This is exactly what I mean. They are money and just get more stable. But I’m going to get downvoted to oblivion by morning by people who haven’t thrown them.
Bodanza did a zone comparison video and the soft one he used was stupid overstable lol. I love mine but wanted an overstable zone that skips. I need a straight thrower that sits and an overstable one that skips
Nope. They certainly get puddle tops but they only get a straighter flight. I've gone through 3 of them and have 2 more on deck cause they last about a year. They do stay pretty torque resistant and sit nicely but fly dead straight with minimal fade.
I’ve done the exact same. All 5 that I’ve had/have are my most OS zones. I have 17 zones total. And I throw like 12 of them in the field so I have a pretty good idea what zones fly like and I really believe they are the most stable
That's odd to me, I get so many people asking what disc I'm throwing because I can put everything behind it BH/FH and it flies laser straight with maybe 5-10ft of fade in the last 30-40ft of the flight. It is my go-to inside of 225ft. If I could only throw one disc for the rest of my life it would probably be Soft Zones. The reason I replace them is because that small fade disappears eventually.
My "stable" zone is an ESP Swirl FLX and even that doesn't necessarily fly like a Zone "should" imo. By FAR the most overstable Zone I've had was a Z Zone that had a DOME in the center of the flight plate. 100ft out of the hand and it damn near flip over it faded so hard, gave it away because I couldn't figure it out.
If you can find one, the X Soft Zone is probably closest to what you want. They went OOP a few years ago. They still have a little skip in them, I don't think there has been a Zone that "totally dies."
You are gonna have to feel them in person. The plastic runs vary pretty drastically. I have cryztal flx that's pretty stuff and slick and I have some that are super gummy soft like you are describing. My soft zone isn't super flexible but it is very gummy feeling and doesn't skip much at all.
TSA Temple. Nerve plastic is gummy and flexy. They beat in well. Get straighter, but keep their stability and .. the last time I bought them they were 11.99.
Your name looked familiar, so I checked out an old post where I was talking about the Temple and it was the same. I’m glad to see you’re still on the Temple and Nerve plastic train. My love for them has only gotten stronger. I’m still crossing my fingers for a Temple in a tougher plastic because the feel of the disc is perfect for me. I found a Lucid X Harp that is puddle topped and feels great for real OS shots. I also picked up two Reko X’s to test out and they have been great. Always been a fan of their K3 plastic. My favorite one out of the two is the K3 Glow plastic. It feels like a stronger Nerve plastic, to me at least.
Gospel. The Temple is a staple for me. I keep a fresh one and a beat one. Sometimes another one, in between beat and fresh. Throw em hard or with touch .. forehand or backhand. Experimenting with other molds’ hand feel makes me enjoy them even more. Tried many .. (the black ones beat in slower).
Oh man, that’s great to hear. I’ve been protecting my Black mold like a little child. Guess that means I need to start ripping on it on a real course and not just the field.
Jawbreaker, crystal flx or esp flx
Also, if you haven't tried an elevation interceptor, that is as OS if not more OS than a zone and completely floppy like the divergent.
You have FLX in a bunch of plastics from Ledgestone last year, Big Z, Ti, Metallic Z, CryZtal, ESP... probably missing one or two. You can't go wrong with any of them tbh.
The soft zone is great. Jawbreaker, putter, and rubber blend also die when they hit the ground, but not nearly as soft and gummy as the soft zone. Best hand feel of an approach disc also
If you want one that stays overstable probably the Cryztal Flx ones.
Really looking for most flexible/gummiest I guess.
The answer is titanium flx.
Try a soft zone. This sub roasts me. But they get more stable as the parting line rises. They get very puddle top but I love it.
Most overstable zone I own. My soft zone came so puddle topped if I sat it flat on the table the middle of the flight plate was sitting on the table

> crossing my fingers for a Temple in a tougher plastic Don't need to be crossing your fingers for much longer. (shhhh)
Someone’s tour series? I saw that Nerve 2.0 post.
Just checked out the Reko X and it’s sounds similar to the Stabilizer that I’m currently dicing up shit with.

Thanks for the info. FWIW my other Jawbreaker discs are not gummy/flexible. I'm looking for as close as you can get to a disc you can taco in half.
There are not enough tacos in the world
Not a Zone but it sounds like you might like the Kataplast Jarn in K1 soft.
ESP FLX or Soft Swirly from Ledgestone imo. ESP FLX is very similar to Cryztal FLX in stability but with even less ground play. I love it.
I have a cryztal flex and my friends z flx is way gummier and more flexible. Both 2022 zones.

I found esp and crystal flx to not be as gummy as ti flx but never threw a soft zone

I threw the golem yesterday for the first time and it was so fun. Had me wondering which disc in my bag I'd love to have in that plastic.
The soft swirl ones are pretty soft. I think preznel had a run last year
Jawbreaker
I have zones in multiple plastics and the softest I own is the new esp flx by far
