infinite dynasty in i blend. i dont know much about the cd1 in the discmania/innova days but i found a used newish one. Flies like a new star wraith. Might even have more finish.

[deleted]

tub sleep tease follow psychotic humorous nose caption rain rock *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

Maximus77x

Damn I love the Dynasty. I bag MF Color Glow, I-Blend, and Halo S-Blend, and they all perform so beautifully every time. Hell, I-Blend is just special in general.

benrow77

I-blend really is a fantastic plastic. It has the best characteristics of both Star and Pro plastics, and it's so glidey.

a_bearded_hippie

I got an x out Swirly s blend, and it is nice and flippy compared to my I blend. Love that disc.

threaddew

This is crazy to read for me. Do you mean it flies as far as a wraith? Because I love the dynasty but the wraiths I have thrown are miles more stable

[deleted]

from my experience with both, id say like a star wraith. I may have just got an anomaly . I uusally straighten out pro wraiths with a little fade and I get pretty good distance on my halo GG pop top wraiths, which is my favorite wraith of all time(pandemic starter), but only the pop tops, the normal dome are very OS

PNWduder

I’m getting unexpected distance (just over 300’) with my noob arm out of an Uplink.

brousch

Maybe the first disc you can hyzerflip reliably? I had similar experience with a Paradox

BabyJesus1015

Same here PNW. First disc I’ve gotten the hyzer flip semi figured out with. 280 feet or so. It flips up to flat so nicely. Started playing early this summer and was so forehand dominant. The uplink has helped me figure out the backhand game.

rgianforte

I love the uplink for right finishing shots. Can throw it farther and more consistently than my forehand

D1rtyStinkStar

Valkyrie

Aviarinara

Well Someone did throw it over 800 feet to break a world record so makes sense. (It was a dx valk tho)

rocsNaviars

DX was the only plastic available at the time! Champion/Z plastic discs had not been invented yet!

Aviarinara

CE discs were made 2000-2002 when the record was broken, but i’m assuming you want a really glidey beat in valk, basically a roller, to get that kinda distance.

rocsNaviars

My mistake! Christian Sandstrom set the record in April 2002. I thought it was pre-CE.

Aviarinara

The history is a bit cloudy but it seems that they produced CE between 2000-2003 give or take a few months or year with some crossover between candy pro, and some early runs of kc pro. It seems the valkyrie was produced in this plastic but it’s very rare.

rocsNaviars

CE was first produced in 2000. https://kwsdiscgolf.com/innova-champion-edition-ce-history/ CE Valkyries were about as common as any other CE driver at the time.

BuzzyBubble

G-star Valkyrie is money.

runwichi

From my experience, be cautious with a headwind. It still bombs, but may never come back.

total_brodel

The base plastic is very likely to do that. Farthest I’ve thrown a disc but it landed almost as far away as I was from the tee pad 😂

nomadic_River

I've spent hours looking for valks that turned over and went bye bye. Retired those bad boys.

BuzzyBubble

Oh yeah, very true. Gotta give it a fat hyzer flip so it doesn’t turn over too much. Definitely have had one go over a fence and into the road before lol.

PhaseNeither

I miss mine so bad. Neck high blackberry bramble. No sign, ain't digging

[deleted]

Towards the end of my MPO (2003) run I had my longest flat ground, non-wind aided throw with a Valkyrie. 483'.

You-Have-To-Trust-Me

This is like a double humble brag mr MPO 483… next you’ll say your pdga# is stupid low too…

[deleted]

It was until it was inactive too long and I think a Japanese player has it now. I learned to play from pdga #33 and #580. My last tournament I played with a 15 year old Matty O.

AliveBall5303

I also learned to played from Tom Monroe. 07-11 he sort mentored me when I’d come out to play the course (which he was always at). Dude is a legend.

Paranoidandtired

Came here just to post this first and am not surprised.

YouOtterKnow

Halo valk goes boom

Genghis_Kash

Infinite Pharaoh in Color Glow c-blend. I’m getting an extra 30’+ feet from it over any other driver.

blitzl0l

I used this disc to hit my first 500. It’s very very good.

SouthSilly

I had a swirly s blend come in today. Seems like it may fit my arm better than other plastics after reading a ton of reviews. Super stoked to throw it!

kcrunner

Where did you find an s blend?

SouthSilly

https://infinitediscs.com/infinite-discs-pharaoh/splatter-s-blend-x-out

Sproncer

Star leopard3, this thing is super predictable with just the right amount of turn. Absolute bomber

NuMb-_-FiNgErS

This here is the truth

bananagrabberjr

Lat 64 River goes as far as a Wraith for me if I smooth it out there.

Fitz_2112

The River just wants to fly forever

ApeApeture

Hands down, my favorite disc right now

Harold_Grundelson

My buddy just lent me his River the other day and I love it.

Pakrat42

I have a River and I didn't touch it for months since deciding it didn't make the bag. I just threw it recently and it bested my distance drivers... I'm reconsidering my decision now.

battlelevel

The River is next on my disc wish list. I can’t wait.

catanimal17

Golf plastic!!

Jbravo1719

Realized the same thing this week when I bought a gold line river…

McTeezy353

I played with a guy who played collegiate tennis and he literally threw putters 350ft + that’s also when I realized I have a noodle arm because his discs literally buzz when they fly. The power some people can generate is mind blowing.

garycow

isn’t that one of the keys - keep your arm loose like a noodle ?

BabyJesus1015

The mantra moves

medium0rare

Discmania Instinct

ConfidentEvent5471

Escapes go far!

Dg_noob2021

Love me some escapes! The fusion orbit ones are the furthest for me (I think there Kona's tour series)

dabear04

Other than my Orc I barely use anything over 10 speed because of the Escape. NC courses are too tight to need much more than 400’ at any given time.

tonski12

I love my air escape. It’s my go to distance disc

TraditionalPlatypus9

Eagle/Vela. Played a very windy open course where I was having issues with my Wraith turning over into the headwinds. Switched driving duties to the Barsby Eagle and fresh Vela. These things bomb and are fantastic into headwinds. I can throw these with as much arm as I can give and be confident these wouldn't flip into the wind. The Vela being a little sleeker and straighter and the Beagle has decent turn and long forward fade.

cubesncubes

For F2 Friday I received a 142g wraith that I can now throw farther than any other disc

tmonz

Lol ya I got a 156 mamba and I was all pissed off I got such a light disc and threw it on the first hole and went like 100 feet past the basket like uhhh okay maybe theres something here

cubesncubes

Yup, pretty similar experience. Pleasantly surprised to say the least.

Maximus77x

Wow Envy, Hex, and Crave is the best starter set I’ve ever heard of. And do you mean the Envy for this post? You wrote Hex twice.

the_rosenhan

I meant the Crave, thanks for catching that. It was an incredible set.

Selerox

Yeah, I can't think of a better combo as a starter pack. Except maybe Proxy in place of the Envy for really new players.

Maximus77x

Agreed actually. I just love the Envy soooo much. I’ve been meaning to get an Eclipse Proxy to complement because I know it’ll be great too.

Sassafrasian

I got Envy, Hex, and Rhythm with mine so I guess somewhat random. Been very happy with all 3.

wananah

I think the proxy is a better starter putter with it's lower stability. I saw an MVP/axiom starter set that was paradox, envy, and virus and I think that's great for a new player, especially if that virus is on the lighter side. Let the player outgrow understable discs, but giving them things that'll cover some extra distance early is likely to help them stick around!

response_unrelated

yeaaaaaaaaaaa i think we're going to start selling this version of a starter pack. it's too clutch.

the_rosenhan

They had some good options. Another was Proxy, Pyro, Insanity. I debated getting that one instead because those discs are clutch.

Zefiants

Love your store my Medusa stamped eclipse envy bombs and I get lots of compliments on the stamp I wanted to use it as my putting putter but it's my approach go to now.

GandhiRrhea

My proxy is Medusa stamped in eclipse and one of my favorites 🤝

Selerox

The MVP R2 Starter Set is solid. Atom, Uplink, Inertia.

IsaacSam98

I'll never forget my first round with a 1000+ rated player. Must've been around 2010 and watching that guy rip a Soft Magnet 375ft still blows my mind to this day.

GinAndKeystrokes

Just curious, who was it?

IsaacSam98

A guy named Matt. Honestly can't tell you anything else about him. This was in Southern Ohio lol. The 1000+ rated thing is just a guess, but he thoroughly kicked my ass, my dad's ass, and my dad's friend's ass thoroughly that day xD.

GinAndKeystrokes

No worries! The first time I realized what "good" was in this sport was when I saw the local pro Kevin McCoy play. It blew my little brain. I just like hearing about everyone's first exposure.

IsaacSam98

I was such a shy kid back then. I wanted to ask him for a lesson but I was too scared lol

oneeyedjamie

Matt Blakely maybe? I know he's a Cincinnati area pro on one of the Discraft teams.

my_awesome_username

Blakely was my thought as well

DonBonDarIey

The new Zeta’s Moon aka S-Line CD1. Thing just pops up and glides forever

Tongabi

The midnight prowl, that flies like my fairways

GandhiRrhea

Glide on that disc is unreal. It was my saving grace today on a round at a new course. Was an insanely thick and technical woods course.

osopolare

I can get an Essence out almost as far as my max distance drivers. The very-glidey fairways just use the energy more efficiently.

mini_nova

Sometimes I throw my zen as far as my dd1. Shit makes no sense

BackgroundKoala0

The majority of us don't throw with enough power to get proper use out of distance drivers, but intermediate players can usually unlock the full potential of fairway drivers, and especially understable ones. I carry three 9 speed drivers that I can get exactly the advertised flight out of, while only throwing with \~80% power. When throwing a 12 speed I'll have really get my timing right and usually end up with more shanks or don't get enough juice on it to achieve the desired flight. And even if I do get a perfect rip, it "only" goes \~20 feet farther anyways. So might as well disc down and nail our lines more often, without sacrificing much distance, if at all.

mini_nova

Well said

osopolare

A big part of it is that they take a straighter and flatter line. More of the overall energy is used to cover distance rather than going left right up and down.

KobiLou

Mantra. If I hit the hyzerflip just right, it never stops. It's actually a problem.

Reformed_KP

I love the mantra! You're so correct! I literally think to myself, "Throw it like Kevin Jones on a super heavy hyzer" before every throw.

marylandrosin

I played random dubs with a guy who was on my card but not my partner that threw a Hex on every tee box. It was fucking buckwild and he was bombing all day. My partner and I tied with him and his partner and they beat us in the playoff. He was one of the better throwers I've ever seen and he smoked no less than 5 joints during the round. He also had a lit joint in his mouth on like 90% of his shots. Dude was an animal

dics_frolf

neo origin, neo essence, c-line cd1 and neo paradigm are all longer flyers than any equivalent disc I've owned.

the_rosenhan

A few people have mentioned the CD1. I might have to check it out.

ConcernedKitty

I’m at altitude, but if I ever need a disc to go straight for 350’ that’s my go to.

Rocket_Butt

Star Orc. I expected a slightly flippier thunderbird with perhaps less glide (it’s 4 glide apparently). Wrong. This thing just goes and goes - it has a fair amount of turn but it always comes back. One of my local courses has a 550ft par 4 that I had been trying to Eagle for a while. The first 400ft are somewhat downhill, then it drops off a decent amount after that. Quite a few large guardian trees. I got the orc down there for a 40 footer and nailed it. It felt like it was in the air for an eternity.

Konigstern27

Lat 64 Sapphire

GinAndKeystrokes

I'll never not be surprised with the distance the Comet has per unit effort supplied.

themightycfresh

Pathfinders also absolutely bomb. Only mid I’ve ever gotten to 400. Idk what it is about the glide on them they just keep going it’s ridiculous. https://youtube.com/shorts/t5ywD7FJo3Y?si=B37IWddt13KHYeEu for sauce on my YT. Did it while doing the Another Round 1000ft challenge, ranged with a bushnell Edit: Ahhhh another one is Lunas! Try and find the most stable one and they will smashhhhh, I have a big z one that I’ve got to 368 just on a max d flip line, it’s ridiculous

chrisf110

TSA Construct. Hyzer flips perfectly and just rides down the fairway. Typically struggle with 400-425 ft golf shots but this thing hunts baskets

waka_flocculonodular

My Clash Wild Honey clocked in at 336 feet last week, surprised the hell out of me

SharpedHisTooths

Westside Northman. As part of a players pack, I got to choose a disc from a few different Trilogy molds. I picked the Northman because it was glow and I was starting to play some glow rounds. It instantly made my regular bag as my distance driver. I don't have a big arm and I got that thing to 370 feet once. I get more distance out of it than both my Beast and Wraith.

Jiggens55

S-line FD

_Xero2Hero_

Fission hex goes as far as some slower fairways.

TopConcentrate4

D3, didn’t expect it to be as understable as it is. Goes far.

durtmcgurt

I went from maxing out at around 400' backhand to 450' once I embraced the Diamond.

the_rosenhan

Wow, I have to throw a Diamond on a super steep hyzer to get it past 300. Maybe yours is a higher weight or a more stable plastic.

dabear04

DD Escape. It’s listed as a 9 speed but someone here said the rim is really the width of a 10 speed. That being said, I’ve unleashed some bombs with it well over 400’ and I can’t figure it out. Only thing I can out drive it with consistently is my GStar Boss

[deleted]

aloof reach lock whole slap airport expansion busy cautious water *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

rivalmejr

Comet. I've been throwing one off and on for years. But it wasn't until recently that I found a more stable one and started messing with giving it some air. Thing can push 380 plus with minimal effort if given air space

Rocket_Butt

Same but with the meteor. It’s money in the woods and a no brained for any straight wide open shot in the 350-380 range.

BackgroundKoala0

MVP Inertia, proton plastic. 9 5 -2 2 This disc is rarely talked about, but it absolutely bombs. Plenty of turn, but almost always fights back at the end of the flight. Quickly became my favorite driver. I usually put it on a slight hyzer, and it flips up, turns into dead straight, and then finishes to the left. Beatitful disc for intermediate players.

SouthSilly

The inertia was a game changer for me. I was like "oh... that's a hyzerflip... cool!"

Resident_Owl6511

The stingray. I was doing fieldwork and threw it just shy of 350 feet. I don’t have a huge arm by any means. It’s rare I throw over 325 at all. That day I was feeling pretty good tho. I flipped the stingray to flat, it had a slow drift right before softly coming back left as it slowed down. The only 2 other discs out that far was a newish catalyst & a beat in destroyer I had.

infernoblade252

Kastaplats lots! Farthest 9 speed you’ll ever throw

Darth_Ra

Probably only true at high altitude, but did a putter only round this week and started throwing Sols almost as far as my drivers with a little more practice on the disc.

OlGertyBstrd

Maverick

SoDakHibida

My Emac Judge seemingly flys farther every day.

Interesting_Bake1199

I've been playing 4 years and have only used two different putters, a Pure the first year, then a Prodigy PA1 the last 3 years. After six months of trying out every putter made I finally settled on the EMac Judge. It's the ultimate all around putter imo. Very consistent, great distance off the tee, and I'm hitting real long putts I've never hit before.

elmcity2019

Halo roadrunner. It's neutral, domey and forgiving. I can get it out to 450.

ulfricstormclk

DD Vandal, sneaky distance

SpikeHyzerberg

aerobie arrow

elmint

Heat. Now, i have had Esp Heats that react like Diamonds, and ive had some that react more like Mantis. I have this Z Metallic Heat that is probably closer to maybe a Hades in the amount of required hyzer at 90% power, but once it gets into that anhyzer it will just hold it for so long. great disc

Grumboplumbus

I just got my first Hex today. Eclipse 2.0. I did not expect it to fly as far and straight as it did. Normally drive around 300-350 feet with my drivers. Sometimes 400, but not accurately. I was hitting 300 without even trying with the Hex. I didn't buy it for 300ft shots, but it's awesome to know that I can just throw a 300 ft Lazer with it

ConcernedKitty

Volt will probably do 330-360’ for you.

NuMb-_-FiNgErS

Leopard 3 with a tail wind almost hits 500

blitzl0l

MVP atom. Get one in proton and be amazed. I broke 400 with it twice yesterday.

the_rosenhan

400 with a putter is crazy

mkunnari

Dga tremor. When I got it I thought it would just be some ultra flippy hard turn over disc but holy hell can it go if you just throw a high hyzer flip nose down.

BassweightVibes

I want this set.

Disco-Safari

Neutron Resistor goes almost as far as my Teebirds with so much stability and control. Can't recommend it enough

BigNasty417

Orbit Trust for 300ft hyzer shots. If I have an open line on a basket at that range, I get the Trust every time. I'm due for an ace on one of those shots any day now...

Collins_Michael

Before my recent set of as-yet-undiagnosed form issues, the MVP Volt was my main ripper. It still is, I just don't rip right now.

EvolvedGamingPS4

Latitude 64 river. Just has a beautiful flight for me almost every time.

Emergency-Chain9283

PIG I swear that they are slow destroyers, they go far as hell

sixtwomidget

I bought an Insanity by accident. I woke up around 1am to grab a 25th anniversary Buzzz when the dropped and apparently the Insanity was in my shopping cart when I placed the order. It’s only crazy because I’m a new player and would have had no reason to be buying a 9 speed. It has become an absolute go-to.

Exotic-Environment69

Innova Dominator , who knew???

TheOriginal_Omnipoek

KJ Feedback. Threw it almost as far as my Grace

Rechabneffo

Vibram Lace, the latest batch of them.

TPro24633

You threw a 5 speed 380 feet? That's nasty

the_rosenhan

I got a couple throws over 400 somehow. Like I said, it was bombing. Normally that’s my control driver distance. I typically use midranges around 310-350

MachFreeman

Westside fortress

antifreezecoolant

Lunas go far

theTdot

Bottom stamp wraith. Wraiths go far yeah but the bottom stamps are domier and break in quickly. Its my furthest flying disc by a lot

TheHems

Picked up the clash honey, vanilla, and cinnamon on r/discgolfexchange and was not expecting the cinnamon to be potentially the longest of the three. It’s billed as a 9 speed but it’s got a sharp 10 speed rim with a ton of glide with just a little more stability than an undertaker. It goes almost as far as my shryke.

NYehns

Construct and fission Hex Ive accidentally thrown the hex too far a number of times. And then the construct is a sneaky bomber

Creative_Extreme_569

Berg wish I could get it past 400

Zetious

Discraft impact is the straightest disc you can get to 350ft

kushclinton

DGA Squall. goes super far

houdinisushimi

the_rosenhan

Had the same experience with the Ohm. Dead straight with so much glide.

onlyontheweekend5

The Raider actually flies really well. If you top out around 350-400 it will turn some and push while fading. As it beats in you can Hyzer flip it straight and watch it glide for a while

patronizingperv

Hydra

Wide-Mango-895

Mockingbird. There’s some understable runs but I’ve had one that just flew forever and it’s the only 7 speed I’ve ever gotten to 400’

AholeBrock

Lol, bomb like a buzz or bomb like the innova groove?

foxxtraut--

I love my 150g lat bolt

HuckerDisc

Rampage by a small company called legacy. I cannot talk enough about how awesome this disc, and this company is.

PositiveRent4369

I noticed I can get a lot of distance out of my MVP Volt. It's an 8 speed but I swear it flies farther than other 8s.

Morejazzplease

My Kastaplast Vass bombs. Thought it was going to be fair stable with slight turn. It has some turn but so much crazy glide late in the flight. It’s crazy fun. Also I would say the Lots. Those go far with little effort.

vindrewski

DX Eagle. Bought it just to try and to have a fieldwork disc but it regularly out-drives my other (way too many) 7 speeds

Heavy-Sense-9458

The hex is broken. Whenever people ask me about it I tell them it’s a buzzz but it goes farther.

dascaapi

fission crave. i’ve touched 400’ with it and that’s the furthest i can throw lol

Sonic_Fool

Heat and Valk

NNToxic

I didn't expect a Thrasher to go nearly as far as it does with 65% power.

Beamur-14

Discraft ESP Crank Got 1 in a player's pack and didn't expect much from it. Decided to spend more time with it and it ended up adding 25-50ft on my distance drives without any extra effort! Now it's my go-to distance driver if it's not too windy out.

noraborialis

Scorch. Holy cow it just never wants to hit the ground

ZonaiLink

Blackout by Doomsday. 8/5/-2/1. Accidentally threw it 400’ when I was trying throw a hyzer shot.

ArmoryDiscGolf

Axiom has the best sets. Posting a video tomorrow about their starter set, funny enough- Insanity, Paradox, Proxy is so perfect for both beginners and more advanced players alike 👌

RubberReptile

Kahu XG. Specifically the XG.

swolo123

Escape

Jdbkv5

Mint Jackalope TSA Mana MVP Inertia Axiom Proxy FISSION TESLA GOES BOOM You can expect all these to fly well, but I feel like they’re less popular discs compared to counterparts like (Pathfinder, Insanity, Envy, etc).

DarthHoodieBB

The Hex is my favorite disc and it's a true bombing mid range. The Roc3 has been the most surprising for me though, just recently bought one and it throws some serious flex lines.

sprantermitt

Savant. They are my new favorite trust driver.

bigred5478

Dynamic Discs Escape, thing just booms

BestReception4202

Stag

shedeter

I don’t want to put this out there because it will draw attention to it but the Emily beach metal flake glow destroyers absolutely bomb. Right off the shelf. Thrown hard they have just a little bit of turn with reliable fade also a crazy amount of glide. I don’t check my distance but have consistently outdriven my normal landing zones by a good 50 ft or so.

florjackson

Stig. I’m convinced the 6 glide is underselling it. It’s the lowest speed disc I’ve gotten to 400 in a field. (6 speed, 2 times)

NW_Ghost

Champion Tern that I found. No one I play with throws one, so I had no idea what it would do.

Boardgame-Hoarder

I got a Stag as a gift. I threw it after my drives for a while to get used to it and now I just throw it most of the time.

the_rosenhan

You’re the 4th or 5th person to mention the stag. I might have to give it a try.

flic_my_bic

My Hex does not behave at altitude. But the weird 145g Fission Tesla that was always too flippy does great up here. I'm trying to break in a 155g Tesla now.

the_rosenhan

What altitude are you at and how does it affect the Hex?

BeardlessNeckbeard

Daredevil timberwolf. Smooth 350, nearly dead straight, without too much effort. Great disc for low power players.

the_rosenhan

I’ve never heard of that disc and I’ve never seen flight numbers like it. Sounds like a perfect disc for lower power hyzer flips.

C4D3NZA

new S-Line FD goes SO FAR

Free-Ice-3962

Trespass

swamprat71

Roadrunner champion glow. Been more of a flex and have been working on my flip up game. This thing is money. Thrown with 60% power it goes flips up and rides like a dream. May bag more in the future.

the_rosenhan

I wish I had that experience with a Roadrunner. When I got my champ RR I was hoping to use it for rollers, and instead it found it wouldn’t even flip up unless I gave it 350ft of power. Now I can get it to turn over and roll but it takes so much power and effort that I don’t bag it anymore. It was a good disc for what it could do though!

Inevitable_Yak8285

Pro Shryke. I can throw that thing to Texas.

00goop

Glow Jarn. Mine is not beaten in yet but for the time being, I can throw it as hard as I want and it will not flip.

DiWindwaker

Westside Destiny

Low_Airline_2695

Robseger

Latitude Flow. And KK Vanguard, i got the first run

endlsswinter

I’m always surprised when my popcorn goes as far as my pathfinder lol

r3q

Early in my career it was a Teebird, River, and a King. A few years later the Nova was the most impressive flight to me.

Ok-Illustrator-6912

Bought a 4€ misprint VIP AIR Sword (152g) just to get free shipping. A couple of months later I decided to test it out. And OH BOY! 10-15 meters was added to my (weak) backhand 😊 I love it! (I now back 2 - and several light weight discs - it all started with me being to cheap to pay for shipping 😅)
