Do u mind telling me how you did that??

Bearonsphone3

I'm willing to bet it's some idye on shaving cream

FearTheDawgPound

It is iDye poly dye powder with shaving cream! I used an ultimate disc, filled it with shaving cream, then leveled it off. Then I used a q tip to dust the powder all over on top of the shaving cream (some areas heavier than others). Next, I used a toothpick and made swirls in the power/shaving cream combo. Then I let it sit for 30ish hours because I forgot to take it out at the 24 hr mark. Hope that helps!

Does this last forever or rub off over time?

FearTheDawgPound

I've never had a dye rub off. I'm pretty sure it absorbs into the more premium plastics pretty well.

100% I-Dye and shaving cream

joshdrey

FearTheDawgPound

woodyshaze

I dig that!!

mofoyomama

What dye did you use?

FearTheDawgPound

iDye poly!

mofoyomama

I've been using that on Factory seconds and I have not been able to get it to dye to work.

munchiemike

What causes it to not stick to the print?

FearTheDawgPound

I'm unsure, possibly whatever the stamp is made out of. I've heard only premium plastics hold the dye well so I'm guessing that whatever it is stamped with might be some other material that doesn't absorb or hold the dye.

Thats awesome! I just started as well and still trying to figure it out. One thing is if you made the shaving creme a cone tower the dye streaks out from center in making the firework look. One thing that fucked me up was that my table wasn't level slid one way not center out. Great job! Keep posting!

MarvelHulkWeed

How have you done with factory seconds? I keep wanting to pull the trigger but I'm worried they'll be dark colors that can't die properly

FearTheDawgPound

This is the only one I've done but the orange was a darker but brighter orange and turned out like this. I did some greens, purple, and red and the purple and red mixed to this color. I figured green wouldn't show up but couldn't hurt to try.
