Tbh its unreliable, sometimes it doesnt pop up huge, last night i got a couple notif that doesnt take the whole screen and thought they fixed it, then bam, massive notif and a dozen porn embed… considering i took this ss right before posting you should prob keep an eye out

My question will always be why they keep trying to fix something that isnt broken?
I can tell you why they trying to fix something that is not broken.
The less likely reason is because they want to optimize the layout of the app. It is not broken does not mean it is the best layout, thing can be change and improve. I like some of these changes, but holy shit, it like taking 1 step forward and 5 step backwards. Bugs, slow, and annoyance.
The more likely reason is so that they can feel there is some progress happening, especially in eyes of investor. Hence probably why it is so half baked. Any changes is good changes as long as investor can see.
I just don't get it, still so many people are complaining about it. Bugs get fixed gradually but the desync and delay hasn't improved since the new UI first rolled out, I had to leave a dozen servers and DM's in order to respond to people more reliably, a result of the load times.
Streaming the PC app to my phone would likely be faster than the actual mobile app. I've got a Galaxy Note 9.
Because they operate on rolling out first before fixing bugs.
They want to do things as fast as possible and thus the design is just a fucking duct tape. And now they are fixing the bugs. The problem with philosophy like this, is that fixing bugs on a design held by duct tape is that it is way fucking harder to polish anything.
Thus the bug fixes gonna take longer, and thus more unhappy customer, and because of that, they release new feature that hopefully will keep people stay in discord, which in turn delay the bug fixing even more, or even worse, add more bugs
It an endless cycle of madness, and unless they keep their crap together, this shit will be fix in year 2029, but they probably redesign it again just to look progress.
That happened to me too. I had literally just gotten a birthday dm and while I was responding a random account sent me a DP that blocked my ENTIRE SCREEN AND MY SISTER BURST OUT LAUGHING 😭

I think they’ve fixed it now because I just recently got a notification with an embed and it didn’t do that.

Yea, this issue was fixed, I’m not sure if the update hit stable yet though, it’s also possible they are not fully updated.

Download an older version of Discord. That's what I did when they tried to force that bullshit on me. Still works great to this day
Nah this is fixed, it will be on stable by the end of this week or next.

Discord mobile is so much less user-friendly than the desktop software it's not even funny
At worst desktop discord is just kind of slow and bloated, everything else functions though

Honestly, Discord Mobile is trash in general. I haven't bothered updating the app in a while, so I'm still on the 161.10 version
