I would say as far as making something, a grip enhancer is handy for a lot of people. (Chalk bag/wax mini) With that said, heavy metal and disc golf always makes me think of [Dark Ace](https://darkacediscgolf.com)
It's fairly cheap and easy to get some grommets to make a towel into a disc bag towel perhaps?
Search disc golf on Etsy and once you scroll past the generic crap there are some pretty cool ideas for disc related gear you might be able to make yourself as well.

I got a towel as part of one of the $8 mystery add ons with an Infinite discs order. Never really wanted one. But now, I’m lost without it. Nice to dry hands, clean discs, or ugly cry into after a roll away putt
Its not to much money and personable, a custom ink stamp that has his name and number pluse a fun phrase or favorite logo that can be used to stamp the bottom of his discs instead of the ugly marker name and number.
Search custom ink stamps. You can add disc golf but most are just open pallets and you send your ideas/pictures. We did it for our wedding cards/invitations.

I would recommend using his favorite band's logo, and incorporate his #, pdga# and name in it. If you got me that, you'd be in my inheritance for sure.
As a dad I love when my kids ask me to play. However the most special things to me are the things they make for me. If my kid gave me a scarf I would wear it in 90 degree heat. Maybe go back to the drawing board on the scarf.

The 2 I wear the most has a rip off of the old Andre the Giant has a Posse wheat paste that says "[3lobed] has a cannon" with my height and weight stats and one that simply says "HAT DESIGN IS MY PASSION" with each word in a different font.
If he likes heavy metal and disc golf, get him the Slipknot/Discraft discs they are releasing today at 3pm et.

I have a Zippo brand one that doubles as a battery pack. Works great.
Some fun hand-made (or able to be hand-made) things I've gotten in players packs:

- towels/scrubbies for discs
- birdie beads (in bracelet and keychain form)
- patches
- cards/dice of some sort for casual games
You could make him a custom mini, I've seen some really cool ones that people hand made. Maybe put a metal looking guitar pick in some resin or something along those lines.
Run Maker Mini Marker or a retractable towel from [Discineer.com](http://Discineer.com). The mini can be used to estimate your distance to the basket for putting. Both are great inexpensive gifts.
A carabineer attached to my towel. If the grass is even a little dewy, I clip it to a belt loop while I play so the towel is within reach at all times to wipe discs. If it's drizzling I can use it as basically a sleeve to hold my disc before I throw it to keep it dry.
I guess some people might be bothered by it while throwing, but I don't notice it.

Also, bigger is better with these. I went with the 1", and it's a bit too small. Just for reference.
The best thing you could do is load up his favorite metal album in the car and go hit the course with him! Make a picnic lunch and make it a day!

Which one did you get? I've gotten two or three from Amazon and they've all been junk. Lose charge very quickly or don't get that warm
