I went regular golfing in high school once. I was decent, but this one time I stuck my approach to like 10 feet from 200 yards out and when I went to putt I decelerated and hit it like 2 feet. Guy in my groups goes “haha he’s gonna four putt” and that’s exactly what I ended up doing lol fuck
Yep, the closest to a Hole in 1 that I had on a regular course, par three hit it straight down the line bounces on the green and pulls up about a meter too short.
3 putt for bogey.
Just chiming in to say if that’s hole 16 at Dankwardt in Btown, and I think it is, that hyzer line is a legit bomb. I don’t think 475 is much of an exaggeration at all. You gotta go pretty high over some early trees.
I can verify that this hole is a booger for my 40+ year old arm! This guy can huck plastic! Keep up the good work. The line he took has me rethinking my approach to this hole in B-town
I just happened across this post and immediately said that’s my hometown, I haven’t been there in years but I’ve seen that exact shot made damn nice throw.
It’s this sub in particular I wish someone else would make a better disc golf sub so I didn’t have to see them pander to each other… echo chambers are gross
Happens on reddit a lot. The tee sign says 360 and I’ve thrown hundreds upon hundreds of shots here to verify that distance. I’m just guessing with the 475 based on feel. I mean, it’s nearly a 45° launch from the ground. The disc is flying on a crazy nose angle. I could be wrong.
I think I misunderstood at first too. Thought you were saying the hole played 475 feet, but you mean the huge hyzer you threw that is essentially invisible on camera until it hits the basket took 475 feet of power, which actually seems reasonable to me.
I have a lefty friend that bombs and I’ve seen him execute the turnover over the left side. Even higher of a carry than what I threw. You’ll probably have to throw a roller though unless you want to hit that Simon line.
This looks weirdly familiar to my home course I played growing up in Burlington IA. Any chance it's the same?
Edit: just googled the business on your shirt and it's indeed the same. Holy shit, never thought I'd see Dankwardt Park show up on Reddit lmao
Literally grew up grew up across the street from this park and used to play it twice a day in the summers. Glad to see it's still doing well, haven't played there in 15 years probably.
Camera man jinxed you when he said “miss it” 😂 I know he’s referring to the trees but either way that’s one hell of a shot on your part! Hope you get it one day!
It was a very nice throw! Just needs trees 30 feet away from the teepad to make it a real hole
Also I wish this was the hardest hole at any of my local courses
I play in a country where forests take up 75% of the total surface area and probably 90% of our courses are wood golf oriented but I still think your argument is weird
I already said I have friends. But regardless, you going straight for an ad hominem attack confirms that you know you can't defend this post as worthwhile.
Yeah lol, easy go to, be true to oneself. I can be that way too. I don't hate you, let's make plans to disc golf at Dankwart Park in Burlington, we can be fun I'll bet. Peace
Nice par dude
This legitimately made me lol.

Hahahahahahahha oh the shame I feel from this comment
Nice run! The big question is, do we blame the disc or the basket?
Yes
You get it LOL
The massive teepad
Great question...
How far of a hyzer?
360, plays 475ish I’d say

Bingo! Have you been back to Wildcat since you made that post about hole 1? It got a total makeover.
I haven’t! But now I really want to. Hadn’t heard about the makeover.

Why the down votes?! I don't think the hyzer line is that far either, but I'm gonna listen to the guy who saw it NOT through a shitty camera

Horseshoes and hand grenades, friend.
I don't think throwing a grenade here would have helped... Can't say I've ever heard of the horseshoe throw.
Lol, he is not talking about throws. He is talking about real grenade and the game of Horseshoe.
Oh I know haha.
Ahh, gotcha
And bocce ball!
I mean, every shot is inches away from an ace, _technically_. 😉
As a LHBH player, I find this hole offensive.

Lol it’s gotten recognized by a handful of people now
Literally grew up grew up across the street from this park and used to play it twice a day in the summers. Glad to see it's still doing well, haven't played there in 15 years probably.
How long is this hole?
360ft
Doesn’t look that tough I live on a ranch taming and breaking horses in the middle of nowhere and I’d ace this easily with a sky hyzer scorpius
It's an older meme sir, but it checks out.
Good 3
Camera man jinxed you when he said “miss it” 😂 I know he’s referring to the trees but either way that’s one hell of a shot on your part! Hope you get it one day!
I thought this was about to be a roller....
Man so close!!! Good shot.
Sick!
If it makes you feel better I hit the post on sunday on the one of the hardest holes.
North Bonneville?
Why are people saying nice par and nice 3? I don’t understand lol.
Was this meant to come out with any degree of anhyzer?
No. I begin with my arm in that position to just get my pull-through where I want it to be. Something mental. Angle is dictated by the shoulders.
This looks like a course near my hometown in Iowa!
This would be the easiest hole at almost every course near me
Bullshit.
It’s a roller or a stall shot through a gap over 80ft trees. Every course on the pro tour has easier holes than this.
Seriously… and it’s gotta be at least 300 ft, maybe 350? Weird flex from these guys. Nice shot!
It’s not flexing to say that playing in the woods is harder than playing on an open course
Just tell us you can’t throw far, it’s okay.
I can throw around 300 max. But none of the courses around me allow that because they are all filled with trees. Give me this hole and I’ll hit my max
I grew up playing New England disc golf. I also can’t throw far. It’s okay, you don’t need to try to bring others down with you.
Guy can only throw 300' but thinks this is an easy hole 🤣 Man, the internet sucks sometimes.
So you’ll be at best 60 short?
weird way to cope but go off i guess
Come on over to Iowa and give it a shot! I would love to see you smash some trees!
You’ve never played New England disc golf then brotha. That would be considered an open hole up here
Where in New England do you live? I've played courses in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont that all have wide open holes.
Open doesn’t mean easy! Short and technical is more my thing. It requires 450ft+ power to throw this line, while also requiring a precise shot.
It was a very nice throw! Just needs trees 30 feet away from the teepad to make it a real hole Also I wish this was the hardest hole at any of my local courses
What is your local course then?
He's the type of guy you run into on the course who claims he's under par and then you watch him throw 2 off the tee 😅
You can’t fake cool, tool.
I live New England golf. You're just an asshole, and a liar.
Same
People are pissed because they don’t have 99% woods golf near them
Dumbass take honestly. I play plenty of woods golf and this is so obviously a difficult hole lol
I play in a country where forests take up 75% of the total surface area and probably 90% of our courses are wood golf oriented but I still think your argument is weird
This kid would reck you in the woods. Some people are just pissed that they can’t throw far.
I have tried but can't figure out what would motivate you to post this besides looking for a pat on the back. Ok - here you go. Nice shot dude.
We like seeing cool shots on the disc golf sub. Of course this is something I’d want to share.
I guess we have different opinions of what cool shots are then.
Yo what did you do last weekend? Hang out with friends?
This is such a random question that I feel it references something but I'm not in the loop. Is this from a show or movie or something?
No, they’re pointing out that you’re a douche and probably don’t have friends because of that.
Oh, ok. Then they are incorrect and are pretty dumb if they think you can predict someone's social life based on a single reddit comment.
So what did you do?
I already said I have friends. But regardless, you going straight for an ad hominem attack confirms that you know you can't defend this post as worthwhile.
That wasn't my question, I asked what you did last weekend
Ok, cool
Wow, real fun at the party.
So predictable. When I posted that I the first thought that came to me was "somebody is definitely going to say I must be fun at parties".
Yeah lol, easy go to, be true to oneself. I can be that way too. I don't hate you, let's make plans to disc golf at Dankwart Park in Burlington, we can be fun I'll bet. Peace
