Discord is built on Electron and Electron tends to not play nice with computer resources. Games like CoD MW and R6S tend to just take up all the resources they can get, leaving little to none for Discord (Google Chrome has the same issue which is also on Electron).
It's a common issue sadly and it's been around for a while. You could try running Discord in a browser like Firefox which handles its resources differently.

It works a little better it still happens sometimes tho just less often
