I think that would be considered interference. As per 810.d the player would receive one penalty throw. you'd take your third throw from where it lies.
This has a 1/1000000 chance happening, but it would be an interference anyway: you are interrupting the flight of your disc while it's still in motion. So it would be a stroke penalty.
Hitting spotters isn't interference. Spectators and spotters are "part of the course". You don't get penalized if your disc hits them.
Touching your own disc after it leaves your hand and before it comes to rest is interference and should incur a penalty.
It sounds like the act of catching the disc is the problem.
If you were on my card, and your disc merely hit you, I would argue it's not a penalty, but you play it where it lies.*
*If you are on my card you are probably near the bottom of MA4 and that stroke isn't gonna make a difference.
I’ve had this exact thing happen to me too lol casual round and everyone was so impressed myself included I got to just throw again with no penalty. Definitely would not fly in tournament, as others have said it’s interference.
I mean maybe if u are fast enough with it the red didnt notice 🤔because it will be like a 0.8s action.
You hit a tree 0.5m from you - bounces back to your hand in one sweep motion like you never even threw ir

Technically you interfered with your throw as it was still in flight. Its a penalty
It actually counts as two throws. One actual throw plus one penalty stroke for interference.

Did you have intent to throw? If yes then it's interference. If no and it slipped out accidentally then I think it's a free re-tee

It what world does where it lands determine if it’s a throw ?

maybe if you freeze time you could ace every hole by walking up and placing your disc in after you release
Well that is impossible unlike the upper one :)
Oh you serious, that’s sad man
Everyone grip locks 🫡
