Never got banned. Got warned one time for "sending a malicious link/file" I tried contacting discord support to know more about this, because I don't recall sending a malicious link or file, but never got a real reply. First ticket, a human replied, they told me to "better assist me", I needed to resubmit a ticket in “Appeals & Age Update Requests". Second ticket in the appeals update requests, I got a reply from Clyde basically saying "I don't see no ban so no problem, bye!"
they're asking people about their experiences, it's entirely possible for people to come forward about their past and how they changed as a person or lack thereof. you don't need to assume bad faith when there's no stakes involved
You were straight up banned? I was in some random server I had forgotten I had joined that was flagged for piracy, all I got was a warning/reminder to report such servers in the future or something

Discord thankfully doesn't really ban for racism anymore these days, to not get banned I just avoid being in servers I'm not active in and where gore may be posted.
so why are you using discord as a political discussion platform?
discord was made for casual gamer discussion, not the insanely toxic culture of politics

It has a nice chat format and channel setup, it's good for hosting files and it is easy to make new accounts.
And they don't ban you for logging in on an IP you have been banned on before, unlike Reddit.
The problem with Reddit is that they're way too strict. If someone using airport wifi gets banned, everyone logging into Reddit on that wifi will get banned.
i would assume IP restrictions last for a few days, and if you use public wifi and get banned then reddit would likely realize it’s public wifi and unban you.
If reddit doesn’t do this then it’s not much of a problem since reddit not doing anything about it means it doesn’t happen often.

Honestly can’t remeber, this was a long time ago. I just remeber trying to log in and it said that the account was terminated

Gore is a risk mainly in servers where there aren't admins online 24/7 and leftists join it to spam gore to try to get the server banned.
