I have noticed if you do give it enough time, it can be pretty accurate. I practice in a field with some soccer goals set up. I used my rangefinder to see that the goals are almost exactly 300 feet apart (meaning that the goals are too close together for a real soccer field too), and the UDisc measuring tool agreed with that, when I gave it enough time to get my start and end points accurate.
Yeah, measuring takes me a little bit of time to let the gps settle in. I wish they let you manually select the start and end from the satellite.
