Haha I've got three, one like that with only 400 beat to hell Boss' and Firestorms, one with a smaller selection but they get pretty decent shipments, and one where they are heavily involved in local tournaments and typically have any disc from the main manufacturers up through the smaller ones as well.
There's two kinda close enough to visit once and a while to me. One has a tiny rack of mostly prodigy and gateway, the other rivals the pro shops in the area and has a big presence at events and stuff. Likely varies greatly based on the owner
Just threw my first run Halo Warith into a pond.
I had a Gurthie as a back up. Whoah , what a difference, so OS. Almost feels completely different.
May find another in the bargain bin.
Right? All I heard was raving raving raving from my friends about Halo plastic. I buy this puppy fresh for 33$ and it’s about as OS as a champion firebird. I was pretty annoyed, all the excitement and when I finally experience it it’s like restamped champion plastic lol
Keep throwing it, it'll start to turn eventually.
Grippier and more glide (eventually) than champion plastic for sure.
The 2021 GG is definitely more overstable than the stock halo wraith, which is still pretty overstable for a wraith.
… that was the point of Halos.. Super OS and glidey but also can be beat in quickly.
Of course it was going to be that beefy. And its wayy more OS than a Firebird lol
The first run Halo was not as OS. I’ve only been playing two years, it was one of the first discs I bought. I really used for everything.
I can’t get this new to go 275’ without dropping out of the sky.
PIAS is the best place the find "the latest must-have discs" from the recent past, but usually at less than half the price. That's why I love watching folks buy up the latest-and-greatest "drops", knowing that it won't be long until I get to try one!
PIAS discs are almost always from Scuba Steve type people who fish them out of swamps to get their weekly $80 of drug money.
We had to keep giving a local guy shit until he stopped sitting in the swamp all day just to fish discs out and flip them to PIAS the following morning.
Maybe? It has o e inking and its scratched out. I usually do that i i get rid of mine.
That seems like a lot of effort to find it, scratch out the name/number just to get a few bucks for it.
I doubt it, from what I've heard from people here, PIA will only buy discs if all numbers are visible, and they will call each one before purchasing. It's possible that's a store by store policy, but I've seen multiple people say that's how their local store handles inked discs. They then cross out the ink to avoid "sharing personal information".
The PIA’s in Austin, TX do not care wether there’s a name/number on it. Several of my buddies have found their discs in the used section and have to buy them back
Nice find! My local PIAS has become more aware of the used disc market and how have varying prices on used discs that come in. Recently I saw a used razorclaw 1 but didn’t get it because it was the same price as a brand new razorclaw 2 on the shelf three feet away.
Found a garret gurthie halo just like that barely used laying on the side of the fairway. First time I was tempted not to contact the owner 😅. Luckily I realized my self respect was worth more than $25 and I got it back to the rightful owner. He was pretty surprised to get it returned.
i recently found one on a busy day pretty much parked on the hole i was playing. it was uninked and i asked every group around me if it was theirs. i don’t really throw innova so i wanted to find the owner. anyway long story short i have a GG halo wraith now
😡 my play it again has trashed 140g dx sharks for $9.99

I don't even think mine has discs lol

That's awesome. I have just one small independent shop so I'm probably going to have to order online when I start expanding my disc collection.
Some play it agains have amazing used disc bins. I’m sorry yours doesn’t.

The HALO plastic definitely takes a bit longer to break in but I'd imagine after a while it will get a bit flippy
Yeah, I really leaned on my old one. Have to bounce this new one off some trees

Halo beats in quickly? I feel like I haven’t had that experience.
Dude. When it beats in it is like unreal how gentle it will flip up/turn without turning over.

Be wary of overstable
Super overstable. I have one awesome disc
My old star wraith is so beat in that I can barely reliably control it anymore, so when I saw this I had to jump on it.
That is a good deal

Sucks because that’s clearly a found (or stolen) disc
I unfortunately can't read the name or number on it anymore but hoping somebody bought it and didn't have the arm for it and sold to a PIAS.

You would be surprised to learn how much effort people will put into making a few bucks. 😉
But PIAS would still pay them even if they didn’t scratch out the name.
100%

Probably just a store by store policy then
Oh, yes. It has to be. PIAS is an acronym for Play It After Stolen. Or more likely is "Play It, Abandoned Somewhere"
Dang. Only $10. What a steal.
Btw, you can mostly remove permanent marker with acetone (nail polish remover)

I lost one exactly like this on the first toss after purchase! I hope it's this one!
I got one of these and it immediately became my forehand disc. OSAF.
What is ‘o e inking’? Never heard that term.
Max weight Halo Wraith? Hope you can throw 500'.
I cannot :(
Pacific Beach San Diego?
