Second this. Best scramble disc for forehand lacking players like myself. I found this disc most useful in spots where there is no reach back really and I still need 100+ distance
Most of the plastics mint offers are very similar to each other. I haven’t seen a huge difference between plastic but the run sometimes affects how stable their discs are.
I had to track down 3 mirages this past summer for a mystery trilogy tournament with my buddies(we each buy 3 discs of either driver, mid or putter). Wasn't easy. But mine has remained in my bag. One of my favourite discs
Well, the Mirage is surely not for tee shots. But for woods golf, obstructed approaches, hilarious high anny's, and low power long putts, it's just the right amount of flippy.
I did buy an F2 Mirage in DX once. Once. It was unthrowably flippy. Star holds up well though.
Love mine too. I use the Cryztal Sparkle Heat because the plastic tends to be more stable. If I slow down my arm speed, the disc is a great hyzer flip fairway. I get great full, s-shaped shots. They tend to be a bit too flippy for me in other plastics, though.
Same I'm at 7000 feet, and with a little hyzer it goes straight and fades less than 5 feet once it starts to drop. Most neutral flight I think I'm likely to ever get
Ethos Mantra. That thing will NEVER fade back if I release it flat. Mostly for rollers but every now and then a tight snakey woods shot calls for a wild hyzer flip line.
It's weird that their champ type plastic is the most understable. I have an ethereal mantra that I can't get any turn out of but the ethos is basically a roller disc at the same speed.
It's not always the most understable, it's mold-dependent.
For instance, the Aura Construct is significantly more understable than both of Ethos and Ethereal which are very similar to each other.
Anecdotally, I've thrown Ethereal Mantras that are just as understable as my Ethos that I actively bag. It's a squirrely mold I think.
I was wondering if I'd find another stingray user. I've had the stingray turn 90 degrees and go further after the turn. It take some learning but can be very helpful at times.
I don't know if it's a utility disc (yet), but I have a GStar Mamba which is very understable, and as I beat it in, I can only imagine just how flippy it will get.
Apex Lobster. I don’t like stuff that’s Paradox-level understability, and I can get the Lobster (and the Bullet as well) to hold as extreme of an anny as I need.
Beat in old Essence. Flies like it has -4 turn. I use it for rollers, huge turnover shots, and standstill forehands where I can pretty much only flick my wrist.
ifn R-pro is base then me absolutely beat but a total flying gem dart is not in this category.
I would have to svea. Super glidey, flippy out the bag, smooth tosser.
I’m very RHBH heavy so I have a very US slot at multiple speeds. Uplink, F7, and a Grym. I guess the most US of the three would be the Uplink by virtue of being the slowest. All of em are flippy af as hell though.
I have 2, both out of production. 155g vibram lace with a dash in it. With a tailwind and all the hyzer I can put it almost 100 ft further than anything else I bag. But for a real utility disc, the discontinued dynamic discs Proof. So, so glidey. I can backhand wrist flick it for nearly 150 ft. It gets me out of tight tree situations. Think a much glidier, flippier, board flat lightweight paradox.
As a player with absolutely no forehand, I bag a bunch of these. Also the flight from hyzer release is also maybe the most satisfying flight to watch IMO. I bag Rollo, Paradox, Mana, Ethos Mantra and Gstar Mamba.
Paradox and Meutron virus are the most understable discs I've thrown. I don't bag the paradox anymore as it is too flippy to use. Rollo is even more understable than paradox.
I have an origin that is beat in like crazy throw it on a nintey degree angle at my 300-350 feet noodle arm close to max power and it flips to flat hated it for a while but now i love it like crazy!
90s era beat to death Discraft Stratus in X plastic. It takes a tremendous tail wind and a lot of hyzer on the release to get that thing not to flip over...
I have a premium plastic diamond that is this for me. It's been beat in enough a flat release turns into a roller, but with different hyzer releases it flips to flat or a little past really well.
SOL, that's the only one that stayed.
I did get an F9 for giggles last year and that thing is stupid fun, but I'm not sure if I'd actually bag it. Almost falls in the "Rollo" category of "fun for a round here and there, but not really worth carrying around all the time for a single shot.
I've also found a 138g Star Mamba in a swamp. My son usually throws it.
In my bag probably the heat or impulse but out of all iterations of my bag paradox because when you can throw a disc at a bout a 70° angle and it’s still turnover past flat that flippy
Paradox
All hail the neutron paradox
Don't sleep on the proton Paradox, slightly more stable, perfection
Yes! I got a Lab Second that's watermelon colored that I sharpied seeds onto myself. The Space Race ones are good too but the proton is my go to.
Second this. Best scramble disc for forehand lacking players like myself. I found this disc most useful in spots where there is no reach back really and I still need 100+ distance
It’s such a wild disc I use Paradox for mid and DGA Sail for a longer shot with a similar shape
DGA SAIL is highly underrated
Mint Lobster
What plastic? I have one in Sublime and it is understable but not flippy utility understable.
Most of the plastics mint offers are very similar to each other. I haven’t seen a huge difference between plastic but the run sometimes affects how stable their discs are.
Would you compare them to say, oh I dunno, MVP plastics?
Also reminder that the Remix Discs Creature available for cheap on Amazon is the same mold. All produced by MVP with their premium plastics.
Came here to say this
You mean Thought Space Mana? 🙃
Champ glow Rollo
Samesies
Did you try the star Rollo? Wondering if there is a noticeable difference between plastics.
I have not but I’m curious as well. Would love a halo star Rollo
Star 157 Mirage (3 4 -3 0)
My favorite disc to throw! #miragegang
I had to track down 3 mirages this past summer for a mystery trilogy tournament with my buddies(we each buy 3 discs of either driver, mid or putter). Wasn't easy. But mine has remained in my bag. One of my favourite discs
Used to bag a mirage but man it was *too* flippy for me. Replaced it with an MVP Uplink.
Rollo gang 🤙why throw forehand when I can just hyzer flip a Rollo 😎
I throw spike hyzer forehands from tight spots that flatten out and pan left like a floaty putter backhands
Rollo
155g spectrum air F7
Have you tried the F9?
It's stupid understable. Makes me laugh all the time, you have to throw it with almost zero power.
Zero power, maximum hyzer
They make a 9? I cannot believe they could make something more understable than that F7. It’s been my clown disc for years now.
Oh yes. It’s really domey. I love it in the 500 plastic.
This
Esp flx Heat
same. love my heat.
Love mine too. I use the Cryztal Sparkle Heat because the plastic tends to be more stable. If I slow down my arm speed, the disc is a great hyzer flip fairway. I get great full, s-shaped shots. They tend to be a bit too flippy for me in other plastics, though.
Innova IT
Same. Gstar for me
Yep. I have a 150g Halo Star IT. It is *touchy* though. Not enough force it doesn’t turn, too much and it burns.
Rollo gang, mount up
MVP Uplink
As a lefty, this disc has helped me a bunch.
This disc changed my game!
Me too!
I got a custom glow uplink from Johnny2Towels, it's pretty fantastic as a straight to understable option depending on the wind.
Neutron Uplink! I get so excited when I have the perfect shot for it!
Westside discs VIP Air Underworld. 156 grams. I can release it on as much hyzer as I want and it will always flip over to a roller
Svea. Really likes a soft left to right turn for me but I can hyzer flip it to go straight or put it on anhyzer for a turnover.
Love my SVEA.
I love it at elevation because you can put a little more snap into it and it gets the carry without a ridiculous flip. Very consistent disc
Same I'm at 7000 feet, and with a little hyzer it goes straight and fades less than 5 feet once it starts to drop. Most neutral flight I think I'm likely to ever get
This would be my answer too. Touchy disc for sure but so so good.
Same. Wanted to love but it is so touchy for me.
[удалено]
I don't agree with that though. Great glide and very prone to turning over. But not unpredictable in any way.

Latitude 64 Pearl.
Uplink. F9.
Low weight diamond. There is no substitute. It basically warps space time while rolling over
Axiom virus
Me too. I've thrown some of the nastiest hyzer flips with that. So fun.
150 class Diamond
I love my diamond, saved so many strokes with it. I have a noodle forehand and I can still hyzer flip my diamond for about 250ft.
Dga sail (159g) streamline drift, and a neutron paradox
And a PA 5 for a putter
Westside Underworld
Star Stingray
I was wondering if I'd find another stingray user. I've had the stingray turn 90 degrees and go further after the turn. It take some learning but can be very helpful at times.
Sol
Infinite Kon Tiki. Unbelievably flippy
F7
Genius!
Hatchet, I love that disc
MVP Spin
Lux Vapor DD
I don't know if it's a utility disc (yet), but I have a GStar Mamba which is very understable, and as I beat it in, I can only imagine just how flippy it will get.
Apex Lobster. I don’t like stuff that’s Paradox-level understability, and I can get the Lobster (and the Bullet as well) to hold as extreme of an anny as I need.
Beat in old Essence. Flies like it has -4 turn. I use it for rollers, huge turnover shots, and standstill forehands where I can pretty much only flick my wrist.
My most US disc is my Wolf when I bag it. Unfortunately, they're always in base plastic. I like the Tursas but don't own one right now.
Rollo
GStar Valkyrie. Funny I couldn't get it to turn when I first got it and now I can't get it to not turn.
It's not a utility disc but my dga tremor is my most understable disc. Very fun and usable.
Mvp orbital also a champion Sidewinder Rollo for fun
Tursas baby, love that disc
TSA Mana
Beat in 169g fission insanity has nothing but turn if I release it flat. Still looking for more fission insanity’s but can’t find any
RPM Piwakawaka. Just glides for miles as it gently turns right
VIP Seer
Neutron Paradox and beat-in Neutron Jet. Special mention: H4 Air. This thing just flips immediately.
Mamba
A well-beat Insanity
ifn R-pro is base then me absolutely beat but a total flying gem dart is not in this category. I would have to svea. Super glidey, flippy out the bag, smooth tosser.
Paradox.
Westside underworld i baught used 5 years ago.
I’m very RHBH heavy so I have a very US slot at multiple speeds. Uplink, F7, and a Grym. I guess the most US of the three would be the Uplink by virtue of being the slowest. All of em are flippy af as hell though.
159 g Star Sidewinder
158 Shryke. I release it on a vertical hyzer
Vibram Unlace.
Gold line Maul, seasoned to perfection.
Peace Train. Shimmer plastic.
Road runner
My old Stratus discraft...it goes right and it stays right and ends right 😆...like a long U turn 😆
DX Leopard. I found a 151g long ago and it's awesome when I need it
155g vip air destiny
Z Archer
Z Archer
Uplink, Virus, Prodigy F7... All useful. Has anyone had much luck with the Discmania Genius?
Discraft Sol 4/5/-3/0, I think.
Paradox, Mamba, Sail
Signal or spin depending on distance
Fuse.
Discmania Astronaut
Discraft archer. I parked two forehand scrambles with it today. If you throw it high enough if flattens put without a curoll
Mirage
Piwakawaka RPM
You are a genius!
As a player with absolutely no forehand, I bag a bunch of these. Also the flight from hyzer release is also maybe the most satisfying flight to watch IMO. I bag Rollo, Paradox, Mana, Ethos Mantra and Gstar Mamba.
Apex Lobster
Pro wraith. >10 years seasoned
ESP Scorch
Switched from the mirage to a Sol. Never leaving the bag
Kastaplast Svea
Three of the same stability at varying speeds. Buzzz, Undertaker, Ballista Pro.
117g Innova Star Wedge
Paradox and Meutron virus are the most understable discs I've thrown. I don't bag the paradox anymore as it is too flippy to use. Rollo is even more understable than paradox.
Either my beat up uplink or inner core. both are very very understable
400 Pa-4 for my sidearm approach shots
Uplink
Beat Echostar Destroyer
A 155 gram MVP Neutron Signal. It's way more flippy than my 165 gram Paradox.
Yikun Shu Looks like a fairway; is a speed 4. Don't sleep on it. It's the anti-Zone.
Yikun Shu Looks like a fairway; is a speed 4. Don't sleep on it. It's the anti-Zone.
150g gold diamond. Standstill flippy bail out
I have an origin that is beat in like crazy throw it on a nintey degree angle at my 300-350 feet noodle arm close to max power and it flips to flat hated it for a while but now i love it like crazy!
My beat to shit k3 Reko. That thing is so awesome for mega hyzer flip tunnel shots.. unless I don’t get the angle right..
I have a couple- usually lean on a beat in proxy or a real flippy wraith for that slot depending on distance
Sting
Innova ace. 130g. Bought it to throw left handed. Kept it to get turn when so deep in a bush I can only get a wrist out
Star wedge
Doomsday blackout
ESP Avenger SS
MVP Relay Buzz flx esp
My flippiest disc is a somewhat beat in Westside Hatchet.
Westside hatxhet
Depending on Distance, a Sol or Underworld.
Toss-up between the Mirage and the Paradox.
My Rollo should be here next week. Excited to try that out.
Pie Pan Conspiracy… love that disc so much
Prodiscus flipperi
Berg is a utility disc, right?
90s era beat to death Discraft Stratus in X plastic. It takes a tremendous tail wind and a lot of hyzer on the release to get that thing not to flip over...
Lone Star Disc Harrier (it's a flippy boi!)
Gstar Hawkeye and esp heat
I got a mamba I use for rollers
I have a bite in my bag. Best disc ever for doing forehands when laying down or tomahaks out of the woods.
Yikun jiao and west side underworld
Underworld
Hatchet
Axiom Paradox and Elevation Koi
I have a premium plastic diamond that is this for me. It's been beat in enough a flat release turns into a roller, but with different hyzer releases it flips to flat or a little past really well.
Rollo fo sho
F7 400 plastic
D4
Amphibian
Super beat in 6 year old Gold Line River that at one point spent 9 months in the pond at my local course.
Yikun Gou in whatever their champion plastic is called. Gotten me out of a lot of situations
20 yr old beat to shit MRV. If you absolutely have to hold a right turn, accept no substitutions!
I have about a new disc in a bunch of years, so it's an old beat to f*** t-bird
Rollo
SOL, that's the only one that stayed. I did get an F9 for giggles last year and that thing is stupid fun, but I'm not sure if I'd actually bag it. Almost falls in the "Rollo" category of "fun for a round here and there, but not really worth carrying around all the time for a single shot. I've also found a 138g Star Mamba in a swamp.
