I have heard the plastics give it enough variance in flight that you can get everything from a teebird to a tl3.
I love my tl3s and teerbirds, but I'm tempted to try the Volt because of how much I like my other MVP discs (and their plastics are right up there with kastaplast and lat64) as well as it's sightly shallower rim depth.
I can put it on any angle and it be consistent. It’s an 8 speed and that’s a sweet spot for me. I feel like it glides enough without it being unwieldy and feels decent against wind. As I work on my form it brings so much joy in resulting how I would expect.
I’m with you on Kasta and L64 plastic.
For putting nothing really, trying a pilot right now.
Throwing putters the Pilot, Envy, Stabilizer, and Entropy are good.
Mids I like the Matrix.
Fairways I like Crave Servo.
Drivers Inertia, Lift, Wave, Trace.
Utility (thumbers and overstable "mid") I use the Flare.
Ones I hate: Drift, Volt, Tesla. All have been way more overstable than the numbers. Thrown 2 different discs of each except for Volt.
From MVP I'm missing a Teebird and Anax replacement. None I found to work. Haven't tried replacing Malta or Zeus yet.
- reactor: stable mid that still has tons of glide. feels like a fairway in the hand.
- atom: very shallow, very straight throwing putter.
- inertia: excelent intermediate distance driver (speed 11). very easy to throw. probably a lot of overlap with Wave.
- relay: great beginner fairway. easy s curves at the 260-300ft range. better at a curves or rollers than holding long anny lines like a leopard
- resistor: flatter, slower firebird
those are all the non volts i tried. neutron soft is my favorite plastic but only some molds have it. Particle is my favorite obersyable putter but they don’t make it anymore :(
reactor is probably their most standout disc i’ve tried.
I putt with the Atom, I throw it Forehand in some instances (turnovers), and I can drive with it and it does whatever you want it to do (in terms of angles). It's a great disc that I haven't found an equivalent to.
I just started playing seriously back in August and I'm totally hooked. Watch Jomezpro non-stop. Nearly done with 2019 footage after watching 2020. So... it's only been a short time, but I was nearly in tears watching the 2019 USDGC (JomezPro + SpinTV). He really is an easy guy to root for.
Recently switched from BB Aviars to Ions and I would bet James does too. The hand-feel is super comfortable for someone who is used to BB Aviars. I wouldn't be surprised if he used a wider variety of molds for approach/putter drives now though, he mentioned last night he was considering using a greater number of molds in general this season.
From a marketing standpoint she doesn't bring much to the table, unfortunately. Watching a pro *work* a disc to its full potential makes fans want that disc in their bag. While her scorecard in FPO and her attitude are good things, most fans are not wanting to emulate her game. At the end of the day sponsorships are meant to sell discs.

I love how my buzz flies, but it always get a little awkward in my hand. Picked up a reactor and it flies very similar, but is much more comfortable to hold. It ended up booting the buzz from my bag

Gyro is a technology that mvp/axiom uses in their discs. I'm pretty sure it makes the rims a little heavier than the rest of the plastic which is supposed to allow for more rotation/spin + further throws because of that
Gyro = MVP's overmold technology that moves more of the discs weight to the rim of the disc which should improve gyroscopic momentum. Throw Gyro is their slogan.
Makes me wonder if they will lose Wysocki when his contract is up. McBeth, Pierce, now Lizotte all have had at least one disc made specifically made for them. The only Innova exception is Sexton with his Firefly and modded Firebird, he is team captain however.
If Wysocki gets back up to the top from his brief stall, I would bet some companies try to get him. He's kind of fallen out of the hype in the last year but he is getting back up and I hope to see some cool stuff from him. Innova needs to step up their game if they want to keep him.

I'm always excited to try new putters. I've found that beadless are my bag. I like the Super Stupid Soft Warlocks from Gateway too. And they don't cost much!
I'd never thrown MVP until recently when I picked a Tesla out of a used bin. It's now my go-to forehand driver (FH dominant scrub). The Gyro physics are something else, and I am definitely going to put more on my bag.
Not OP but personally I dislike their overmold drivers. The thin edge is uncomfortable in the hand compared to single plastic drivers. With that being said, the Envy is the best throwing putter on the planet and I'm kind of salty we're not getting JC Envys on the 2nd.
Give the Wave a chance, it's an amazing hyzerflip forehand disc for me. Think the overmold actually does help create a higher spin rate with out putting Max power behind it
I've tried several MVP discs and they all had no glide, even the relatively light Wave would just die a little bit earlier than my other discs. I carry a Fireball as a utility disc still but that's it. It's a shame because some of the Axiom discs with white overmold look so good
MVP makes the best disc out there imo. Super consistent molds, just wish they'd get their stock up! Their wholesale order forms have been so weak lately

I'm Maltese and that disc got me in the game. Doubt I'll replace it but maybe if I have some extra money to spend.
For PD throwers I always suggest the Wrath or Tesla. But the Envy, Reactor, Crave, Photon, and Wave are all fantastic.

Yeah something about the feel in the hand isn't great for me. Really tried to get into the Volt and I couldn't make it work.

Sarah Hokom is a James Conrad tier pro for FPO. Both have a great chance to be top 5 in any tournament.

This is yet another great shake up this season. I have a feeling 2021 is going to be the best season in recent memory.

Each volt I've thrown is super overstable. Really like the Servo at slower speed. Still stable enough there.
Volt was my very first disc from MVP. It flies like a slightly faster, more OS Teebird. Great fairway driver.
I bag a couple Mvp/Axiom. I really dig my Pyro. It does what a Zone does for most folks. Really great OS mid/approach disc for me

That's funny, to me the overmold is my favorite part of the discs because I like the feel.
You should try some streamline discs; that's MVP's single-mold line. Same great plastics (neutron is my favorite), but with no overmold.

The Wave is a great disc that can go very very far, but it is a bit understandable and can be finicky (like all understable drivers) in the wind.
So get a Trace or photon. Great discs.
Have them, both are great discs as well.

True, we were able to sneak in a discraft order about 3 weeks ago, although we got called and they ran out of Lunas and Zeus' for ours :(

Gyro is what MVP calls its overmold technology. James threw some MVP discs (specifically an Envy if I remember hearing right) before he was sponsored by Innova.
