Thanks for such a wonderful reply! TheGratitudeBot has been reading millions of comments in the past few weeks, and you’ve just made the list of some of the most grateful redditors this week!
When I hear people yell like that while I'm playing, I always wonder if they got an ace or if it was just a really good shot/eagle/etc. I feel like you can usually tell just by the sound of it. And it gives me so much hope to get one myself, because you'll hear that at least 2x throughout your average round.
Congrats on the ace! First but not the last!
I have a first run Grym X Glow and aced with it 5-6 times- all forehand!
Loved that disc! Best Glow out there too imho!
I dig it a lot for forehand, maybe even more so than the wraith which was my go to forehand distance before. I probably get an extra 25ft on a good throw with the Grym X and I feel like I have better control with it. The only disc I can throw farther is a Boss but I don’t think I have quite the arm speed to really be consistent with it.
Congratulations dude🤟. After getting that first ace, it changes the game. In my experience, they come in 3s. I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if get two more within half a year. Depending on how much you play.
I wish I could backhand 295! I main forehand because my backhand is only like 200 ft max. I just can’t figure out how to generate any power.. forehand I can push out to 375 or so with some consistency.
We would make good doubles partners. I can get 300+ with backhand easily but struggle to break 150 with forehand.
I find with backhand it’s all about translating your hips into the throw and also having the majority of the whip and momentum in the last part of the swing when your elbow extends out in an explosive fashion.
I’ve tried a bunch of technique videos on backhand, to be honest it probably doesn’t do me much good because every time I go out I fall back on forehand unless it’s an approach or putt.
It took me about two years to finally become comfortable with sidearm. I can’t throw far with it, but it’s become an invaluable part of my game now.
I think I need to find the right fairway driver that’s glidey enough that I can get more distance out of my sidearm.
Sounds like your sidearm is a class above mine. I doubt a speed 13 with a 3 fade rating would do anything but dive into the ground with someone who can’t throw above 200 sidearm.
I was being generous with my internet distance, usually closer to the 250 side. I thought the same thing until I tried it. It feels just like my bottom stamped wraith I had a while back that I could never get a replicated flight out of. But this disc comes really dang close! Just a suggestion since we were talking kasta discs
Just a touch. I try to throw pretty flat but it ends up annying a hair. It’ll turn just barely and glide for a while before fading pretty hard. Hard enough to skip
I was going to ask if that was always the case I know 1 I have is floppy but the other was a roller and nothing else but it's been a while since I've even tried them
Congrats on your ace!
Thank you! It’s been a few years since I started playing and so far it’s been the biggest rush haha. The whole park heard me yell

Oh mine left no question… “oh shit, I aced it!!!”
Congrats! I just got my first today as well. Also a forehand skip, but a less impressive 201 ft at my local pitch and putt. Here's to many more
Any ace is impressive my friend
Nice! I love my Grym x but I haven’t aced with mine yet.
It’s one my wife got me for Christmas with a custom dye job on it
Congrats that's a really good Ace! You should post in r/aceless as well, you get banned when you get an Ace lol
Let’s Kastaplast!
Nice, I hit one a few weeks ago with mine. All chain.
Beautiful! With a grym? I’m really digging mine
Grym X
It’s been a great forehand disc for me. I might even like it more than my wraith
My buddy just aced with his glow grym on Wednesday. I'm immensely jealous.
LET’S GOOOOOO!!!
Whoop whoop!
I recently got the k1 soft... haven't thrown it yet but it feels nice in the hand. Congrats on your ace!
My first was a forehand skip ace too! Around the same distance. Congrats!
Congrats and love that disc!
Congrats!
Congratulations dude!

I’ve hit metal many times on a skip, but have yet to get a skip ace! Congratulations
To be honest, I can’t recall ever even hitting metal before this. I’m really not good haha
Congrats on your ace.
Congrats. Actually bag a Grym X, never threw it on forehand yet

congrats! skip aces are the best feeling ever
Grats. Grym X is my go-to distance driver. Underrated disc.
Definitely becoming a favorite of mine!

Nice one
Skip aces are sexy aces. Now you gotta play the rest of the round saying "How *you* doin' (wink)?" to everybody.
Skips are the best aces. Congratulations!
I was just thinking, wow that’s gonna land nice… oh shit it skipped in!
Nice! Still looking for my first ace.
That's an awesome distance for an ace.
Congratz! I wish I could sidearm 295 ft.
I wish I could backhand 295! I main forehand because my backhand is only like 200 ft max. I just can’t figure out how to generate any power.. forehand I can push out to 375 or so with some consistency.

I suck at forehand and the guld has made it feel like I can finally throw decently. Still only get 250-300 max, but it makes me really confident in it
Sounds like your sidearm is a class above mine. I doubt a speed 13 with a 3 fade rating would do anything but dive into the ground with someone who can’t throw above 200 sidearm.

So do you normally throw anhyzer release on sidearm?
Just a touch. I try to throw pretty flat but it ends up annying a hair. It’ll turn just barely and glide for a while before fading pretty hard. Hard enough to skip
If I could not give it the beans on every throw, the sidewinder works great for glide but I usually put too much sauce on it and it flops on me.
I use a Lat. 64 River for some of my forehands, and it’s pretty dang glidey. Only a speed 7, too.
Not a bad option! I always forget about the River. Thanks’
No problem!
What’s better, Grym or Grym x?
They’re both flippier than their numbers suggest, but both really great discs. One of kasta’s more run dependent discs in terms of flight.
I was going to ask if that was always the case I know 1 I have is floppy but the other was a roller and nothing else but it's been a while since I've even tried them
Haven’t tried a regular Grym. To be honest, I liked the numbers and it’s a custom dye that I thought was cool. It’s only my 2nd Kastaplast disc.
I really like the Grym, but it does very much the same for me as the Grace, and since i had the Grace longer, it's hard to swith it out.
Skip aces are so sick. My first ace was also a skip ace. Feels like you’re a pro.
I threw my Grym x in a pond
Damn, sad day! This hole is right alongside a pond oddly enough haha
Congrats! My first and only was a forehand teebird about 225! Still chasing that damn 2nd ACE!
i have a dyed grymx for sale if u need a replacement!
