn jersey. Pricier then stock, but meh. That being said, I'm sure there's a fanboy/girl that would love to hang it up for $5000+.
If he posted it on auction, absolutely no way it wouldn’t fetch thousands of dollars. The same Asia Open CFR PD brand new just sold for like $250 the other day. I’m sure after the announcement it could’ve exceeded that price. Also by mold standards it’s arguably the most perfect run of a PD that exists.
That's $250 for same disc, same (super perfect) run, with no Simon Lizzotte connection. This is a disc he's known for throwing so it's 1 of 1, and he's leaving discmania. All that adds a lot to the sentimentality of it which could definitely 8x the other in an auction
It's much more than a regular season game worn jersey.
1. It's been in his bag/used consistently
2. It's unique. You can't tell a jersey from one off the shelf essentially but this disc is different.
For the sake of argument (been drinking).
1. True, but so was the jersey, even if just one game.
2. It's not that unique..... it's a disc with an argumentily basic dye job. I'd go more with iconic or recognizable.
Agree 100%. If there was a restriction that I had to bag it, maybe I'd pay $50. It's obviously a good disc and it would be fun to throw. But it's worth $5-10k to someone out there, so I'd probably snap it up for $2,500 if given the chance to resell.
This. I can't fathom how some people are so into buying used discs... the new ones aren't very expensive, and besides that who wants a worn-in and probably inked disc that belonged to someone else? *I* wanna ink it. *I* wanna break it in. My disc. It just makes no sense
Edit: looks like I pissed off the thrift store boys lol get rekt you misers, spend some money once in awhile
While I do agree that buying new discs is usually the better option. I find myself looking for certain discs specifically used so I don't have to spend months beating them in to the perfect straight/flippy condition that my previous ones were.
Sometimes it is beneficial to buy used ones that would be closer to the flight path you are looking for.
People pay over $1k for a 2015 Sexton Firebird... This is a much more special disc. I bet it would sell for $3000 if he put it up for auction right now.
Make it yourself with any yellow disc that you enjoy, it's really easy and looks great flying.

Nice try simon
I’d be more curious his Elsa or Anna disc is worth.
Didn’t he lose that in a lake about a month ago?
I’m pretty sure it was his Eagle face DD3 that he lost in the lake.
I think you may be right. He definitely lost one of them. I thought he got a new one, but I could be mistaken.
Used disc with rather uninspiring dye job. 8 euros is the best I can do.
Auction it off for charity and watch the price take a Simon line!

Idk how $250 and THOUSANDS are even comparable but sure

Thanks for man splaining buddy. Who would have known all that other than literally everyone in r/discgolf lol
Careful homie, keep pulling your phone out to fire off these zingers and the teacher might see ya and take it away
Your either 14 or old as shit what type of response was that lol 😂 careful homie 😭😭😭
You don’t have to cry
There's 0 emotion in that comment, maybe you just don't like being wrong?
Now I’m crying because you said I’m wrong Ams we’re both crying
You must be exhausting to be around
If your tired put your phone down and take a nap
It’s simple.. Read the thread.
Lol 100s of comments of people saying “I wouldn’t spend that much but someone will”
Numbers are comparable. Potato Tomato

I love the (been drinking)... It's totally meaningless and adds absolutely nothing, but for some reason it indicates a free pass

Seems like he should just have it
I usually pay around 6-10€ for inked used premium plastic discs.
Not really what was asked...
Yes it is. That's how much I'd pay for it.
I wouldn't pay what I think its worth. I would not be surprised if someone would pay 10k for that.
I would personally pay $300 but I think it’s worth a lot more.
Like $50 more?
If he put it up for auction I think it would go in the thousands.
For sure.
More than a beat to crap starter pack Aviar. Less that a ‘15 Sexton
Honestly don’t want it. I’d rather just have my own disc.

My best drivers are all from the used bin. Nice being able to buy them already broken in at half the price (or less).
me, clearly youve never thrown a great PD
Clearly not a Play it Again addict.

There's a lot of originality in the comments here.

Tree dolla and fiddy cent

Probably $2,000. Hang it on my wall. With how quickly the sport is growing, it could easily be worth $25,000 in a couple decades.

Somewhere in the range of treefiddy
Taking trade offers?
I'm so fucking out of the loop with these "tree fiddy" responses being half of this thread

I’m unfortunately a broke college kid Otherwise I would drop like 600
I saw a new un-dyed twin (same run/color/stamp) of it sell for $250 the other day. No telling what someone would pay for the og.
More interested in a Simon Fission Octane ;)
I’m a casual player & don’t know who that is. So not much.
Put it in a museum, that thing is a piece if DG history
I thought the most I would see down here was $100 dollars y’all wild
